Do you remember who Shannon Price is? Many people don’t really seem to be all that familiar with her name, but they’re certainly familiar with what she was accused of doing. This is the ex-wife of the star of Different Strokes, Gary Coleman. They were married and divorced in less than a year, back in 2007. By all accounts, they didn’t have the best of relationships and things got even murkier from there. When Coleman died, there was plenty of accusation to go around, suggesting that she had something to do with it. After they were divorced, Coleman actually filed

Provo, Utah -- Gary Coleman's ex-wife wants a judge to award her the child TV star's estate.
Shannon Price testified Monday in 4th District Court that even though the two divorced in 2008, they kept living together and presented themselves to the public as married until his death May 28, 2010.
The "Diff'rent Strokes" actor was taken off life support after suffering a head injury in a fall at his home, according to a copy of his death certificate in court records. He was 42.
Another woman, Anna Gray, says Coleman named her a beneficiary and executor of his estate in 2005. Gray managed Coleman's affairs for a number of years and was his ex-girlfriend.
The trial started Monday and was to continue Tuesday.
Gray, representing herself, asked Price why she took her name off the deed to the couple's house in Santaquin, Utah.

Gary Coleman's ex-wife and his former girlfriend have faced off in court as they battle for control of the late star's estate.
The Diff'rent Strokes actor, 42, died in May, 2010 after suffering a brain haemorrhage following a fall at his home in Utah.
His ex-wife, Shannon Price, who divorced the actor in 2008, claims she is entitled to his estate but is facing a challenge from his former girlfriend Anna Gray, who managed Coleman's affairs for several years and claims to have been named as a beneficiary and estate executor in 2005.
The case went to court in Utah on Monday and Price testified that she reunited with Coleman after their divorce, but kept the relationship out of the spotlight, telling the court, "We decided that we couldn't be without each other... He didn't want to have to explain (the divorce) to the public or the media. He did not like the media. We wanted to keep our lives private."
During the proceedings, Price produced a Valentine's Day card she allegedly gave Coleman in 2009 as part of her claim they were still in a loving relationship after their official split, according to The Salt Lake Tribune.
Gray, who is representing herself during the trial, asserts she should be granted control of the estate.
The case continues.

Tragic actor Gary Coleman's former manager Vic Perillo has sensationally revealed his late client's remains have still yet to be buried or cremated as the first anniversary of the star's death looms.
Coleman died on 28 May, 2010, and, according to Perillo, his burial plans are still on hold because of a legal wrangle between his parents and his estranged wife.
In an essay obtained by WENN, in which Perillo urges the news networks who covered all the negatives of Coleman's life after he passed away to pay tribute to the former child star, he writes, "This was not the proper and dignified manner to show respect for the magnificent talent the world TV and film audience knew in Gary Coleman. This was not the send off he deserved."
He adds, "Unfortunately we learn of the great works and noble deeds of a person upon their death and at their memorial. Gary's deeds and contributions to the entertainment industry and other endeavours were overshadowed by the desire of the media to stay focused on the misfortunes of his life and all the negatives.
"Gary's downfall was not entirely of his own doing. He had help. There exist within the film and television industry those who make up the body of the Peripheral Industry. The new age life coaches to the stars, the managers and consultants, who have categorically destroyed the lives and careers of many performers. Gary Coleman was a victim of the Peripheral Industry, not of his parents.
"On this, the first anniversary of his death, I have contacted the three major (U.S. TV) networks, asking them to honour Gary, his eight years on Diff'rent Strokes, his seven movies of the week, his work as a spokesman with the National Kidney foundation and the many charitable endeavours he gave of his time and effort to.
"The answer from the networks were, 'Not interested,' 'We don't have any time' and 'We pass...' To praise his work, talent and his person is of little interest to them. And yet, should his ex-wife, Shannon Price, or (Diff'rent Strokes co-star) Todd Bridges make a statement condemning his parents, they are given Carte Blanch time in the press. Have we lost our theatrical moral conscience?"...

Gary Coleman is resting in peace, all right...on an office desk in Utah. A spokeswoman for the late Diff'rent Strokes star's ex-wife, Shannon Price, tells E! News that a third-party lawyer charged with overseeing Coleman's estate still has his ashes. But Shannon hopes a court will approve her request to be named Coleman's common-law wife, which would pave the way for her to gain control of his assets and fulfill what she believed were the late actor and train enthusiast's final wishes. And those are? "Shannon wants to do a road trip and honor Gary's wishes to spread some of his ashes on the Golden Spikes, and she wants to put some in a necklace around her neck, so she...

Gary Coleman's home and belongings remain unsold. The asking price for the property belonging to the "Diff'rent Strokes" actor, who passed away after suffering a serious head injury in 2010, has been reduced to $225,000 in a bid to sell his assets.
Former child star Gary was at the house, located in Utah, U.S., when he fell and suffered the injury, which later led to his death in hospital aged 42.
Gary had bought the house for $320,000 in 2006 and lived in it with ex-wife Shannon Price. It is said to still contain his belongings. A spokesperson for Shannon told website Radar Online, "She can't afford to pay for it."
"She left it up to the third party attorney. It's a big house. She can only do so much. She's paying everything she has to attorneys. And she's very cautious about spending wisely and saving every penny."

The case on Gary Coleman's death has been closed. While there were doubts that the 42-year-old "Diff'rent Strokes" star's death was not an accident, it was indeed an accident and not a murder.
Coleman died May 28 this year two days after suffering a brain hemorrhage from a fall in his home. His ex-wife Shannon Price, who lived with him, was the one who called 911.
A spokeswoman for the Santaquin, Utah police told eonline.com that the probe into the former child star's death has been completed. Their conclusion: there was no foul play.
But perhaps the official report still won't appease the late actor's fans.

Gary Coleman's death is no longer viewed as suspicious. Detectives investigating the death of the "Diff'rent Strokes" star closed the case on Tuesday, October 5, siding with a county coroner's recent verdict that the actor's death, from a brain hemorrhage following a fall in May this year, was not deliberate.
This exonerates his ex-wife Shannon Price, who was criticized for her reaction when she found her ex-husband's body, and made a call to emergency services where she said she hadn't attempted to administer any first aid as she "can't stand blood".
Gary's parents voiced their concerns about the circumstances surrounding their son's death following a fall at his home. The couple's spokesperson Victor Perillo said, "If I had the dollars, I'd hire someone to take another look at the body to see if there was any blunt force trauma to the head. How did he hit his head? Why was there so much blood?...

Gary Coleman's Death Probe -- Case Closed
No one murdered Gary Coleman ... this according to investigators who finally closed the case into the actor's untimely demise.
The decision to shut down the investigation comes just weeks after cops in Utah received and reviewed Coleman's autopsy report -- in which the coroner labeled Gary's death an "accident."
Indeed the autopsy concludes Coleman was in terrible shape before he died. A rep for the Santaquin Police tells us, "[Gary] was an accident waiting to happen. The last time I saw him he literally looked gray.”
Fyi -- no one was ever suspected of killing Gary ... but his kinda-sorta wife Shannon Price did release an unsolicited statement denying any involvement in Coleman's death.

Gary Coleman's ex-wife Shannon Price is fuming after learning the actor's estate administrator is looking to sell the late star's Utah home. Court-appointed administrator Robert Jeffs filed a court motion on Wednesday, August 4, requesting a judge's permission to remove the former child actor's belongings from the house so he can redecorate and place it on the market.
He wants to list the house and an adjacent lot for $324,000, because he's convinced the estate lacks the money to keep up with the monthly mortgage payments. Coleman still owed $325,158 on the mortgage at the time of his death in May. But the "Diff'rent Strokes" star's ex-wife, Shannon Price, is angry at the decision because it was the couple's marital home, reports TMZ.

It was recently announced that Gary Coleman’s estate is trying to sell the house he lived in with his former wife, and ex Shannon Price is not happy about it.
Apparently, just before Gary passed away he told Prices’ rep, Sheila Erickson, that he “wanted [Shannon] to be taken care of” and that “everything goes to her.”
Erickson says, "Gary would want Shannon in that house. It was their house together."
However, Robert Jeffs, the Special Administrator of Gary’s estate, filed a motion yesterday asking a judge to allow him to sell Gary’s Utah home and adjacent lot for $324,000.
Shannon had lived in the house with Coleman but was kicked out in June and was not named in Gary’s currently recognized will.

Otherwise, potential buyers just have to worry about bad karma possible legal action by Coleman's former missus. Shannon Price is hopping mad that Jeffs filed a motion this week seeking...

The court-appointed administrator of Gary Coleman's estate has asked a judge for permission to sell the late actor's Utah home because the star's assets are not enough to cover the monthly mortgage payments.
Robert Jeffs filed the motion in court on Wednesday, requesting to place the property and an adjacent lot on the market for $324,000 (£216,000).
He is also seeking to have the remainder of the former child star's possessions removed from the house in order to call in repairmen and decorators to fix up the place after a realtor described it as being in a "poor/distressed condition".
In court documents obtained by TMZ.com, Jeffs states, "The belongings in the house are disorganised and in disarray."
Coleman still owed $325,158 (£216,772) on the mortgage at the time of his death in May.
The Diff'rent Strokes star's ex-wife, Shannon Price, is currently locked in a court battle to be formally recognised as the dead actor's spouse so she can challenge Coleman's ex-girlfriend, Anna Gray, for control of his estate.
Both claim documents written by Coleman award them his belongings and Price insists she continued to live with the star after their 2008 divorce.

Divorce, shmivorce. Despite their marriage being legally over at the time of Gary Coleman's death in May, Shannon Price is insisting that she was his common-law wife. A case of diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks—or just a play for Coleman's estate? That'll be up to a Utah judge to decide. Price's Provo-based attorney, Todd Bradford, has filed a petition in a Utah court seeking to have their twisted union declared a common-law marriage, which indeed would pave the way for his client to take control of Coleman's assets. Utah's common-law marriage statute requires that "both parties are of legal marriage age and are able to give consent. . .Both...

The redhead has come under fire after the "Diff'rent Strokes" star died following a fall at his home in Utah in May. Gary Coleman was desperate to escape the pressures of stardom at the height of his Diff'rent Strokes fame, but couldn't walk away from the huge pay cheques, according to his ex-wife.
The actor shot to stardom as cute Arnold Jackson in the hugely popular U.S. sitcom, and made a fortune during his time on TV.
But his fame came at a price - he cut all ties with his parents after successfully suing them in 1989 for misappropriating his $3.8 million (£2.53 million) trust fund. The case was settled in 1993.
Coleman's ex-wife Shannon Price has now revealed the actor hated his time in the limelight - and only stayed on the show for the money.
She claims Coleman begged TV bosses to be released form his contract on his 17th birthday, and was left shattered when they allegedly refused.
Price tells Britain's The Sun, "He had a lot of insecurities and trust issues. He told me that after the first few years he wanted to quit, but he was making so much money he couldn't.
"When he was 17 he was promised he could get out of the business if he wanted to, but in the end they didn't let him.
"I was his first romantic relationship. Knowing how big a star he is it makes me feel really special."
Coleman was reportedly earning $100,000 (£66,000) an episode during his time on the show, which he landed at 10 years old and left when he was aged 18.
