- Graduated with honors from California State University, Fullerton, where she earned a B.A. in Communications.

- First movie experience was the opportunity of a lifetime appearing in Disney's The Parent Trap. Chéri was then "discovered" for the second time as a teenager while working at a golf resort in Palm Springs, and promptly booked for a national Callaway golf commercial.
