Neighbours
Neighbors garnered a lot of talk last week because of the show’s first gay kiss and how it was handled. Many thought it was great that it was treated like no big deal in that Chris and Aiden were making out just like many of the other couples at the party had. But some viewers were upset that the kiss was in the background and not the center of the scene, which you would expect given that it was the first gay kiss for the show. While I commend Neighbors for how they handled the kiss, which was quite passionate and not awkward like many kisses between two straight actors can be, it’s symptomatic of the overall problem with this storyline. Like Chris and Aiden’s kiss, too much of the action is happening in the background.

George Lucas is bowing out of blockbuster film making, not making any more Star Wars films, and has been chatting about nuking the fridge, too...
If news filtered through of a movie director who made some astounding films in the 70s declaring that they were hanging up their megaphone, then you’d suspect they might get a sympathetic hearing, and a degree of appreciation for their work.
It'll be interesting to see what happens in the case of George Lucas,
In a new interview with the New York Times, ahead of the Us release of his next project, Red Tails, George Lucas has said “I’m retiring”. He added that “I’m moving away from the business, from the company, from all this kind of stuff”.
Appreciating that the Star Wars prequel trilogy has left a bit of a sour taste, as has the continual tinkering with the films themselves,...

Here we see George Lucas, on the set of 1983's "Return of the Jedi" inspecting one of the film's Ewoks and probably saying something along the lines of "These puppets stink. Can't wait until I can make them digitally blink."
That's right "Star Wars" purists: your sacred text is being futzed with once again by its creator. Gird thy outrage, nerds! As Badass Digest first noted and Moviefone confirmed, Lucasfilm has made some minor (but apparently hugely important) changes to the original "Star Wars" trilogy for their Blu-ray release on September 16. The Ewoks now blink. Darth Vader now bellows a "Nooooo!" to echo his similar howl at the end of "Revenge of the Sith." And Obi-Wan now makes a different noise or something in one scene of "Star Wars." And it's a huge deal.
Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. That's not just a truism of life,...

Plus, Sophia predicts the end of the series and hints at a possible TV movie.
It’s been the question on every One Tree Hill fan’s mind since last May’s season finale: Will Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and/or Peyton (Hilarie Burton) come back to Tree Hill for Brooke (Sophia Bush) and Julian’s (Austin Nichols) wedding? The big day is just a few episodes away, so we went straight to Sophia for the answer — and it’s looking grim. ”We’ve shot the wedding,” Sophia told HollywoodLife.com on Dec. 6 at Global Green USA’s 11th annual Sustainable Design Awards in NYC. “We really wanted Chad and Hilarie to come back. You know, Peyton is Brooke’s best friend! They both had scheduling conflicts.”
And don’t think for a second the cast wouldn’t welcome back “Leyton” with open arms.

Update: It’s been brought to my attention that this is probably Brooke’s dream (and I apparently need medication) but let’s get excited anyway!
Lucas, Felix, Nathan, Chase, Owen, Nick Lachey… I feel like we’ve suffered through Brooke Davis’ (Sophia Bush) crash-and-burn relationships along with her over the past seven years. But Brooke is about to finally get her happy ending as she and Julian (Austin Nichols) tie the the knot in a wedding so sappy they’ll need to serve pancakes at the reception. The Nov. 30 episode features (what I now believe to be) Brooke’s vision of her wedding day. Watch the brief (yet mind-blowing) teaser clip, then head to the comments section to sound off: What major curveball do You hope to see on Brooke and Julian’s eventual wedding day?
Will Psycho Katie make it a real shotgun wedding?...
