With In Memory Of, director Eric Stanze and his crew at Wicked Pixel Cinema have delivered another nightmarish piece of low-budget psychological weirdness that is highly recommended. Jackie Kelly stars as Amber, a twenty-ish woman recently diagnosed as the youngest victim of an unusual neurological ailment, one which causes hallucinations and other mental issues. It’s a disease that may have killed her mother and in flashbacks it’s revealed that she was raised by her Aunt and was in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend Darren (Adam Ahlbrandt), who cheated on her with a woman named Jennifer (Haley Madison) and forced her into prostitution. But Amber is an unreliable narrator, which becomes more apparent as the story unfolds and her past is revisited. She travels to a grungy bunker to take part in a group study for a potential treatment for her disease. After she wakes up and finds...

With the anticipated horror Death House being released in cinemas on February 23rd 2018, I got a chance to speak with actress Genoveva Rossi about her experience working on the movie, her short film Attack of the Chickens and bringing her experience as a psychic and tarot card reader to the screen.
How did you first get into acting?
I was always interested in acting since childhood. My first play was nursey school and I was always playing dress up with friends. Then I did some plays in high school then short films in college. Then my first horror films began the end of 2011; Jack ‘O’ Slasher and I Spill Yours Guts.
You have had a quite an impact on the horror scene in a relatively short time. Are, you surprise at how quickly you have gained recognition within the horror community?
I feel more blessed than surprised. I do believe...

Know who's really killing indie filmmakers? Other wannabe indie filmmakers. Since making a movie has become so easy and Diy, the market has been flooded with trash by people who have no business even owning a camera. This makes finding the promising indie films an absolute chore.
Still, we wade through the film mire, and when something captures our eyes, we bring it to your attention. Take Adam Ahlbrandt's Hunters for example. Test screenings of the film have resulted in a 50 percent walkout ratio, and apparently one man had a panic attack following his viewing.
It is set to be released by ToeTag Films in the Us and Illusions Unlimited in Germany later this year.
The flick stars Linnea Quigley, J.D. Brown, Kacie Marie, Tina Krause, Haley Madison, Jason Vail, Mel Heflin, Shaun Paul Costello, Tiffany Carroll, Victor Bonacore, Jadie Goodpasture, and Genoveva Rossi. Ahlbrandt directs from a script he wrote.

The Adam Ahlbrandt directed double feature Cross Bearer and The Cemetery has been making the rounds at Cannes, and we have more details on both, including artwork, trailers, and a few stills.
The films were picked up for German speaking territories by Illusions Unlimited, an Austrian Uncut Distribution Company. CEO Emsch Schneider said, "These movies are very cool and gory. Cross Bearer is a back-to-the-roots slasher, and The Cemetery is a gory and violent flick with amazing practical effects. We're honored to release these brutal movies Uncut in German speaking territories." We should hear more about a North American release and other territories shortly.
In The Cemetery (official site here) a team of paranormal investigators must fight for their lives after accidentally releasing a demon from a forgotten cemetery. Alternately gut-punching hilarious and brutally violent, The Cemetery takes the best elements of the old-school slasher film and pushes them to the edge.

This will screen on the 13th at 8:00 p.m. and will be preceded by a Q&A with the always entertaining Kaufman himself.

Adam Ahlbrandt (Sight) is the creator behind the indie horror flick The Burnt House. The first trailer shows characters in dark lighting, with ominous flashes of crazed creatures. The clip is nightmarish and foreboding, but what about the quality of the picture? The online horror magazine Fear.net describes The Burnt House as being "a poetic nightmare." A strong statement from a strong horror supporter. A release date is set for July 6th and from the synopsis there seems to be a lot of conflicting sub-plots to keep the picture entertaining. Have a look at the trailer below and decide if The Burnt House is worth a viewing.
A synopsis for The Burnt House here:
"This is the story of Megan and Joe, a couple who have recently experienced the death of their infant son to Sids. The tragedy has spawned a rift between the two and driven Megan into a secret affair.

Fango got the first word from director/cinematographer Adam Ahlbrandt and producer/FX creator Doug Sakmann about their upcoming feature Children Of Torture. The movie is currently in preproduction, and seeking additional financing for a start date this fall.
Having previously helmed the supernatural features Sight and The Burnt House (on which Sakmann served as a co-producer), Ahlbrandt decided to delve into hardcore horror with this project. “It’s my way of going back to the basics,” he says. “I just wanted to write something that I knew would grab people by the neck and beat their faces into hamburger-like pulp. I felt the need to base this movie more in reality than my previous films; I feel that sometimes it’s scarier to have the knowledge that the things you’re watching have happened and could happen to you. This one's for you, low-budget horror movies… you can be whatever you want! You want to be a schlocky blood-spurter of a flick? Go ahead! You want to be a shoddy and amateurish mess? Why not? You want to be a quiet, intense little monster? Yeah, you can be that too. The Burnt House, without the push and pull of a major studio, chooses the third option and builds itself into a poetic nightmare. It's a slow churn to the end, and may not be for every horror fan, but if you've got the patience this is one cool flick. The Burnt House is the low-budget creation of Adam Ahlbrandt, who also wrote and directed the indie horror flick Sight. The story follows Megan...
