Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel is a movie star. "The Marvels" has been cited as another sign of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's fall from dominance, but everyone loves young actor Iman Vellani as this spunky heroine. /Film even named Kamala the best movie hero of 2023 and proclaimed her the future of the MCU.
Of course, Kamala comes from Marvel Comics and was co-created by G. Willow Wilson, Sana Amanat, Stephen Wacker, Adrian Alphona, and Jamie McKelvie. The comics made a bizarre move of synergy in 2023; between Kamala's Disney+ show "Ms. Marvel" and the theatrical run of "The Marvels," she heroically dies in "Amazing Spider-Man" #26 (by Zeb Wells and John Romita Jr.), published in May 2023.
Wells' "Amazing Spider-Man" isn't exactly a fan-favorite (the stink of breaking up Peter and Mj has carried across his run) and this was a low point. It was the cheapest of cheap melodrama and Kamala perished while pulling guest star duty.

With the first two epic episodes of Ms. Marvel now streaming on Disney+ and the next ready to drop, we thought we would deliver even more scoop on this very special show.
Marvel Studios’ Ms. Marvel is a new, original series introducing Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero megafan with an oversized imagination— particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. There’s no rest for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Just one month after the conclusion of the Oscar Isaac-led “Moon Knight” and a month before “Thor: Love and Thunder” is slated to hit theaters, the newest series in the interconnected franchise is set to make its Disney+ debut.
Premiering Wednesday, June 8, “Ms. Marvel” stars newcomer Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American teen from Jersey City who lives and breathes everything Avengers. A megafan of Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) who spends what some might say is too much time in a fantasy world of her own creation, Kamala, the MCU’s first Muslim superhero, sees her life changed forever once she discovers she has powers of her own. This shocking discovery, of which only her best friend Bruno (Matt Lintz) is aware, thrusts Kamala into a spotlight she’s not quite ready for, especially since she’s already living...

With “Moon Knight” all wrapped up last week, the next big Marvel Studios show on the horizon will be “Ms. Marvel” which comes from head writer Bisha K. Ali and is an adaptation of the 2014 comics by G. Willow Wilson and Adrian Alphona.
Many fans have noticed in promotional images and in footage that Iman Vellani’s MCU version of Kamala Khan doesn’t have her traditional stretchy abilities from the comics, instead replaced with some energy-based power, which many liken her to “Green Lantern,” an iconic DC Comics superhero that gets his energy-based abilities from a cosmic ring.

Laurel Marsden, who starred in Quibi’s Survive, will play Zoe Zimmer in Disney+’s upcoming Marvel series Ms. Marvel, Deadline has confirmed. The series follows teenage hero Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani).

The character made her debut in 2014’s Ms. Marvel No. 3 from scribe G. Willow Wilson and artist Adrian Alphona.
Bisha K. Ali is head writer on the series. Bad Boys for Life filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah direct along with two-time Oscar doc short winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and The Walking Dead director Meera Menon.

To say the Disney Investor Day was a big deal would be an understatement. In addition to announcing multiple new films and projects, Lucasfilm and Marvel offered up confirmations and announcements for the future of their respective franchises. And for Marvel, that included introducing some new superheroes to the mix. Like Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel.
Initially announced at San Diego Comic-Con last year, Kamala will head her own Disney+ series that will follow her adventures as Marvel’s first Pakistani-American superhero. Kevin Feige confirmed that newcomer Iman Vellani will play the titular superhero, who since making her comics debut in 2014, has become one of Marvel’s most beloved characters.
But some of you might still be asking who Kamala is and, more importantly, why her story is one that Marvel wants to spotlight. Since nothing is announced accidentally, we know that whoever is joining the McU will be important to its future.

With the announced Ms. Marvel TV series for Disney+, Disney is looking to the next generation of superpowered crimefighters to keep the Marvel good times rolling. And with its choice for who will play the titular role, Disney is looking to the next generation of actors as well.
According to Deadline, Marvel has tapped newcomer Iman Vellani to portray Kamala Khan a.k.a. Ms. Marvel in its upcoming Ms. Marvel series. How much of a newcomer is Vellani? As of press time, she doesn’t even have an IMDb page. Deadline notes, however, that Vellnai was the part of the Next Wave Committee at the 2019 Toronto Film Festival where she was tasked with identifying films that would resonate with her peers. The choice of Vellani comes after a reportedly long and exhaustive search for young actresses who would best fit the role.

Marvel’s Avengers, the new superhero action game from Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics and publisher Square Enix, sees the return of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to modern platforms. But while the new adventure might let gamers and fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe alike take control of the team as seen in the movies, there’s one character who’s captivated players above all others. I’m of course talking about young Kamala Khan, the Avengers superfan who becomes an inspiring superhero in her own right.
While the game opens with the Avengers at the height of their powers and popularity, it’s really young Kamala (voiced beautifully by Sandra Saad), destined to become the superhero Ms. Marvel, who is at the center of this story. The upcoming third season of Marvel’s Runaways will be its last. The 10-episode third season of the Hulu series premieres Dec. 13.
Marvel’s Runaways fans should not be alarmed that the drama would end abruptly with no closure — the story is said to come to a natural ending point at the end of Season 3.
In Season 3, the Runaways frantically search for their captured friends Chase, Gert, and Karolina. The kids go head-to-head with an unstoppable enemy who has targeted Leslie — or more accurately, the child she’s carrying. Nico draws them all into a dark realm where its ruler, Morgan le Fay, played by Elizabeth Hurley, is much more nefarious than anyone the kids have yet to face. The person most responsible for the creation of the Kamala Khan version of Ms. Marvel is worried that the upcoming live-action “Ms. Marvel” on Disney+ is going to have a hard time depicting her super-powered abilities.
“I think there’re some characters who are very much set up for the big screen; they’re very naturally sort of cinematic. But with Ms. Marvel, we really weren’t interested in creating something that had very obvious film potential,” writer G. Willow Wilson told Polygon. “She’s got very comic booky powers. God bless them trying to bring that to live-action. I don’t know how that’s going to work out in a way that doesn’t look really creepy.”

Kamala Khan will become part of the McU with a Ms. Marvel TV series on Disney+. She's a perfect fit for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
A Ms. Marvel TV series is coming to streaming service Disney+, based on the Hugo-award winning and critically acclaimed comic book series of the same name. The first Muslim superhero to headline her own series for Marvel, Ms. Marvel has already made it to the small screen as part of the Marvel Rising animated series, but this will be her first foray into live action.
Created by writer G. Willow Wilson, editors Sana Amanat and Stephen Wacker, and artists Adrian Alphona and Jamie McKelvie, Ms. Marvel is Kamala Khan, a nerdy Muslim Pakistani-American teenager living in Jersey City who gained powers after coming into contact with Terrigen Mist. Descended from Inhumans, the mist unlocked her ability to shapeshift, like Daisy/Quake on Agents of Shield.

Hulu has revealed the premiere dates for new original series “Dollface” and “Reprisal,” as well as for Season 3 of “Marvel’s Runaways.”
“Dollface,” which stars Kat Dennings, will drop all 10 episodes on Friday, Nov. 15, the streaming service said Friday at the Television Critics Association press tour.
Dennings will play Jules, a young woman who — after being dumped by her longtime boyfriend — must deal with her own imagination in order to literally and metaphorically re-enter the world of women, and rekindle the female friendships she left behind. “Dollface” also stars Brenda Song, Shay Mitchell and Esther Povitsky.
The series was created by Jordan Weiss, who serves as an executive producer alongside showrunner Ira Ungerleider, Dennings, Margot Robbie, Brett Hedblom, Tom Ackerley, Bryan Unkeless, Scott Morgan, Nicole King and Stephanie Laing. Matt Spicer will executive produce and direct the first episode. “Dollface” is produced by ABC Signature Studios, part of Disney Television Studios.

Packing plentiful heroes and villains, here's the full list of characters in Marvel's Avengers game
Due to be published by Square Enix next year, Marvel's Avengers will allow players to take control of numerous Marvel comic book heroes as they face off against fearsome foes. We don't need us to tell you that the prospect of playing as Earth's Mightiest Heroes is an exciting one.
Avengers, which is being developed by Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal, sounds like the story will have quite a massive scope to it, and so far, a handful of iconic characters have been confirmed to appear. There are sure to be more announced in the coming months, and perhaps there will even be a few surprise appearances that we won't know about until we play the game.
For now, though, here's the full list of heroes and villains you can expect to see in Marvel's Avengers.

After a crazy second season finale we will be able to find out how the Runaways story plays out
The adventure that adding even more twists and left many wondering what some of heroes fate will be will not leave us open ended as its been revealed that the young batch of superheroes in Marvel's Runaways will return for season three on Hulu.
This season will be a little bit shorter than previous ones as this upcoming season will be 10 episodes instead of 13. Now this is not necessarily a bad thing as 10 episodes has become a trend for streaming series across the board. Because it is proving to be the most optimal way for people to binge.
Also a bit of side information Runaways plans to focus more on the kids, so the actors playing parents who were series regulars are being reduced from all shows produced to factual...

The news has just been revealed that Hulu has renewed Marvel’s “Runaways” for a 10-episode third season. Given the cliff-hanger ending of season two, we are certainly thrilled to learn that we will be getting some more from this series. The battle between the teen Runaways and the Pride has come to a head, but some seriously terrifying new threats are lurking about in the shadows.
It has also been rumored that season three will focus more primarily on the teen cast rather than the adults who portray their parents, as they may only be featured in about 7 of the 10 new episodes.

James Marsters let the news slip this weekend — Hulu has renewed Marvel’s Runaways for a third season. Here is more information.
Season 3 of the series, from showrunners/writers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, Marvel TV and ABC Signature, will consist of 10 episodes, down from the 13-episode second season and on par with the episode count in Season 1. That has been a trend for streaming series across the board as 10 has proven optimal for binging.

The cast of Runaways is eager for more action, and it sounds like they'll be living it in Season 2.
It wasn’t until the very end of Runaways Season 1 that Alex Wilder (Rhenzy Feliz), Nico Minoru (Lyrica Okano), Karolina Dean (Virginia Gardner), Gert Yorkes (Ariela Barer), Chase Stein (Gregg Sulkin) and Molly Hernandez (Allegra Acosta) made good on the show's title.
Before that pivotal moment, when these disparate teenagers discovered that their villainous parents had framed them for murder, series co-creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage had spent most of the season’s time laying the groundwork for the group’s eventual escape. It’s a common method showrunners will use to adapt comic books for television (see the first season of AMC’s Preacher), and while it may tax the patience of some viewers, it often pays off in the long run.
Hence Runaways Season 2, which premieres Friday,...

I don’t know if superhero conflicts are required to be based on the stupidest possible interpretation of premises, but it certainly seems that way. Subtlety or nuance don’t exist in superhero universes; in a world where people can punch each other through brick walls, that’s the only way to do anything.
Ms.Marvel Vol. 6: Civil War II is another piece of crossover, which means it’s substantially stupider than a standalone Ms. Marvel story. I’m not claiming they’re brain-teasers in the best of situations, but they generally consist of believable characters doing understandable things for plausible reasons.
Before I go on to talk about the story, here’s who brought it to us: writer G. Willow Wilson continues as usual, with original series artist Adrian Alphona taking the first issue and flashback scenes in the next four, Takeshi Miyazawa doing the non-flashbacks for those issues,...

Marvel’s Runaways is making a run from Hulu to Freeform. The angsty teenage comic series is set to make its broadcast bow with its first season episode after the season finale of Cloak and Dagger on Aug. 2, Deadline has confirmed.
The debut of Runaways on Freeform marks the second Marvel show on the Disney-ABC owned network, the first being the aforementioned Cloak and Dagger. The airing of the first episode Runaways is part of Freeform’s ongoing marketing partnership with Hulu. No word yet on whether additional episodes will air on the network.
The news comes shortly after Disney and 21st Century Fox shareholders overwhelmingly approved the merger between the companies first proposed last December. The merger also includes Disney’s acquisition of Fox’s 30% stake in Hulu. Freeform is owned by the Disney–ABC Television Group, which is a division of The Walt Disney Company.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige says that the studio has plans for a Ms. Marvel movie after Captain Marvel has been introduced to the world.
“Ms. Marvel, which is another character in the comic books, the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel, is definitely sort of in the works,” he told BBC.
“We have plans for that once we’ve introduced Captain Marvel to the world,” he added.
Ms. Marvel was created by writer G. Willow Wilson, artist Adrian Alphona and editors Sana Amanat and Stephen Wacker and made her comic book series debut in February 2014. Kamala Khan is a 16-year-old Pakistani-American from New Jersey, and she became Marvel Comics’ first Muslim character to headline her own comic book.

As we all know, Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) will make her big screen debut in 2019 – following a brief tease at the end of Avengers: Infinity War – but what about the character who adopted her old mantle of Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan?
The teenage Inhuman has become a fairly popular hero since her introduction back in 2013, and the fact that she also happens to be a Muslim Pakistani American has led to many fans calling for a live-action adaptation sooner rather than later, given the current climate.
In the past few years, there’s been a lot in the way of rumors and speculation pointing to the character getting her own vehicle, but so far, nothing’s materialized. That could be about to change, though.

Hulu has released the first full trailer for their upcoming Marvel series Runaways and I actually like what I'm seeing from! It looks like it could be a great series. The new trailer is packed full of new footage that offers us more insight into the story and the characters. The trailer shows us what the villainous Pride parents will be engaged in and it teases the powers of their kids.
It shows Molly (Allegra Acosta) summon her super strength, Karolina (Virginia Gardner) chaging into her Majesdanian form, Chase (Gregg Sulkin) in action with his fistigons, and Nico (Lyrica Okano) summoning the Staff of One. It's also fun to see Buffy The Vampire Slayer's Spike actor James Marsters in the trailer.
