A re-adaptation of Stephen King's "It" has been in the works for years. Just recently, it was reported that director Cary Fukunaga (Jane Eyre, "True Detective") dropped out. It was immediately believed that the project was dead, but New Line is now looking for his replacement. Fukunaga wasn't the first director attached to "It." In fact, before him, "Splice" helmer Vincenzo Natali was considered and even had a chance to pitch his own version of the horror story. Now that Natali is no longer attached, he decided to unveil some of the concept art of what he envisioned the clown to look like. The less professional artwork was done by him, while the others were done by artist Amro Attia. Check everything out below. Concept Art: (click to enlarge)...

We recently found out that director Cary Fukunaga had left New Line's planned remake (well, re-adaptation) of Stephen King's It, but apparently all is not lost as the studio is currently searching for a replacement. As it turns out, Vincenzo Natali pitched an idea for his own take on the horror tale at one point, and you can see some Pennywise concept art from the director (apparently he's responsible for the “not so good” drawings) and artist Amro Attia below. If the clown looks half as terrifying as this in the new movie people might well run from the theater. The last one, in particular, is the stuff of nightmares.

Cube and Splice director Vincenzo Natali (whos recently kicked up a twitter account in which hes having a feild day with) just revealed that he had at one point in time pitched his own adaptation of It. Furthermore he seems to have a really really dark vision of the film as evidenced by the brand new concept art hes been unleashing on the masses. Natali and artist Amro Attia handle these early ideas of a new look for Pennywise and theyre as chilling as they come.

It seems it's harder than we thought to make another version of It, the classic horror film based on the beloved Stephen King novel. In the wake of True Detective's Cary Fukunaga vacating the director's chair on New Line's remake, thereby sticking it on the backburner indefinitely, some new concept art for another failed remake has hit the airwaves. Take a look at how concept artist Amro Attia would've envisioned the killer clown. Vincenzo Natali (@Vincenzo_Natali) June 1, 2015 Vincenzo Natali directed Splice, "U for Utopia" in the second ABCs of Death, and seven episodes of Hannibal, and apparently he was also working on a remake of It. Based on a tweet he posted yesterday, he had a hand in creating some concept art with Attia, his...

On the website of GFMFilms, which is involved in Vincenzo Natali‘s adaptation of Neuromancer, you’ll find a page dedicated to the film. There, you can see a single news update on the film, and two pieces of concept art design work.
The news line goes like this:
21/6/2012 – Pay or Play offers have been made to Liam Neeson for Armitage and Mark Wahlberg for Case.
This kinda confirms the story of a week or so ago, and here are the images:
This is work by Amro Attia, a designer who has worked with Natali before, contributing to the design of the creatures in Splice (remember that creepy hermaphrodite and the movie’s message regarding genetics/playing gods?).
I assume there’s a good chance that Attia was off of the project before last December, though it is possible he shared the images while still working on the film. Stranger...
