South Park threw its hat into the Donald Trump slam-fest ring Wednesday, reimagining a world where a "brash asshole" managed to get himself elected president of Canada.
The episode finds Mr. Garrison leading a crusade against illegal Canadian immigrants, a plot partly introduced when Butters meets his new girlfriend's Canuck family. The hilariously awkward scene finds Charlotte's father interrogating Butters about his "Maple fever" and eventually explaining why the family, and others, have reluctantly moved south of the border.
"There were several candidates during the Canadian elections," he says with increasing melodrama.

Whether it's a spontaneous bit of dancing or a more choreographed number, movie history is full of great dance moments. And as it happens, the internet is full of supercuts, but the above video and the sequel that followed rises above some of the rest, thanks in large part to great editing, as it looks like the creator really took the time to fit the dance clips together so they line up with the song. Set to Men Without Hats' "Safety Dance," "We Can Dance - Hollywood Movie Dance Tribute" links Road Trip, It's a Wonderful Life, Grease, Mean Girls, Dirty Dancing, Silver Linings Playbook, 500 Days of Summer and quite a few other great movies together through dancing. And it all ends up with the Beetlejuice scene. Beyond the editing, what I really like about Robert Jones' video is that he works some more obscure dance moments into it.

Take Me Home Tonight **
Stars: Topher Grace, Dan Fogler, Anna Faris, Teresa Palmer | Written by Jackie and Jeff Filgo | Directed by Michael Dowse
John Hughes made some of the best teen movies of the 80s. His work is often imitated but rarely equalled (although credit must go to the recent Easy A for being a film worthy of its roots). And so we come to Take Me Home Tonight, a teen movie set in the 80s which seems to have all the trappings of Hughes’ oeuvre but without any of his sharply observed wit or humour.
Aimless MIT graduate Matt Franklin, instead of getting a job in engineering like his dad wants, now works in his local video store. He’s still obsessed with his high school sweetheart Tori (Palmer) and so his heart leaps when she’s seen browsing the racks. Desperate not to seem like a loser, he...

Now that Perez Hilton has confirmed that Lady Gaga will release her '80s throwback tune "Edge of Glory" as a radio single from Born This Way, we're just wondering what in the world Gaga might do for the video.
She's already created a new race for "Born This Way" and re-envisioned the Bible in "Judas," so what can Gaga have up her sleeve next?
Considering that the tune borrows heavily from cheesy pop music of that decade (and we mean that in a nice way!), we hope Gaga embraces it and just makes a full-on '80s-style video. Here are some suggestions:
First off, A-ha's "Take On Me." Partly animated, this classic '80s clip feels perfect for Gaga to put her own stamp on. Plus, we even have a suggestion for the love interest: Why not get Clarence Clemons, who plays sax on the song, to play the part?...

Those of us who grew up watching the after-school cartoons of the 1980s are very protective of them. While our parents were out clubbing to Men Without Hats or spending late-nights at coke parties on Wall Street, we were being raised by Megatron, Snake Eyes, and Lion-o.
There's a certain magic to old 'toons like Voltron, The Transformers, G.I. Joe, and ThunderCats that hasn't been replicated in the past few decades. That's not going to stop people from trying, though. Cartoon Network has just unveiled the trailer for its reboot of ThunderCats, and it looks as though the series has been updated with an anime flavor.

The Take Me Home Tonight soundtrack. Ooh, it was like The Scarlet Pimpernel. Sort of. This ’80s-set ensemble comedy for ‘young people’ was shot back in 2007 before being left to languish on the shelf, then saved from the guillotine of no-release oblivion by Ryan Kavanaugh, the masked baronet of Relativity Media. Hurrah! A pity though that Eddie Money doesn’t seem to have survived the ordeal. His 1986 hit which gives the movie its title is conspicuously absent from this soundtrack, despite having cropped up in the trailer.
Not that there is any shortage of ’80s radio monsters here. This is a paean to pop music’s past, an extended celebration of those hook-laden hits which detractors would rush to peg as lowest common denominator, but which equally can deliver high levels of idiot-grin enjoyment for those willing to check their musical ego at the door. An obvious comparison is to...

Even though it has taken a few years to get into theaters, "Take Me Home Tonight" doesn't carry the stink of shelved film, but instead looks like a funny, foul R-rated comedy, and with the setting of the film firmly in the 1980s it naturally has the soundtrack to match. Spanning eighteen tracks, "Take Me Home Tonight" is essentially a really solid 1980s mix and it delivers in spades with tracks by Duran Duran, Mötley Crüe, Wang Chung, Dexys Midnight Runners, Men Without Hats, Kim Carnes and of course, N.W.A. who fuel the very funny red-band trailer. However, curiously missing…...

I don’t know what it is or why it exists, but I’m extremely happy that it does. The teaser trailer for the upcoming feature “Captain Happy Sun” is one seriously demented slice of digital celluloid, something akin to the stuff one might see if Aphex Twin and high-grade synthetic hallucinogens were consumed at the exact same time. Everyone already knows that I like my movies with a hefty dose of the bizarre, and “Captain Happy Sun” seems ready and able to deliver everything I require for an evening’s worth of quality audio/visual entertainment. Plus, the clip incorporates “The Safety Dance” by Men Without Hats very nicely, as well. Not too many motion pictures can lay claim to that. Before watching the teaser, read the synopsis: Christopher Johnson (Nicholas Taglieri) is a sorry excuse for a human who is belittled and pushed around in every aspect of his life.

A few months ago — back when he was still the reigning "American Idol" runner-up — Adam Lambert told MTV News about the meaning of his latest single, "If I Had You," the video for which has just premiered on VH1.com.
"Basically, what it's saying is no matter what color your skin is, no matter what religion you are, no matter what your sexuality is ... we can all party together," he said. "And all this other stuff — money, success, fortune, fashion, glam — it's all great, but it doesn't mean anything if you're not connecting."

Tonight's "Glee" episode, directed by Joss Whedon, was called "Dream On" -- and dream they did. Every week, there's a performance on "Glee" that stands out from the bunch. Tonight, that honor went to Artie (Kevin McHale) and his flash-mob style "Safety Dance" daydream sequence.
Artie has been confined to a wheelchair for years following a spinal cord injury, but when Bryan Ryan (Neil Patrick Harris) asks him to write down his greatest dream, Artie scrawls "dancer." Aaaand, our hearts broke.
Kevin McHale, on the other hand, does not have any problems whatsoever moving his dancing feet. (His portrayal of Artie is so realistic that even Oprah was surprised to learn that he can walk.) In Artie's dream sequence, he got up in the middle of the mall and led a flash mob in "Safety Dance," originally by '80s one-hit-wonder Men WIthout Hats.

The May 14 "Glee" episode was highly anticipated for two reasons in particular: Neil Patrick Harris and Joss Whedon. Titled "Dream On," the episode had a rather heavy-handed dream theme. Artie, Rachel, and Nph's character Bryan Ryan all reached for the stars -- or at least for the community theater -- and the songs, as always, contributed to the motif of the night.
Bryan Ryan is one of Mr. Schuester's (Matt Morrison) high school Glee Club rivals, now a member of the school board who is out to cut the funding for New Directions after an attempt at showbiz left him jaded. One drunken night at the bar, Schue coaxes Bryan into a rousing rendition of "Piano Man" by Billy Joel - but the faux camaraderie doesn't last long when they have a sing-off of Aerosmith's "Dream On" at an audition for "Les Miserables." Ultimately, Mr. Schue gets the role...

I've been very excited about this week's episode because, well, of Hot 100 winner Neil Patrick Harris. Need I say more? If he wasn't married to the equally gorgeous and talented David Burtka, I'd say I wanted to make babies with him.
As it is, I don't want to be disrespectful of their relationship, so I'll just say I want to have a threesome with them. Too much?
As for Glee, I was hopeful that the show would put him to good use, but based on past experience ... needless to say, I was a bit nervous.
Upping the ante even more, this episode was directed by Joss Whedon of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog fame. High hopes indeed. Did the show live up to my dreams? Or will the Gleeks come storming after me in the comments? Read on to find out!

So Just Where Do You Draw The Line?
Here is an interesting question for you: as gay people where do we draw the line when it comes to spending our hard earned dollars on movies, books, plays and or music that in some way might benefit a person or business who doesn't have our best interests at heart?
Eminem, Mel Gibson
This is a question most of us face at some point whether it's deciding if you want to download that new Eminem song that is so great despite his past comments about gay people. Or whether you should shell out ten bucks to see that new Mel Gibson flick your brother wants to see even though Gibson supports the far right wing of the Catholic Church, not to mention the awful and historically inaccurate portrayal of Edward II he gave us in Braveheart, as well as the ugly murder...

The Hot Tub Time Machine soundtrack. That mere title alone is so communicative of both the tone and ambition of this new John Cusack-toplined comedy that the simple sight of those four little words is all you need in order to make the call as to whether you want to see the movie or whether you think it likely to be as seismic a catastrophe for modern cinema as Michael Haneke slipping while getting out of the shower and fatally cracking his skull on the Palme d’Or he keeps on the shelf behind the toilet. Essentially it would appear that Steve Pink’s film is the episode of Family Guy where Peter and Brian journey back to the ‘80s and piss off the chicken while simultaneously inventing Rick Astley, only elongated to feature length and with Chevy Chase’s hot tub repairman supplanting the Grim Reaper as gatekeeper...

Well as it turns out it was indeed a real movie, and this weekend the hilarious film finally makes its debut in AMC Theatres everywhere.

Picking up where "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "Take on Me" left off, there's a new "literal music video" poised to go viral: Men Without Hats' "The Safety Dance." For those unfamiliar with literal music videos, the idea is to take a classic (and preferably nonsensical) music video from the '80s or '90s, and then redub the lyrics with lines that actually reference what's happening in the video. So, without further ado, the literal version of the 1982 one-hit wonder, "The Safety Dance" (warning: video contains Nsfw lyrics). PopWatchers, what other literal music videos rocked your world?...
