In the "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" episode "Under the Cloak of War", a Klingon ambassador named Dak'Rah (Robert Wisdom) comes to visit the U.S.S. Enterprise on a diplomatic mission. "Strange New Worlds" takes place immediately after the Klingon War, and several of the ship's crew remember the conflict vividly, expressing prejudice and consternation to see a Klingon on board. Captain Pike (Anson Mount) reminds his officers to keep an open mind, but Dr. M'Benga (Babs Olusanmokun) cannot.
Through flashbacks, audiences learn the horrible wartime conditions that both Dr. M'Benga and Nurse Chapel (Jess Bush) served under, and they were bleak. There weren't enough medical supplies to go around, and Dr. M'Benga had taken to storing injured soldiers inside a transporter pattern buffer, hoping to rematerialize them when more could be done. He also secretly develops a rare and dangerous steroid called Protocol 12 which temporarily increases strength and...

The lack of Latino showrunners in Hollywood is being addressed by the Alliance of Latinx Executives and Rise Up who are partnering on an advocacy program that will pair 10 high-level executives with 10 high-level writers from the community to increase showrunner opportunities.
Of the 500+ shows in production during the 2021-22 television season, and the approximately 6K writers employed by those shows, less than 20 Latinx writers held the position of showrunner. It’s the second-most challenging roadblock for Latinx writers after breaking out of the entry-level staff writer position, according to the orgs.
The inaugural group of executives includes Joey Chavez (HBO Max), Tom Lerner (A+E Studios), Adam Martinez (CBS Studios), Alejandro Melendez (BBC Studios), Michelle Mendelovitz (Mattel Television Studios), Edy Mendoza (Netflix), Diana Mogollon (Independent) and Nina Tassler (Independent).

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Episode 4
If there’s one thing Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is trying to make clear, it’s that hanging out in the Star Trek universe isn’t safe. While The Next Generation and Voyager may have had the reputation for looking and feeling a little too cozy, Strange New Worlds continues the grittier vibe from Discovery, which also references the rough-and-tumble nature of The Original Series.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds episode 4, “Memento Mori,” is its darkest episode yet, with a ton of nods to The Original Series, the classic films, and an interesting sideways nod to Lower Decks. Here’s every Easter egg and reference we caught while the Enterprise faced off with the Gorn for the first time…

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched “Gimme Shelter,” the 15th episode of “Supernatural’s” final season.
With only a handful of episodes left before The CW’s long-running demon-hunting drama “Supernatural” signs off for good, every line of dialogue, every frame of footage and every decision — from guest star casting to guest director hiring — counts. Matt Cohen, who got his start on the show playing young John Winchester in 2008, admits he was certainly feeling the weight of that responsibility when he stepped on set to direct “Gimme Shelter,” the 15th episode of the final season.
“There was all the pressure, but I just wanted to do the homework and I tried to do the homework as much as possible,” Cohen tells Variety. “I wanted to give the audience enough to satisfy them a little bit, but also enough to dissatisfy them so they come back next week.

Star Trek fans have been clamoring for more Captain Pike (Anson Mount), Spock (Ethan Peck), and Number One (Rebecca Romijn) ever since their Original Series characters were reintroduced to the Trek world in the second season of Star Trek: Discovery. While that last show has struggled somewhat to find its voice amidst the cacophony of TV content out there right now, the Enterprise trio has clicked from day one. Hopefully, that kind of tonal focus will continue now that the beloved characters are getting their very own TV series.
CBS All-Access announced today that they have ordered Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, a story featuring Pike, Spock, and Number One to series. Check out the announcement video featuring Mount, Peck, and Romijn…

In its ever-expanding goal to be Star Trek all year round, CBS All Access has now picked up the Spock, Captain Pike and Number One starring Star Trek: Strange New Worlds to series.
With a title lifted in part from James T. Kirk’s beloved introduction to the original mother show, the third full live action show in the Alex Kurtzman-pioneered Trekverse after Star Trek Discovery and Star Trek Picard will feature Ethan Peck, Anson Mount and Rebecca Romijn reprising their respective roles from Season 2 of the Sonequa Martin-Green-led Discovery.
Official confirmation of the long-rumored show would normally be perfect for either a network Upfronts or San Diego Comic Con, but neither of those are happening this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Then again, that didn’t stop the trio of leads from sending fans greetings of the new show today via video:

Hey, "Supernatural" fans. Unfortunately, we have some very bad news for you guys in this article. That means the next, new episode 4 of this current season 15 is officially delayed this week. The good news is it will only be delayed for one week. We've seen these delays go much longer than that in the past. Instead, the CW plans to air the new episode 4 next Thursday night, November 7, 2019 at approximately 7 pm central standard time. So, be sure to mark that very important date down on your TV show calendars. So, some of you might be asking yourselves, what is the CW airing instead of Supernatural tonight? Well, according to the TV Guide listings, the CW will be airing a special called, "The 13 Scariest Movies Of All Time" in the 7 pm central time slot that Supernatural usually occupies.
