Hawkins plays Toledo in the August Wilson play with music. Also in the cast are Rev. David W. Brown, Carthy Dixon, Tony Ruffin, Justin Farley and Elaine Hall as Ma Rainey. Directed by ISU alumni Kathryn Ervin. The show runs until March 3, 2007.
- (April 27, 2013) Stage: By the Way, Meet Vera Stark, the Albert Theatre at the Goodman, Chicago. Hawkins understudies the roles of Leroy Barksdale and Herb Forrester in the Lynn Nottage comedy. Cast includes Taron Patton, Amelia Workman, Kara Zediker, Chike Johnson, Ron E. Rains, Patrick Clear and LaNisa Renee Frederick as Vera Stark. Directed by Charles 'Chuck' Smith. The show closes June 2, 2013.
- (September 22, 2012) Stage: HooDoo Love, Collective Theatre Company at the Athenaeum Theatre, Chicago. Hawkins begins previews as Ace of Spades in the Katori Hall drama with music. Also in the cast are Sheilynn Wactor, Mark Spates Smith, Toni Lynice Fountain and Opal Staples. Directed by Nelsan Ellis. The show opens September 25th and runs until October 21. 2012.
- (April 14, 2010) Stage: Macbeth, the Westhoff Theatre at Illinois State University. Hawkins plays Macduff in the William Shakespeare classic. Other cast members include Brynne Barnard, [error], Ken Mooney, Clayton Joyner and Josh Innerst as Macbeth. Directed by Jon Ferreira. The show closes April 18, 2010.
- (October 7, 2010) Stage: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, at the Illinois State University Center for the Performing Arts. Hawkins as Mitch Mahoney in the Rachel Sheinkin and William Finn musical comedy. Cristen Susong, Andy Hudson, Abby Vombrack, Justin Treizenberg, Danny Brooks, Latrecia Moffet, Clayton Jones and Jared Mason round out the cast. Hawkins leads the company in the first act closing song "Prayer of the Comfort Counselor." Directed by Cyndee Brown. Show closes October 16, 2010.
- (March 26, 2008) Stage: Bury the Dead, Westhoff Theatre at Illinois State University. Hawkins as Private Driscoll in the Irwin Shaw drama. Cast includes Gabriel Swee, Christopher Ciesla, Gerald G. Price, Matt Gorkis and Dave Gonzalez. Directed by Robert Quinlan. The show closes March 30, 2008.
