Manuel Andrés Vázquez Terry was born in 1979 in México city. During his early years Manuel was raised surrounded by music, he began taking guitar lessons at the age of seven with Felipe Souza, a renowned composer and guitar player in México City. For several years he studied with private teachers classical and contemporary guitar. Later at the age of 13 he attended a school named C.A.D.I. in Morelos ,Mexico he devote himself to playing guitar. At 14 he met Guillermo Sánchez Phillips from " La banda elastica" and " El studio guitarrístico López Ramos", that was the time when he began a formal education in classical guitar.
In 1996 Manuel moved back to Mexico City where he decided to form a metal progressive band named Agora with his friend Eduardo Carrillo.
He register at ¨La escuela superior de música (UNAM)", after nine months he gave up: "I've been here for six months and we are not learning anything about harmony or composition , I need more." He studied contemporary harmony, music and composition with private tutors such as Manuel Camarillo( SCAM) , Hector Castañón , Francisco Lelo de Lerrea and Emmanuel Mora , among others. Manuel Vazquez built two paths in his musical career: One as a guitar player, concert guitarist and composer in Agora, and the other as a music producer and composer for TV programs, movies OST , jingles and studio work.
With Agora he has composed, arranged , co-produce and recorded 6 albums: "Segundo Pasado" (2001), "Zona de Silencio" (2005) , "Silencio Acústico" (2008) , "Regresa al vertigo" ( 2011) a live DVD and CD called "Vertigo vivo" (2015) and ¨Imperio ¨ ( 2020). In 2005 "Zona de Silencio" was named by The Rolling Stone as one of the 10 top Latin American albums of the year, and "Regresa al Vertigo" was awarded as the best Metal record of the year by IMAS. Agora is today the most important Metal band in México. Manuel guitar work is recognized by many international brands like Dimarzio, Fender, Jackson and Yamaha.
As a producer , he started on an early age when he attended to a recording studio as a session musician at the age of 17. In 2007 Manuel started his own studio , where he began to produce several music projects from other artists, television and film scoring . During that year he began to work as a musical composer in "El Chavo del 8 animado" (Televisa/Anima Studios) making the complete score for the cartoon series. After the big success of the show, many doors went open and he began to compose for several TV programs and series from Televisa network and other companies. After this he started a solid career as a composer for film scoring .
