New Galatasaray manager Robert Mancini is lining up a shock move for Manchester United’s Antonio Valencia, according to the Express.
Reports suggest the winger is among a number of targets being considered by the former Manchester City manager, who succeeded from Fatih Terim last month.
According to Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik, Mancini is hopeful the Ecuadorian midfielder can be persuaded to leave Old Trafford having fallen down the pecking order under new manager David Moyes.
The paper goes on to suggest that the recent form of rookie Adnan Januzaj will make first team appearances even more difficult to come by for Valencia, who hasn’t started a game since last month’s Manchester derby.
It is thought the Turkish giants are prepared to offer United £12.5 million for the wide-man, and are also prepared to offer the player £3.5 million-a-year in wages.

According to The Sun, Spanish side Sevilla have accepted that Jesus Navas will leave the club this summer.
The quick-footed midfielder has been a transfer target for Manchester City and with Malaga boss, Manuel Pellegrini, who has a ‘verbal agreement‘ to take over at the Etihad, following the dismissal of Robert Mancini, it is believed that Pellegrini wishes to make the Spaniard his first signing of the summer.
The report suggests that a bid of £25 million would be substantial enough but it is unclear what contract demands Navas will have.
Sevilla boss, Unai Emery, has admitted that the 27-year-old will leave this summer:
“Everything indicates he will leave.”
With several Premier League clubs in the race to sign Navas, when asked by the media about a potential move away from Sevilla, he commented:
“Manchester City are a team I like.”

Manchester City’s David Silva has signed a new five-year contract at the Eithad Stadium that will keep him with the Premier League champions until 2017.
The 26-year-old Spanish winger was one of City’s key men last season, scoring six goals and assisting 18 times in 36 league appearances.
Silva spoke of his joy at signing a new contract with the club:
“I’m very pleased because I’ve been here for two years now and I feel very happy here. So now I’m delighted to be extending my contract and being here really does feel just like home for me.”
He added:
“We’ve won the Premier League title and two other trophies too and the team is growing. We are now aiming at the Champions League and so that also is another reason to want to stay here and try and win it.”

Team news ahead of Chelsea’s trip to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City tonight in the Premier League. Kick-off time is at 7.45pm and the match is being screened live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Robert Mancini has hinted that controversial Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez will be named on the bench for tonight’s clash. The Argentinian international has not played for the club since last September and spent the next five months in dispute with the club before failing to secure a move elsewhere in January. Tevez has been back in training for City for the past five weeks and is now fit for selection.
City have defensive concerns with Joleon Lescott (groin) ruled out and Vincent Kompany (calf) a large doubt for the fixture. Right full-back Pablo Zabaleta (hamstring) and midfielder Gareth Barry (back) have been passed fit however.

Do we fear for Villareal tonight? Manchester City are on such a high, it’s difficult to imagine them losing to anyone right now although in truth their form in the Champions League hasn’t been of the quality that will see them go far when it comes to the quarter/semi-final stages. As easy as they are finding life domestically right now, in the Champions League it has been a different story and they actually only picked up their first ever victory in the competition in the reverse fixture with Spanish outfit Villareal last month after slugging it out for a draw with Napoli at home and losing to Bayern Munich.
In the pre-match press conference manager manager Robert Mancini has spoke of how important Sergio Aguero’s late winner from the last tie was and how it has changed the complexion of Group A completely and it’s...

Manchester City certainly haven’t found the Champions League a stroll in the park like they have the domestic campaign this season but then again they were handed the toughest group of all the English teams competing this time round. In their first taste of Champions League football City find themselves five points behind Bayern Munich and three behind Napoli and are yet to win a game with just point to their name. Despite all this, manager Robert Mancini remains completely optimistic for progression to the knockout stages; “If we win this game we can win the group,”
His hopes have no doubt been raised for tonight’s game against Villareal at the Etihad Stadium with star striker Sergio Aguero passed fit to start and what cures would have otherwise been a considerable headache for the Italian boss with Mario Balotelli still suspended (it’s the final game of his...

The club has spent big again by making Blue Moon Rising, a documentary detailing their first season under Sheikh Mansour
Manchester City's domination-complex is not, it appears, restricted to matters on the pitch. Loaded with Sheikh Mansour's billions, the club now not only wants to win trophies at home and abroad but also prove a success at the box-office. Their move into the movie world comes with the release of Blue Moon Rising, a behind-the scenes documentary that details City's first season under Abu Dhabi control and contains interviews with players, staff, fans and a certain guitarist from Oasis.
It is easy to mock the idea of a football-related film but if the exclusive trailer for Blue Moon Rising is anything to go by, this latest attempt has the potential to be rather good; more Damned United than When Saturday Comes.
That is no huge surprise given the club drafted...
