Miss America 2009 Katie Stam-Irk named her newborn son after the iconic Chicago baseball stadium when the Cubs won the World Series on November 2.
“It just fits him perfectly” Stam-Irk tells People. “We’ve been huge fans for a long time.”
Stam-Irk says her son’s name was actually determined by a bet she placed with her husband, Brian Irk, months ago, during her first trimester of pregnancy.
“We were on a family walk and I said, ‘You’ve been a die-hard Cubs fan your whole life, and boy do I have the bet of a lifetime for you!

The judges for the 2013 Miss America Competition were announced on "Good Morning America." As per usual, some of the judges make perfect sense, and some may leave you scratching your head.
For instance, McKayla Maroney, who is one fifth of gold medal winning "Fierce Five," also known as the 2012 USA Olympic Women's Gymnastics team. The Miss America competitors are surely polishing up their talent performances to ensure they're not staring down the barrel of the infamous "McKayla Maroney is not impressed" face.
Another intriguing choice for the judging panel is professional dancer and two-time "Dancing with the Stars" champion, Cheryl Burke.
Former Miss America, Katie Stam Irk will join the panel, as one who knows what it takes to represent the Miss America platform on a national level. The author and spokeswoman wore the title in 2009.

The Miss America pageant is officially getting infused with some Olympic spirit. The judges for the national beauty pageant were revealed on Good Morning America today, and Olympic gold medalist McKayla Maroney and Dancing With the Stars regular Cheryl Burke will both be judging the annual competition.
