Air New Zealand's in-flight safety video featuring bikini-clad Sports Illustrated models may have been a little too sexy for some passengers! People riding Air New Zealand flights over the past few months have been treated to a "Safety in Paradise" video narrated by models Chrissy Teigen, Jessica Gomes, Hannah Davis and Ariel Meredith. The spiced-up clip was the subject of some backlash after opponents of the hot vid called it sexist and started a Change.org petition to have it removed. Well good news for haters of the clip (and bad news for fliers who like receiving safety information from sexy supermodels). Air New Zealand will no longer being showing the Sport Illustrated "Safety in...

On Tuesday night, Sports Illustrated gathered its favorite ladies together for one big party in NYC to celebrate the 50th anniversary issue. On the list of stunning model guests were the magazine's three cover girls for 2014 - Nina Agdal, Lily Aldridge, and Chrissy Teigen (who brought her husband, John Legend, with her) - plus past models Molly Sims (with newly-dyed red hair), Irina Shayk, and ageless Christie Brinkley. Chrissy and John have been stealing the show at party after party, posing for adorable Pda-filled photos and supporting each other every chance they get, whether for his music or her modeling. He recently melted everyone's hearts when he sang his love song for his wife, "All of Me," at the Grammys and she dished to us about his romantic moments at home, too. They weren't the only couple mingling at the event, though - singer Cody Simpson showed up with model...

Air New Zealand is no stranger to stunt casting -- it frequently enlists celebrities to spice up its pre-flight safety videos. But the company is getting mixed feedback regarding its newest video, a tie-in to the 50th anniversary of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.
The new clip, titled "Safety in Paradise," features Si models Ariel Meredith, Chrissy Teigen, Hannah Davis and Jessica Gomes on a shoot in the Cook Islands as they instruct Anz passengers on the usual seatbelt-clicking, oxygen mask-wearing policies.
But many people have commented on social media that they feel the video is sexist. "It seems that suddenly they are saying that my sexuality is all that matters about me," university lecturer and feminist commentator Deborah Russell told the Sydney Morning Herald.
Says Air New Zealand spokesperson Andrew Aitken, "We have been careful to ensure 'Safety in Paradise' has been produced in a way that is tasteful.

Here's one way to get people to pay attention to the in-flight safety video - have it star ageless Christie Brinkley and a bunch of other beautiful bikini models. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue teamed with Air New Zealand to create a cheeky, four-minute-plus in-flight instruction video that considers "the beauty of safety." Models Chrissy Teigen, Ariel Meredith, Hannah Davis and Jessica Gomes go through the safety info while lounging in their swimsuits on the Cook Islands. Seatbelts appear on lounge chairs, oxygen masks drop into beachside hammocks and inflatable life jackets are, well, suddenly very sexy.
