With the God of Thunder having starred in four MCU solo films already, everyone is looking forward to Thor 5. Introduced in Kenneth Branagh’s Thor (2011), Chris Hemsworth’s character became the first hero in the MCU timeline to play the lead in four solo films, the last release being 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder. Thus, the rumors swirling around this forthcoming installment have us both excited and anxious about what’s to come.
According to Marvel Updates, the upcoming film will follow Thor’s efforts to prevent a war between New Asgard and Omnipotence City. The idea of Thor being caught in the middle of a cosmic showdown between New Asgard and Omnipotence City is enough to make any fan’s heart race. We all know that Thor is no stranger to conflict, but this time, the stakes seem higher than ever.

When Avengers: Endgame hit the theatres, many fans knew that they had seen the best of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Who could better the hype generated by a band of heroes that united to protect fifty percent of the universe? And they were truly. Since then, the MCU has lost its way here and there, with the new characters failing to generate the hype. Yet, there still remain a few characters who are a part of the old guard, Thor being one such character. And it seems like even his time is up.
Chris Hemsworth has been a part of the MCU for a long time Chris Hemsworth is all set to leave the MCU
Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is one of the characters who has been associated with the MCU since phase one of the franchise. Having wielded the hammer for many movies, he is one of the more loved characters of the franchise.

Once again, the caprices of the Netflix algorithm have somehow unearthed a little talked-about near-bomb from a decade ago and pushed it right to the top of the streaming service's popularity charts. In mid-April of 2023, the Kim Jee-woon action flick "The Last Stand" with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Johnny Knoxville was Netflix's #1 movie. In this case, it is a minor work of justice, as "The Last Stand" was actually a pretty good movie. It was bright, upbeat, enjoyably violent, and boasted a fun cast of notable supporting players, including the inimitable Luis Guzmán, Jaime Alexander, and Rodrigo Santoro. Forest Whitaker played an FBI guy. The film was a modest critical success (it boasts a 61% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes), but only made $43 million at the worldwide box office. It passed from the public consciousness pretty quickly after that.
"The Last Stand" was, of course, meant to be something of a comeback for Schwarzenegger.

Morgan Freeman in director Michael Mailer’s suspense tale The Minute You Wake Up Dead. Courtesy of Saban Films.
The Minute You Wake Up Dead is a title that looms as ominously as it plays for a concept that aptly grows in levels of menace as this quiet, twisty suspense tale unfolds.
The setting is a small, less-than-wealthy Southern town. An investment broker (Cole Hauser) has done well by his fellow citizens in the past, but has just cost a whole lotta folks a whole lotta money when a huge deal he’d touted fell apart, making their extremely non-discretionary funds evaporate.
We meet him as he enters the local diner to icy stares from all, and threats from a few, as he’s just become the redneck version of Bernie Madoff. The hot waitress (Jaime Alexander) he’d had a crush on since their school days is the only...

[Editor’s Note: The following article contains spoilers for “Avengers: Infinity War,” in theaters now.]
“Avengers: Infinity War” continues to dominate at the box office, taking the number one domestic spot for the third week in a row, and grossing $1.6 billion worldwide making it the fifth highest-grossing film of all-time. To put it more simply, Thanos rules. But his shakeup of the McU we’ve grown to know and love over the past ten years has a lot of people asking, just what exactly happened to the characters who were off-screen during “Infinity War”?
While directors Joe and Anthony Russo have been tight-lipped about the plot details of “Avengers 4,” they have been candid about who survived Thanos’ snap, which wiped out a bevy of beloved characters, including Black Panther, Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Drax, and many more. In a recent interview with IndieWire’s Kate Erbland, the filmmaking brothers admitted that the decision wasn’t an easy one, but that it needed to be done.

The verdict is in for Blindspot, and the future is bright for the NBC drama.
The peacock network confirmed Thursday afternoon that an order has been placed for Season 4 of the little-viewed, yet very exhilarating spy thriller.
An episode order is yet to be confirmed, but if the first three seasons are anything to go by, it will be another 22 episode order.
Blindspot stars Jaime Alexander as Jane Doe, a woman who appeared on Times Square with no memory, and tattoos that provide pieces of the puzzle to who she really is.
With the move to Friday nights for Blindspot Season 3, the series slipped 40 percent in the demo and is currently averaging 3.3 million viewers and a 0.6 rating among adults 18-49.

While the figures are not great, they are decent for Friday nights, and enough to keep the show on the air for at least one more season.

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., unlike practically every other Marvel TV show, has always aimed to be as related to the movies of the McU as feasibly possible. As well from cameos from the likes of Jaime Alexander’s Sif, Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill and even Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, the fallout from some of the tentpole films has also played out in the ABC series. Events such as Hydra being revealed to run S.H.I.E.L.D., Ultron’s uprising and the Sokovia Accords have all been explored.
It stands to reason, then, that the biggest McU movie of them all, the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, will have a pretty major impact on it, too. S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s showrunners previously teased that this was a possibility last month but now they’ve practically promised that it’s almost certainly going to happen.
