Lic. Laura Durán, Born in León, Guanajuato, Mexico; on April 16, 1980. Since she was little, her love for the arts was born and she participated in all festivals and school plays. In high school and preparatory she was in the IMSS theater group presenting more than 4 works as an actress. Likewise, she took acting classes at "El Circulo teatral de Alberto Estrella" in Mexico City from 2003 to 2004. And at the "Estudi de Teatre Nancy Tuñon" in Barcelona from 2006 to 2007. She studied the Bachelor of Communication Sciences with Specialty in Mass Media from the De La Salle Bajío University. Since 2000, she began her career assisting in the production of television programs in her hometown and in 2003 on Televisa Mexico. At the end of 2004 she moved to Lleida, Spain. In 2005 she studied for the Master in Digital Audiovisual Production at the Salle de Barcelona and as a final project in the Production area she made the Short Film "Connections", from here her love for cinema was born and she began to collaborate with different production.. In 2008, as an announcer on Radio Badalona, she hosted the program Casa Meva es Casa Teva for 6 months together with Angélica Chara and Curro, which was broadcast every Friday. Since 2009, she has been a member of CIMA (Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media) of Spain; and course the Workshop Film Business ESCAC (School of Cinematography and Audiovisual of Catalonia) in Sitges with Producer Luis de Val. In 2011 she returned to the stage as an actress with the group Hangar Teatre de Lleida. In 2012 at the Magical de Lleida, she took the Multicamera Assistant and Set Assistant and machinist courses, where she met Vicent Duràn and in July 2013, invited her as an assistant in the production of the video clip of the Song "Away from my skin" from the Wallpaper group. Last job before returning that same year to her native country.
In 2015, together with Lic. Salvador López Orozco, they created the Molinillo Films Production Company, who was born from the mixture of Talents and Art to create CINE. They filmed her first two short films "El Pintor" and "El Cóctel", her debut operas as a director, starring Ariel López Padilla, Aleyda Gallardo, Andrés Ramírez, Lázaro Ramírez and Eduardo Hernández. With voiceover by Rafael Hernan and Original Music by Patty Ibarra, Marcelino Cortizo, Leonardo Rangel and Alejandro Zaragozi.
In 2016, she and Salvador López Orozco created the event "Ayudando desde el Talento"; As a thank you to life and work, holding quality events for charity purposes. From that moment on. From Molinillo Films, they carry out different entertainment events, such as parades, concerts, conferences, etc.
Since 2017 she has been a partner of Mujeres en el cine y la Televisión A.C. from Mexico. That same year, she received "El Sol de Oro" and "Palmas de Oro" from the National Circle of Journalists, as a boost and recognition of her career as Producer and Audiovisual Director.
In 2018 the short films "El Pintor" and "El Cóctel" began their journey at festivals. Selected in the official section of the 30th Girona Film Festival. That same year "El Coctel" is selected in the International Exhibition of Women in Film and TV.
In 2020, she wrote her first short film as a scriptwriter "Crisis" which is in pre-production.
