Kevin Eubanks, former bandleader and music director for "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," is returning to the show for the first time in six months since his departure.
Eubanks will appear for a special performance on Tuesday, November 23rd, when his new album "Zen Food" is released. "Zen Food" is Eubanks' first musical project since he left the show in May.
In September, Mack Avenue Records announced they had signed Eubanks for a new record deal. "Zen Food" is his first album since 2006's "Soweto Sun."
"Tonight Show Band" alums drummer Marvin "Smitty" Smith and keyboardist Gerry Etkins return to join Eubanks for the performance. They also perform instrumentation on his new album.
