Leading the audience into the final story as a newcomer yourself is no easy challenge.
In different but equally valuable ways, Shelby Flannery and Hope Diyoze rose to the occasion throughout The 100 Season 7, taking the story places that no one really expected.
Hope was a stranger, but her connection to Diyoza and Octavia made her feel so familiar to the show's fans.
We saw Hope grow as someone who now had more than just her family of three on Skyring into someone with a potential future with some of our favorite characters.
Shelby Flannery managed to make Hope a mysterious and fascinating aspect of The 100. She allowed Hope to be someone we wanted to learn about and yet still created this energy that made us wonder what other layers there were to the character.
All of this came together in the end, with Hope finding her version of a happy...

Is that it for The 100? Creator Jason Rothenberg recently spoke with Deadline about the possibility of a prequel for the TV show.
The sci-fi drama, which just aired its series finale, centers on a post-apocalyptic group of survivors, who believe their people are all that is left of mankind. They wake from 125 years in cryosleep to discover they have been brought to a habitable place named Sanctum. The cast includes Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropuolos, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon, Tasya Teles, Shannon Kook, Jr Bourne, Shelby Flannery, and Chuku Modu.

The 100 Season 7 is here!
Sadly, this will be the last outing for The 100. CW President Mark Pedowitz confirmed during the network’s 2019 Summer TCA press tour appearance that The 100 season 7 will be the show’s final season, though it may live on in a prequel series.
As a midseason premiere, The 100 was one of the lucky shows to wrap up production before the Covid-19 hit, so we will be getting an entire season of the science fiction drama. Production on Season 7 started back up in August and wrapped in March, so the entire season is good to go, unlike some other CW productions that had to shut down production before the season finished.
Here’s our review of the latest episode, “Etherea.”
What’s next? “The Stranger.” Check out the promo below…

While we anticipated that The 100‘s final season would bring its share of major deaths, we honestly didn’t see this week’s tragic twist coming. And we never could have predicted that this particular character’s death would affect us so deeply.
We’re speaking, of course, about Charmaine Diyoza — the ruthless terrorist-turned-mama bear played by Ivana Milicevic. In the final moments of Wednesday’s episode, Diyoza sacrificed herself to save her daughter’s life, ultimately falling victim to the same mysterious crystallization process that wiped out the original Bardoans.

As The 100 nears the end of its seven-season run, the creator and executive producer Jason Rothenberg was joined by cast members Marie Avgeropoulos, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon, Tasya Teles, Shannon Kook, Jr Bourne and Shelby Flannery in a pre-taped panel for Comic-Con@Home to reflect about their time on the CW sci-fi series. In addition to that, Rothenberg gave audiences some vague hints about the backdoor prequel pilot to the series which aired earlier this month.
“We definitely started the season wanting to make sure we didn’t leave anything on the field,” said Rothenberg about wrapping up seven seasons. He added that he recognizes the series leaves a lot of unanswered questions throughout the seasons that he wanted to answer and said that the prequel episode helped “fill in a lot of the blanks”. For example, he pointed out that the episode addressed why the bunker was empty...

Just as things are getting interesting, suddenly everything is slowing down once more.
The storylines on The 100 can be strong, but they have to have room to grow. Instead, the show hits the accelerator only to hit the brake once the story starts to head somewhere important.
During The 100 Season 7 Episode 6, the group on Nakara had to find the stone to get them to Bardo. But their journey got complicated when they end up in a creature that wasn't exactly friendly.
Meanwhile, Sanctum is falling apart, with everyone looking for a way to tear it apart. Nelson wants justice for what happened to his people. Nikki wants revenge for Hatch getting killed by Raven's lies. And Sheiheda just wants to find someone to play chess with while in Sanctum.
There was a shake-up in Bardo when the group got more significant, but their motivations get scattered. Gabriel was forced...

The 100 fans, mark your calendars for July 8th. This is the broadcast date for the seventh season episode of The 100 that will act as a backdoor pilot for The 100 prequel series in development at The CW.
A backdoor pilot is the industry term for when an episode of an already-existing TV show does double duty as a regular episode and a concept for a spin-off show. The episode and potential series will be set 97 years prior to the events of The 100, shortly after the nuclear apocalypse that ended most life on Earth and sent a portion of humanity into space to wait out the nuclear fallout for the next century.
Jason Rothenberg, who developed The 100 series from the young adult book series of the same name by Kass Morgan, will also be developing the prequel series, alongside Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo. Rothenberg wrote the backdoor pilot episode,...

The 100 Season 7 Episode 2
“The Garden” flits back and forth through time to introduce us to the world beyond the Anomaly, and by extension, to properly reintroduce us to Hope and the Anomaly itself, now known as the bridge. Quite literally a world apart, it’s a magical hour of television that stands as one of the series’ best episodes.
Drawing on the longstanding, well-earned redemption arcs of Diyoza and Octavia and their extremely close bond, this episode asks the question “what makes a family?” and “what kind of life would be enough?” Like The Magicians’ highly celebrated “A Life in the Day” before it, the time dilation on Sky Ring allows Diyoza and Octavia to spend a decade raising a child together without losing more than a few days back in Sanctum. So much of the wonder of this episode belongs, truly, to Marie Avgeropoulos and Ivana Miličević,...

One of the most intriguing questions left unanswered by The 100 Season 6 finale was the arrival of an all-grown-up Hope (who came through the Anomaly and promptly stabbed Octavia). The 100 Season 7 premiere doesn’t disappoint when it comes to her character. While we don’t learn much about her past (mostly because she herself can’t remember), we do get to spend more time with her. And she’s kind of great?
Den of Geek had the chance to chat with The 100 showrunner Jason Rothenberg about the upcoming season. He hinted that Hope might be the key to understanding what the Anomaly represents for the narrative arc moving forward, saying:
We knew that time wasn’t behaving in the Anomaly because of Hope. When Diyoza went into the nominee in Episode 608, she was still pregnant, and three days later, Hope comes out of the Anomaly in 613. And she’s 22 years old.

On a show like The 100, there is so much that is clouded in mystery.
But there is something unique about the existence of Hope Diyoza and what she brings to the story when she appears through another place in time.
The Anomaly brings about Hope and a brand new aspect of the show, one we have never experienced before.
What happened between Diyoza going into the Anomaly and Octavia coming out remains to be seen. What we do know, though, is that the trailer for the new season proved that Shelby Flannery is going to blow our minds.
The daughter of a legendary character like Charmaine Diyoza is meant to steal as many scenes as her mother did. Even our first glimpse at Hope proved that she would bring a whole lot of questions with her, all of which we are excited to explore.

The seventh and final season of The 100 is almost upon us, and as you’ll see in the just-released trailer, it’s going to be a bloodbath.
The 100‘s last hurrah kicks off on Wednesday, May 20 (The CW, 8/7c) with a premiere appropriately titled “From the Ashes.” Per the official synopsis, this first hour finds “Clarke and her friends [attempting] to rebuild Sanctum as a new threat rises in the woods.” Additional (vague) synopses hint at other obstacles to overcome, including uncovering the truth about grown-up Hope’s mysterious past, easing dissent among opposing factions within Sanctum, and investigating a few troubling disappearances.

It might not be the trailer, but we are getting closer to more concrete information about the final season of The 100.
Creator Jason Rothenberg dropped the opening title sequence for the show on his Twitter today, giving fans a sneak peek at new scenery and new additions to the cast.
Actors Chuku Modu, Jr Bourne, and Shelby Flannery have been promoted to series regulars and are officially in the title sequence now.
This means that The 100 Season 7 will introduce us to even more scenes for Gabriel Santiago, Russell Lightbourne, and Hope Diyoza. Their stories were only getting started during The 100 Season 6, and now they are becoming even more integral to the final journey.
But beyond that, it is all about the background behind each name and what that means for the story that is going to be unfolding.

We may be running out new episodes of many of our favorite TV shows, but there is one piece of TV good news: The 100 Season 7 is almost here and, as it finished production just before the production shutdowns due to Covid-19, there’s no reason to believe we won’t be getting all of it. Gearing up for The 100 Season 7 launch on May 20th, The CW has released the episode titles and synopses for the first four episodes of the final season. Here’s what we know…
The 100 Season 7 premiere is titled “From The Ashes,” and is followed by “The Garden,” “False Gods” and “Hesperides.”
“From The Ashes” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. Et)
Season Premiere – Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and her friends attempt to rebuild Sanctum as a new threat rises in the woods. Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropuolos, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon, Tasya Teles, Shannon Kook, Jr Bourne, Shelby Flannery and Chuku Modu also star.

Earlier last month, The 100 fandom got together in Vancouver for Unity Days 2020 to celebrate the final season of the show and to enjoy the fan-created convention once again.
With the final season still filming, there wasn't much that could be shared by the cast. In fact, everything has been very secret this time around, and we haven't even gotten a premiere date or the promise of a potential trailer.
But that is the appeal of a convention, to give fans and cast members the chance to see one another and reflect on the legacy of the show together.
That is exactly what happened from January 24th through January 26th, with fans and the cast alike spending the weekend together talking about their love for the show and their excitement for The 100 Season 7.
Cast members in attendance included Eliza Taylor (Clarke Griffin), Bob Morley (Bellamy Blake), Chuku Modu (Gabriel Santiago...
