1. Jay Wilson Leaves Diablo Development Team
It has been revealed this week that Jay Wilson will be leaving the Diablo development team. Jay, who was the director of Diablo 3 for seven years, has decided to work on other projects within Blizzard. Wilson was the subject of some controversy last year after it emerged he had made disparaging comments about the previous Diablo director David Brevik via his personal Facebook page. Regarding his departure from the team he stated "I've reached a point creatively where I'm looking forward to working on something new."
2. Killer Is Dead Trailer Released
Yesterday Grasshopper Manufacture Inc. released it's first trailer for it's new IP, Killer is Dead. Working with creative director Goichi Suda (Suda51), the game is set to follow the story of Mondo Zappa, an assassin working for Brian Execution Firm, hired to eliminate a series of criminals, cyborgs and monstrosities in a vibrant and visceral near-futurescape.

Britain's Prince Edward read to local parishioners at a church in Canada yesterday (16.09.12). The Earl of Wessex - who was joined by his wife Sophie, the Countess of Wessex - read Proverbs 1:20 to 33 to members of the congregation at St. James-on-the-Lines Anglican Church in Ontario, while more people watched a live feed in a neighbouring hall. The royal couple arrived at the 175-year-old structure in a limo yesterday morning and they met locals and the Archbishop of Toronto Reverend Colin Johnson outside the church. After the service the prince and his wife met the oldest member of the congregation, 95-year old Helen Curry, and then travelled to the Christian longhouse and Ontario's first European Community in Sainte-Marie...

Okay, Windy City, here's a unique one for you. WildClaw Theater is proud to announce Deathscribe 2011, the Fourth Annual International Festival of Radio Horror Plays. The evening will feature five live-action performances complete with musical accompaniment and Foley artists creating effects on the spot. Sounds like a really unique event.
The five selected original works of horror are listed below along with the writer and director. I'm telling you, Chi-town, this event looks like it's worth the price of admission just to see the Foley artists go at it. I initially had to research just what the hell a Foley artist is. If you don't know, it's a guy who does sounds effects with all kinds of random items (kinda like how Slipknot plays percussion on beer kegs and brake drums, etc.).
