Koulla Anastasi is Director of International Development, Woodcut Media. Working alongside CEO, Kate Beal, she is responsible for expanding the company's global activities (outside of the UK), with an initial emphasis on the North American and European territories.
Her remit focuses on the strategic development of Woodcut's true crime and specialist factual programming, building global partnerships, and new project co-development.
Prior to joining Woodcut, Anastasi was Channel Director for Crime + Investigation (CI) and Lifetime at A+E Networks® UK and responsible for developing and driving the brand and editorial strategy for CI and Lifetime across commissions and acquisitions in the UK & Ireland and EMEA.
She commissioned, developed and produced more than 150 hours of true crime programming, including some of the biggest successes on the channels such as Jo Frost on Killer Kids, the RTS award-winning Robbie Coltrane's Critical Evidence, Murdertown with Katherine Kelly (CI's highest performing commission to date), and the flagship documentary series, Crimes That Shook Britain She was also responsible for the roll-out of global hit franchises such as Dance Moms and Project Runway for Lifetime UK. Over the years, Koulla has also participated as a judge for the Broadcast Awards and the Broadcast Digital Awards, and produced sessions such as ITV's 'Meet the Controller' during the Edinburgh International TV Festival (2017 & 2018).
