Today, Conor and I have a brief, lovely chat with filmmaker Bill Morrison, who blew many cinephiles away with Dawson City: Frozen Time a few years back. We were lucky enough to speak with him then about the film and its inception. This time around, Morrison has a short film called let me come in, which is having its world broadcast premiere as part of the TCM Classic Film Festival on May 7th.

This new series will launch today, April 14 at 3 p.m. Edt with a live performance and conversation with acclaimed theater, TV, and film actor Tituss Burgess. In addition to performing some of his favorite musical numbers, Burgess will interview a few special friends including Tony Award winning composer Jason Robert Brown The Bridges of Madison County, The Last Five Years, renowned soprano Angel Blue The Metropolitan Opera's Porgy Bess, and other surprise guests. As part of the program, Burgess will also be interviewed by Emmy award-winning journalist Frank Dilella, host of Spectrum News NY1's On Stage, and together they will take questions via social media from the viewing audience.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts announces today An Evening of Wicked Fun Honoring Stephen Schwartz, a Spring Celebration fundraising event presented by the legendary House of Harry Winston, highlighting the work of the award-winning composer/lyricist of classic musicals including Wicked, Pippin, Godspell, Enchanted and more.
