Burnt Flowers, the new film from writer/director Michael Fausti, begins with a series of scenes swiftly moving back and forth between London’s Rose Bar in 1968, Islington in 1983 and the Islington Police Station in 1992.
The last location is where Detective Franc Alban has a visitor, Alice Kyteller. She’s there to report a missing person, her husband Austin whom she last saw eight years ago in a brothel. To celebrate the release of Brandon Cronenberg’s Infinity Pool, we spoke with the director and stars of the film!.
Infinity Pool revolves around James, a failed writer on holiday with his partner Em in fictional seaside resort Li Tolqa. After the pair encounter the entrancing Gabi, and her husband Alban, they are immersed in the dark secrets of the resort and country, as well as frightening practise called doubling. But could Gabi be more dangerous than them all?
We spoke with lead Alexander Skarsgaard and Mia Goth about filming extreme scenes and working with Cronenberg.
We also spoke with Brandon Cronenberg about crafting the horror film and working with the actors.
