With a seemingly endless amount of streaming options — not only the titles at our disposal, but services themselves — we’ve taken it upon ourselves to highlight the titles that have recently hit platforms. Every week, one will be able to see the cream of the crop (or perhaps some simply interesting picks) of streaming titles (new and old) across platforms such as Netflix, iTunes, Amazon, and more (note: U.S. only). Check out our rundown for this week’s selections below.
City of Tiny Lights (Pete Travis)
Small-time private detective Tommy Akhtar (Riz Ahmed) has all the swagger of a hard-boiled snoop: leather jacket on his shoulders and cigarette in his mouth, leaning against London architecture in the darkened night. His office resides above some shops, he makes friendly with local convenience store owner Mrs. Elbaz (Myriam Acharki), and asks new clients where they found him because he’s not advertising in the paper.

David Lynch: The Art Life (Jon Nguyen, Rick Barnes, and Olivia Neergaard-Holm)
Before David Lynch was a filmmaker, he was a struggling painter, whose lifeblood was to “drink coffee, smoke cigarettes, and paint.” That’s what he dubbed “the art life,” and what an image – as featured in the many contemporary photos seen in this new documentary – it is, the bequiffed 20-something Lynch sitting back in his Philadelphia studio,...

Jazz trumpeter Lee Morgan was known for creatively challenging the likes of Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis on stage with his style and intensity, a youthful performer who surprised audiences by playing with utter confidence and maturity. For a time, he was considered one of the most important jazz musicians alive. His wife, Helen Morgan, was a forceful woman, who attracted attention with her good looks and delectable cooking. Her home became a hang out spot for struggling New York musicians who needed a warm meal after a rough night performing in the clubs. Morgan and Helen fell in love, becoming quick partners. When Morgan fell into heroin addiction, Helen saved him, pushing her man into rehabilitation. And later, she killed him, shooting him in the chest as he stood on stage, clutching his trumpet.

Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace made a frosty return to the Big Brother house last night (June 24) and she's already arguing with her nemesis Helen Wood.
The 36-year-old - who first appeared on the show's seventh series in 2006 - set things off by calling Helen a "basic bitch" as soon as she re-entered the house.
And Helen and Aisleyne have already come to blows... http://t.co/J4bqQxnV95 #Bbbots pic.twitter.com/rnFE6IDupt

Aisleyne entered the house dressed as Father Christmas earlier in the evening, giving out basic and luxury gifts to those she deemed had been good or bad. Obviously, Helen fell into the bad category and the topic wasn't going to be left to rest.
In a preview clip, Aisleyne says she doesn't want to "breathe negativity" into the house.
"I don't give a s**t about that," Helen responds. "You threw a present saying,...

Andy Herren outlasted some of the cockiest and brashest houseguests in Big Brother history to win the CBS reality series’ 15th season on Wednesday night, and he did it using two tricks: staying furtive and staying paranoid. The 26-year-old Aurora, Il native never threatened the household with intimidation tactics like early evictee Jeremy McGuire, who would “walk from room to room pounding his fist into his hand before competitions, making sure everyone saw” (says Herren) or Amanda Zuckerman, who would get into screaming fights with fellow houseguests like Elissa Slater and eventual runner-up GinaMarie Zimmerman. He simply predicted everyone’s behavior well, attached himself to winning alliances, and ditched those alliances with precise timing once they staled. Unlike everyone else in the game, he was never for a second complacent.

Big Brother 15 GinaMarie Zimmerman pulled out Hoh win last night for week 6. As previously reported, the Big Brother 15 live eviction show sent contestant ,Howard Overby, packing last night. Then the new Hoh game went down right after that ,and it turned out to be an endurance comp, which apparently favored GinaMarie Zimmerman. They had to hold on for dear life while keeping balance on a spinning barrel that had them doing a treadmill type motion. The contest lasted just under two hours and came down to GinaMarie and McCrae. They showed the whole thing on the live feeds. Spencer and Candice went down first. Then Helen fell, followed by Amanda. Next, Elissa, Judd, and Andy met their demise. Candice won $5,000 after choosing one of the gift boxes. Spencer won a bullhorn, and Helen got a mystery card.
