Derek Erskine and Cassandra Leopold in.'Tracy'.
It.s been a long journey to the screen for writer-director-actor Derek Erskine.s thriller Tracy.—.five years in fact.
Erskine shot about an hour of the film in which he and Cassandra Leopold play a married couple who embark on a drug and alcohol-fuelled psychotic rampage, but then moved on to other projects.
Late last year he showed 20 minutes of footage he.d edited to actor-writer-producer Naomi Lisner while they were shooting Bluebird, an espionage action thriller.
Lisner loved what she saw, describing it as Animal Kingdom meets Boogie Nights, and told Erskine, .You need to finish this, it.s too good to just sit there..
Erskine asked her to write the rest of the script, adding new scenes, characters and locations, and retaining the dark, edgy tone but adding humour..
The cast includes Vanessa Moltzen, Chloe Guymer, Ben Rose and Lisner as Jade,...

One minute you're sat next to Louis Walsh with your Little Muffins, oozing in clothing and perfume endorsements. The next you're being accused of supplying class A drugs and being hauled through the courts.
Fame is a fickle game, which is exactly what BBC Three got across in tonight's one-hour documentary, charting the past year of Tulisa Contostavlos's life - from her initial arrest after being set up in a drug sting by The Sun on Sunday to the case being dramatically thrown out of court earlier this month.
So, here's the 6 things we learned after we watched Tulisa: The Price of Fame...
Saying that you "did it all for Leonardo DiCaprio" is not a defence
When Mazher Mahmood approached Tulisa posing as a film producer, he told her that she would be a film star, work with Leonardo DiCaprio, win awards and earn £3.5 million to boot.

She’s facing serious consequences for allegedly trying to set up a drug deal with an undercover reporter and Tulisa Contostavlos showed up at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday morning (December 19) to answer for herself.
The “Sight of You” songstress looked pretty cranky as she strolled past some shutterbugs, sporting a cleavage-bearing black top with a black blazer and black trousers.
Once inside, Tulisa pleaded ‘not guilty’ to her involvement in a drug deal involving 13.9 grams of cocaine, and her lawyer is calling the entire case bunk.
Attorney Ben Rose told press, “Tulisa has been charged with a serious criminal offence to which she will plead not guilty. As has been widely reported, this entire case has been manufactured by the Sunday Sun and Mazher Mahmood, sometimes known as the fake sheikh. They spent a large amount of their readers’ money in flying Tulisa and a number of her friends first class to Las Vegas.

The stunning home that Cameron Frye called home in the 1986 classic "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" is back on the market -- at a discounted price.
Per the Chicago Tribune, the incredible Ben Rose home located at 370 Beech St. in Highland Park was back on the market with a $1.5 million asking price with Coldwell Banker on Monday.
That price is $150,000 less than the $1.65 million asking price the property had when it was last listed in 2011. According to Curbed Chicago, it was listed as high as $2.3 million in 2009.
Built in 1953, the steel-and-glass home was designed by architects A. James Speyer and David Haid and comes with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, wall-to-ceiling windows and room to park four cars -- including a red Ferrari, should one be so inclined. The home is surrounded by trees and offers 5,300 square feet of living space throughout.
The new listing only offers one exterior pic, but...

No matter your stature in rap, working with Dr. Dre is a pretty big deal. Newcomers like Kendrick Lamar and Slim the Mobster have seen their careers grow considerably after working with the good doctor, while veterans like Busta Rhymes and 50 Cent have marveled at Dre's in-studio work ethic. For T.I., however, simply working with the West Coast production king isn't enough. He wants to develop a tighter musical bond.
On Tuesday (December 28), Tip leaked a trailer for the mixtape F--- da City Up that showed him and Dre working together in the studio.
"Dre was here. He sent for me over to the spot. We really just turned up more than anything else.

Usher might not have known how big Justin Bieber would become when he discovered him a few years back, but he was pretty sure he had found something special.
Since Bieber burst on the scene with his My World Ep back in 2009, the 17-year-old has grown up with the world watching. He's gone from up-and-comer to full-fledged pop sensation, racking up chart-topping albums and a box-office hit and becoming an all-around mega-heartthrob — all in two years.
Of course, with the good does come negative attention as well. Recently, Bieber was hit with a paternity lawsuit, which has since been dropped.
Usher, no stranger to his own controversies, had these words for the Biebs: "Stay strong. And know that all of this comes with the territory.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s tireless crusade for civil rights is synonymous with the social upheaval and progressive change of the 1960s. He's since become a global icon and figurehead of a revolutionary movement, and even though he is no longer with us, his game-changing legacy is still strongly felt — especially in the hip-hop community.
In celebration of Martin Luther King Day, MTV News reached out to a few rap names who reflected on Dr. King's lasting impact on today's stars, both personally and professionally.

Jay-z and Kanye West dropped their first single, "H.A.M.," on Tuesday, but their record may have overshadowed another "ham" song: Yung Joc and Gucci Mane's "Going Ham" leaked over the weekend.
The tracks aren't related, nor do they have anything to do with a choice cut of pig: The Jay and 'Ye song name is actually an acronym that stands for "Hard As a Mother----er," while Joc and Gucci's version is based on the Atlanta term "going ham," which is a derivative of mayhem. Joc admits most people may not even know the term's origin.
"I think people don't realize it," he explained. "You take a word and cut it down; we've got nicknames for everything. The average person, they don't know what it...

For the John Hughes fan who has John Hughes money: the house that stood in for Cameron's dad's garage, the one Cameron famously demolished along with his dad's beloved Ferrari in the closing moments of Hughes' "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," is up for sale according to an article in The Guardian. For the low low (high) price of $1.65 million, you get what essentially amounts to a pair of giant glass-and-steel boxes on stilts, albeit boxes that are a pretty significant part of movie history for any child of the 1980s like myself.
Sotheby's has the full listing for the property, which is known as The Ben Rose Home but is described as "The Ferris Bueller House" (technically that should be "The Cameron Frye House" but whatever). The 5300 square foot complex has four bedrooms and bathrooms and is comprised of "two steel and glass buildings, which can never be duplicated" and...
