Directed by Derek Presley and written by Crystal Diane Stevens and Presley, the film follows the story of newly ordained priest Father Paul O’Neill, who is reunited with his ex-con older brother, Luke. When Paul discovers that his ex, Donna, had his child almost eight years ago, he endeavors to rescue his daughter and Donna from her abusive husband, Tony. However, chaos ensues as Tony vows revenge and hires a hitman to eliminate Paul.
The production is helmed by producers Stephen Endelman and Ajay Nayyar, with casting by Kerry Barden, editing by David Leonard, and music composed by Stephen Endelman. Principal photography as well as post-production will take place at Twickenham Studios in London.

Grandave Intl. has acquired the international sales rights of sports drama feature film “Sweetwater,” starring Golden Globe winner and Emmy Award winner Jeremy Piven and Academy Award-winning actor Richard Dreyfuss.

Global sales agency Grandave International, whose catalog includes the likes of Omar Chaparro’s 7th & Union and Righteous Thieves with Cam Cigandet and Lisa Vidal, will soon see its movies released in China after signing a deal with producer and distributor M-Star International.
The first releases from the deal will start in China in the second quarter of 2023. Following each theatrical release, the features will get Chinese TV, VOD, SVOD and platform deals via M-Star International distribution partners.
“China has a massive audience, and the theatrical business in China is the largest in the world, and with this deal in place we are covering the Video on Demand segment completely across all the major platforms, across the country,” said Christopher Acebo, president of Grandave International.
The deal was negotiated by Stanley Preschutti, president of Grandave Capital, and Cory Chen, president of M-Star International.

Signature Entertainment recently acquired distribution rights for the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, with the UK release slated for 12 July. Grandave Capital, a new entertainment finance company, has launched Broken English Productions to focus on movie and TV projects centered on Latinx stories told by Latinx filmakers.
Grandave will invest about $20 million starting next year in two to four Latinx projects with emerging writers and directors and budgets of up to $5 million. It will announce its first film at the start of the Cannes Virtual Market. Grandave will also invest in the same number of larger – up to $15 million — outside projects. The first of these was Paul Shrader’s The Card Counter, exec produced by Martin Scorsese, that Deadline reported this week is restarting production in early July.
Grandave president and partner Stanley Preschutti anticpates the firm’s investment this year will be about $5 million. He’ll be working with acquisitions and sales executive Tamara Nagahiro, fomerly of Octane Entertainment, Premiere Entertainment and president, international, at Taiwanese movie distributor Ssg.
