Phoenix, 44, was photographed in Los Angeles with fiancée Rooney Mara after Joker hit theatres last week and earned $96 million at the U.S. box office in its opening weekend, according to Box Office Mojo.
The two met up with friends as they enjoyed a casual day out on Tuesday. Phoenix wore a black t-shirt, black jeans and black shoes, while Mara, 34, dressed in a white t-shirt, black pants and a black sweatshirt tied around her waist.
The Oscar-nominated actor is flying high as Joker continues to rake in millions of dollars.

According to a recent profile of Phoenix in Vanity Fair, the longtime friends first met on the set of the 1995 film To Die For, once lived in the same building in New York, and have matching tattoos that they got together in Italy. The actor, 44, arrived at the 4:45 p.m. showtime for his movie at the IMAX Lincoln Square 13 in New York City on Thursday night. The film’s director, Todd Phillips, accompanied the star as their film made its weekend debut.
