The sky was the limit when it came to voice casting “The Last Kids on Earth.”
Based on Max Brallier’s graphic novel, the animated Netflix series follows Jack (Nick Wolfhard) and his teenage friends, who spent much of the first season playing video games and zombie-fighting in a post-apocalyptic world that wiped out most of humanity.
Although the first season (and the source material) was primarily focused on Jack’s point of view, Season 2 was a time to open up the world, per the executive producers.
The approach was, “If we could have anyone in the world, who would we have?” Brallier says. They wanted “Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill but thought, “Why would he ever want to do this?”

"Wild in Blue" is a dramatic, fast paced thriller written and directed by Matthew Berkowitz and was acquired by Reel Suspects this year. It's a disturbing, yet compelling journey of a sexual sadist named Charlie, who makes a habit of killing the innocent and young women of his random one night stands. Using a camera he tells us a story of murder, sex and madness as we watch his 'movie in the making'.
Charlie's nihilistic ways begin to soften when he meets Ashley, a beautiful hairdresser who he stalks and secretly videotapes around Los Angeles. The only difference between her and all his other prey is that he starts to feel for her. Regardless of his demonic tendencies, his humanity is revealed in his subconscious desperation to love and be loved. This shift opens up feelings of sympathy for Charlie, an otherwise despicable character.
The biggest turn of "Wild in Blue" is its unexpected ending, which cannot be spoiled and must be watched. The final twist makes this dark exploration satisfying and sheds some rays of hope for Charlie.
The film's style, screen direction, cinematography and editing create a roller coaster ride through the mind of a deranged killer. Take "Irreversible", "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer" and "American Psycho" put them in a blender on high speed and out comes "Wild in Blue"; a must see new indie film.

Out of the Cannes marketplace comes the disturbing, intriguing trailer for Matthew Berkowitz's Wild in Blue, which, at the very least looks as though it won't be shying away from the more explicit aspects of its sociopath-with-a-movie-camera love story. The trailer heavy on flesh, blood and sadistic imagery, but vague about the plot. Fortunately, we have a synopsis! Check both out below. A story about a madman with a movie camera, that thinks he's smarter than you. He's a narcissist. He's a nihilist, a sexual sadist and killer of innocent women. His name is Charlie, and this is his world: a place of evil, violence and perversion, where only his camera tells the truth. He has set out to make an honest film - no...
