CBS has set the premiere dates for its strike-impacted fall 2023 lineup.
Repeats of the Paramount Network hit “Yellowstone” will kick off its broadcast run on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 8:30 p.m. Et following the 56th season (!) premiere of “60 Minutes” at 7:30 p.m.
The debut of three new unscripted series includes “Buddy Games,” a reality show hosted by Josh Duhamel, premiering on Sept. 14 at 9 p.m.; the Jaime Camil-hosted “Lotería Loca” on Oct. 2 at 9 p.m.; and “Raid the Cage” on Oct. 13 at 9 p.m.
September will see the return of CBS’ slate of long-running reality shows “Survivor” and “The Amazing Race,” now sporting super-sized 90 minute versions, on Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., respectively. A special 20th-anniversary mini marathon of “NCIS” rebroadcasts will be held on Sept. 25.

"Can't stop now, it's the role of a lifetime." Vertical Ent. has released an official trailer for an indie comedy titled Playing God, a film from writer / director Scott Brignac. It's debuting in August despite not showing up at any festivals before. A brother & sister con-artist duo find themselves scamming a grieving billionaire by convincing him they can introduce him to God, face-to-face. They recruit their mentor, and together the three of them attempt the biggest con of their lives. The film stars Hannah Kasulka & Luke Benward as the con siblings, also joined by Michael McKean, Jude Demorest, Marc Menchaca, plus Alan Tudyk. This actually looks like a great heist film, might be an undiscovered gem. Especially with the tease when he finally sits down with "God" - yeah this film seems much more clever and grand than I was expecting at first. They recruit their longtime mentor, Frank (McKean), to “play” God as the three of them attempt the biggest con of their lives.

The 18th annual San Antonio Film Festival will run for a solid week, June 18-24, at several locations around the city and will feature, as it always does, an expansive and impressive lineup of documentaries, thrillers, dramas and a ton of short films.
The fest kicks off on the 18th with the Canadian culture clash comedy French Immersion, directed by Kevin Tierney, followed by a block of homegrown short films from all over the great state of Texas. The next night’s programming, the 19th, pays tribute to San Antonio’s neighbors to the south with two feature films from Mexico, the drama Burros by Odin Salazar Flores and the documentary Die Standing Up by Jacaranda Correa, as well as a block of short films.
