One of the more intense moments from The Walking Dead comic book series is Rick’s hand-to-hand fight with Hilltop resident Ethan, and for our latest Q&A feature, we caught up with Justin Kucsulain, the actor who played Ethan on Season 6 of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Kucsulain discussed filming the gritty fight scene with Andrew Lincoln, being on the set of the Hilltop, his role in Season 2 of Bloodline, and more.
Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions for us, Justin. When were you first inspired to become an actor and what drove you to pursue acting as a career?
Justin Kucsulain: I was first inspired to become an actor on the set of the 2013 Marvel summer blockbuster, Iron Man 3, working as a featured extra. At the time I was just a “big, fit dude” with zero craft, working strictly off of natural ability.

"The Walking Dead" cast and creators received a typically glowing reception at this year's San Diego Comic Con, where the epic first trailer for Season 6 (embedded above) premiered in Hall H to an audience of 6,000 screaming fans. Later, showrunner Scott M. Gimple, producer/director/special makeup f/x designer Gregory Nicotero and cast members including Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride and Norman Reedus sat down with the press for a series of interviews. Here are 13 of the best quotes/revelations from that chat. 1. Steven Yeun hated Lori as much as you did. "I remember the first couple seasons, there was a little bit of backlash on Lori. The character Lori. And to me, she was very similar to the character that they wrote in the book. In the book, when I read the book, I hated Lori. But the thing is, is the reason why is because she's coming...

No wonder Hunahpu has won every single Survivor immunity challenge they have tried to win this season (Drew intentionally lost one because he is a moron) — it's because they were eating twice as much rice as the other tribe. As a result, the folks stuck on Hunahpu will have to strike some sort of bargain with Jeff Probst next week to replenish their practically non-existent food supply. What will it cost them? We'll find out next Wednesday. But whose fault is it? Who kept insisting on cooking all of that rice? We asked the latest person voted out (and a former Hunahpuian), Kelley Wentworth,...

After a long and painful hiatus, The Walking Dead returns. This episode heavily favors Rick and Carl, with a little bit of Michonne, directly after the showdown at the prison. Rick, being wounded pretty badly, is scurrying around with Carl in a desperate search for food and shelter, while Michonne, all on her own, is the last person standing at what remains of the prison. We get a glimpse of The Governor’s lifeless body,...

Funniest Schtick: Watching Supernatural’s Dean play fetch, bark at the mailman and scratch himself was downright hysterical, even if his Dr. Doolittle routine got real old real fast.
Tastiest Art Display: In exposing General Hospital’s Franco as a fraud, Heather revealed that the painting around his new collection had been built was a portrait of a Blt!
Biggest Contradiction: Despite their being a blindside every week, the latest cycle of Survivor is relatively boring thanks to the lackluster folks occupying the island.
Quickest Ascension: Scandal’s James spent a day in the White House pool, landed an interview with the First Lady and this week, was put on the short list of top-journalists with Diane Sawyer!
Oddest Swooning: Top Chef’s Stephanie was so taken with guest judge John Besh that she acted as if winning the quick fire challenge would land her a date with the guy!

It was double trouble last night on Survivor: Blood vs. Water as two people were eliminated from the game when they lost the final pre-merge duel at Redemption Island. But was that final duel — in which the contestants had to put their feet in tiny footholds while hanging onto a pole to support all their weight for as long as possible — fair? We asked the eliminated man with the size 12-and-a-half feet — John Cody — his thoughts when he called into Entertainment Weekly Radio (SiriusXM, channel 105), and now you can hear the entire thing on the InsideTV Podcast.

[Spoiler Alert: This article contains information on Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead, so read on only if you have already watched the episode.]
At the end of last week’s The Walking Dead episode, Carol informed Rick that to help prevent the spread of the virus, she had been one that killed Tyreese’s girlfriend once she got sick . What would Rick do with that information? We got our answer this evening when — after taking Carol out on a supply run — Rick told her she was not welcome to come back to the prison with him because he did not want her around his kids. And then, after giving her some supplies, he left her.
Brutal. Personally, I’m kind of Team Carol on this one.

Rick Grimes is having yet another very bad day. Not a wake-up-from-a-coma-to-find-the-world's-been-overrun-by-zombies bad day or even a my-son-just-shot-my-wife-after-she-gave-birth-to-a-child-that-may-have-been-fathered-by-my-former-best-friend sort of day, but still pretty awful. There's dirt smeared on his face, a gash over his left eye and a soiled white bandage wrapped loosely around one hand. He's gasping for breath as he trudges up a hill outside the prison he and the band of survivors he's leading call home. He looks like he might collapse.

Aaaaand we're back! The dead were up and walking again on Sunday night, as we rejoined the cast of "The Walking Dead" in their prison-dwelling, zombie-slaying lives of leisure. It's been six months since we watched Woodbury go down in the big finale of Season 3, and about as much time has passed in the Walking Dead universe — giving the remaining survivors plenty of time to make friends, build a community, and possibly become a bit too secure in the ability of their barbed wire and big walls to keep the dangerous world at bay. Here's what went down in the long-awaited premiere of Season 4.
To begin with, things are pretty hunky-dory at Chez Survivor. They've got al fresco dining, a robust garden, even a working iPod with which to drown out the gnashing of walkers whilst you hoe a row. And whatever early (off-screen) growing pains the prison community might've experienced,...

If you’ve ever wanted to wage war against zombies on a national front, with no threat of real infection, then the Risk game is a solid get. Read on for a description of both games and their pieces.
USAopoly will debut a brand new map set in the southeast region of the United States where players battle and scavenge for their very lives. Players vie to be the dominant group of survivors in a post apocalyptic world infested by the undead. Contending for survival at every turn, gamers must not only fend off attacks from the living who compete for precious, limited resources upon which their survival depends,...

Survivor Review, Season 26, Episode 12
“The Beginning of the End”
Airs Wednesdays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
In the very first episode of Survivor: Caramoan, Andrea faced serious danger by playing way too hard. She went after Francesca and received four votes from the minority group. The favorites’ dominance kept her off the radar for a while, but she’s survived a few close calls. Andrea’s chosen a risky game all season, and she faces the music this week. Once the other favorites learn that she’s targeting Brenda, they turn the tables and blindside her in the episode’s second Tribal Council. When Reynold falls off the perch in the first immunity challenge, his fate is sealed. He exits gracefully, and Eddie seems like the obvious next target. Like the departing Malcolm last week, it’s Andrea’s attempts to make a move that doom her fate. Her...

Survivor Review, Season 26, Episode 11
“Come Over to the Dark Side”
Airs Wednesdays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
Survivor fans love players who make big moves and don’t coast to the end. They’d much rather see a strategist like Rob Cesternino jumping alliances and shaking up the game then watch a dominator like Kim Spradlin. It makes the game exciting and avoids the predictable boots that plagued the South Pacific and One World seasons. The danger for players is that going after the title often doesn’t work. The riskier strategy wins the love of the fans, particularly when it’s done without the arrogance of Russell Hantz. Can players win this way in the game’s current era, however? In a season of returning players, the paranoia is even higher. Telling the wrong person (i.e., Dawn) can ruin any plan. Last week, Malcolm executed a wonderful move...

Lori. T-Dog. Oscar. Axel. Merle. Lots of other people like Ben that we didn’t really care about. All of them bit the dust during season 3 of The Walking Dead. But there is one episode left, and with a big battle looming between Rick and The Governor, it seems a pretty safe bet that not everyone will be safe when all is said and done. On the latest edition of the InsideTV Podcast, Darren Franich and I place odds on who might die on Sunday’s season finale. Will it be a member of the Greene family (specifically Hershel or Beth)? How about Andrea?...

Chicago – Zombies. Dragons. Gangsters. Meth dealers. David Lynch. It was a weird year for television. Was it a good year? Sorta. It was nowhere near the landmark year of 2011 but there was still a lot to like and it was easy to get to 30 shows worth mentioning. Most of the greats of 2011 were down a tick (or in the case of “American Horror Story,” Way more than a tick) and there was a notable dearth of new shows worth talking about, especially on the networks, after the best freshman crop in years in 2011. Overall, it felt like a transitional year as networks still seem to be trying to figure out how to compete in an increasingly unstable landscape in which more viewers that advertisers covet are watching HBO Go than NBC. Let’s get right to it with notes on the top ten as to if they’re available on Blu-ray and DVD…...

"The Walking Dead" will be stumbling and moaning back onto your television tonight, with the long-awaited premiere of its highly-anticipated third season. “The Walking Dead” Season 3 commences its dead walking this October on the 14th, when we’ll finally get to properly meet new, fascinating characters like the sword-slinging Michonne, the devilish Governor, and the return of Merle, Resident Cartoony Racist. And of course, all our favorites like Rick, Glenn, Lori, Shane — well, okay, maybe not so much Shane anymore — will also return for another round of undead Survivor. This time I’m betting on the Asian guy! Until October, though, get a look at a handful of new images from the upcoming season. One thing’s for sure, that’s a mighty big knife you got there, Governor. I hope actress Danai Gurira is ready, because she’s about to become instantly famous when the third season of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” re-appears on the screen this October. Gurira is playing Michonne in the upcoming season, a katana-slinging swordswoman who really knows how to swing that sword. In the comic books, Michonne becomes a major ally for Alpha Survivor Rick Grimes, though it remains to see be seen how TV Michonne will interact with Rick and the gang. Until we find out later this year, check out an almost minute-long clip of Michonne in action shown during the show’s marathon this weekend on “The Talking Dead”, the chatfest that usually accompanies the airing of each “The Walking Dead” episode. Season 3 of “The Walking Dead” finds Rick and company seeking shelter in an abandoned prison. Well, not really abandoned abandon, if you know what I mean...

The Walking Dead stormed back with an emotionally-charged episode full of tension and emotion. They’re still dealing with the aftermath of the barn massacre and last night proved that bad things happened to those who left the farm. Carol (Melissa McBride) dealt with Sophia’s death in her own way. Scott Wilson had his finest turn as Hershel trying to efface himself with alcohol and Andrew Lincoln was superb as Rick asserted himself as someone not to be messed with. The most surprising moment of “Nebraska” was that we were introduced to new survivors and just as we thought we’d be adding more people at the farm, Rick blasted them away.
After seeing the zombie that used to be his wife shot, then getting a scythe to the skull, Hershel turned to the top shelf liquor in town, something he hasn’t done since Maggie (Lauren Cohan) was born.

Anyone who watches reality TV knows that the inevitable all-star season of every show is always better than your average run-of-the-mill non-all-star season. (Hence the exciting name.) But at what price? Sure, everyone loves to watch their favorites come back for a second chance to win it all and finally earn the title of TV's best model/chef/designer/apprentice to Donald Trump/survivor/astronaut/canine manicurist, but the downside of every all-star season is that it's a whole season in which no new all-stars are being created. It's like if the Jolly Rancher factory decided, "Hey, for the next month, how about we produce packages with only people's favorite flavors in them?" That would be phenomenal! Except at the end of the month, all you'd have left would be grape flavored Jolly Ranchers. These days, interesting reality TV personalities are a cash crop, and we need to harvest some fun new future all-stars Asap,...

Sophie Clarke was the youngest finalist vying for $1 million on Survivor: South Pacific, but age played no role in mastering the competition. Clarke, 22, beat out veteran Benjamin "Coach" Wade, 39, veteran Oscar "Ozzy" Lusth, 30, Albert Destrade, 26, and Rick Nelson, 51, on the CBS hit show's 23rd season. "I feel awesome!" Clarke told People on Monday, the day after the show's winner was announced. "I had a good idea I was going to win. But I didn't want to be too blasé about it because you never know. Then I found myself getting more and more nervous leading up to it - but then I won.

The third time was not the charm for Benjamin “Coach” Wade on Survivor: South Pacific. An outcast at the start of the game, he socially and strategically worked his way into an alliance of five that took him all the way to the end. But once he got there, the jurors resented all the “honor and integrity” talk from a man who ended up deceiving them. Coach is clearly shaken by his loss, as I discovered when he called in to chat about what went wrong at the end.
Entertainment Weekly: I thought you had it, man.
Coach: So did I.

It may have been the Coach and Ozzy show (with a side order of Cochran) for much of Survivor: South Pacific, but in the end, it was the medical student who took home the million dollars and the title of Sole Survivor. Sophie Clarke won challenges when she needed to — including the decisive last one against Ozzy — and handled the bitter jury better than Coach or Albert, leading her to victory and a celebratory chat with yours truly. Sophie called in to discuss how she won (a certain emotional breakdown at Tribal Council certainly didn’t hurt), and don...

Survivor: South Pacific 23.15 "Loyalties Will Be Broken" & Reunion Recap
If you don't know how we arrived at this season's finale episode, take a look at last week's recap.
The final episode of the season begins (after a season recap) on Redemption Island and Brandon's arrival. He says it hurts that he was stabbed in the back by his friends but he stands by his convictions. Ozzy doesn't have much sympathy for a blind faith game. Human beings are greedy and want that money! Back at Te Tuna, Sophie thinks Tribal Council was fantastic. Brandon is gone, and Albert chickened out in front of the Jury by not giving back the Immunity Necklace. Coach rips into Albert for lying to him, declaring he will not be made a fool. Albert, for his part, knows he needs to get back in the good graces of his tribe.

Each week, host Jeff Probst answers a few questions about the most recent episode of Survivor: South Pacific.
Entertainment Weekly: Considering what an outsider Coach was among his tribe when he first arrived on the beach, he did an amazing job in getting to the end, but what was his fatal flaw? Was it making promises to too many people? Was it not bringing people to the end that would have been easier to beat, like Rick and Edna? Or was it all his double-talk at the final Tribal Council? It seemed like instead of just owning what he had done,...

A common question at the end of reality television game shows is if the right or the best person won the game.
The interpretation of that question is highly personal and often has different definitions, There will certainly be plenty of debate over who won last night’s Survivor: South Pacific finale.
Personally, I’ve always appreciated Jeff’s interpretation of who should win Survivor – the person who did win Survivor. Whether you agree with that or not (I’m guessing most of you don’t) it’s hard to argue that Sophie was an undeserving winner. What you could argue is that someone else was more deserving.
The obvious first candidate for this debate is Ozzy. Unquestionably a fan and game favorite, if he had made it to the finale, he would have won. Does that mean he deserves to win?
In my opinion, it doesn’t. Kind of.

Sophie Clarke won Survivor 23,South Pacific tonight in the finale episode 14. Tonight's two hour finale episode kicked off with past scene from the entire season, leading up until tonight's show. Then they showed commentary footage with Brandon and Ozzy at Redemption Island. He told Ozzy about the stupid move he made when he gave the immunity necklace to Albert. Ozzy gave a private interview, and basically said it was a very dumb move too. Meanwhile,Coach blew up and went on a rant about people who lie and stuff. Then they showed the big, final Redemption Island duel between Ozzy and Brandon. The duel was simple. They had to hold their entire body weight up on a pole for as long as they could. The last man to hold on,won. They went for about 36 minutes, and Ozzy pulled it out, again,to return to the main game, while Brandon...
