- At the age of 15, she went to audition for the Broadway production of Billy Elliot, where she found the perfect character for her to play. However, the required age limit for the character was set for an actress not older than 12. She still went to the audition and, because she looked younger, was able to convince the casting director. When she got the call and was informed that she landed the part, she admitted that she lied about her age. The casting director was mad, saying that she probably won't get the part at all. The director on the other hand disagreed, saying that she was perfect for the role. This led to her Broadway debut.
