Wil Wong grew up in Toronto, Canada.
The youngest of three to Helen and Gilbert, Wil worked 8 years for Harbourfront Centre teaching kids acting, computer, and TV/Film production while studying Theatre and Film at York University. After graduating, he was employed for 8 years by Cancom (later becoming a division of Shaw) in their Satellite Learning division. He soon became Executive Producer for 5 years with Loblaw Companies Ltd. (Canada's largest food grocery chain) in the Marketing and Communications departments leading their Business Television division where he produced over 1000 LIVE internal broadcasts and 200 LIVE Town Halls & Conference events. He would go on to manage 5 broadcast studios and 2 auditorium spaces across Canada.
After leaving Loblaw, Wil continued his goal of leading his company Movme Films that focused on creating feature film for a worldwide audience. He dedicates his career helping fellow independent filmmakers in the Toronto community as he writes, directs, and edits his own projects.
