The Light Between Oceans
Alicia Vikander ("A Royal Affair," "The Seventh Son") is closing a deal to star with Michael Fassbender in the Derek Cianfrance-directed adaptation of M.L. Stedman's novel "The Light Between Oceans" for DreamWorks.
The story follows a lighthouse keeper on a remote island in Australia who, with his wife, rescues a baby they find in a rowboat and raise it as their own. The Swedish actress is expected to shoot both it and Tom Hooper's "The Danish Girl" this Fall. [Source: Deadline]

Oona Lawrence ("Matilda the Musical") will play Leila Hope, the daughter of Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams' characters, in "Southpaw" for The Weinstein Company.

Erika Bierman, who played President Snow's granddaughter in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, has joined indie The Tree House. Chris Noth also is attached to the film, which centers around a family tree house that becomes the battleground between a rag-tag group of friends and the neighborhood bullies who want it for their own. Photos 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' Cast Shines at Glittery L.A. Premiere David M. Evans (Smitty, The Sandlot 2) is directing the project, which is produced by Bottomed Out Entertainment.
