Australian model and actor, James O’Halloran, has just become the second male model in history to join the long-running game show.
Following a nationwide casting call and extended competition, which included various tasks based on personality, appearance, and ability to model a car, O’Halloran emerged victorious when the winner was announced on Tuesday. The 30-year-old model beat out two other semi-finalists, Jay Byars and Jonathan Morgan, and will serve as The Price Is Right’s sole male model for one week starting December 15.

There'll be a new face on The Price is Right next week. James O'Halloran, an Australian model and actor, has won a competition to join the show as the second male model in the program's history. After a nationwide casting call, producers narrowed the field down to a group of semi-finalists who competed in various modeling tasks. (Think America's Next Top Model with less Tyra and more abs.) Three finalists emerged, and America voted for the favorite one. In the end, O'Halloran beat out finalists Jay Byars and Jonathan Morgan. O'Halloran doesn't know how much of his success is due to his Aussie accent,...

Times sure have changed on The Price Is Right.
For most of the show's 40-year history, female models have been presenting dinette sets, washing machines and new cars to the excited contestants.
Then, in 2012, the show hired Rob Wilson to be its first male model. (And why not? More than half of the Tpir audience is female.)
After Wilson left the show earlier this year, producers hatched a new plan: to have America vote for the male model to replace him. They held open casting calls around the country. Semifinalists were flown to Los Angeles, where they competed in various...

Survivor is a festival of hotness and exhaustion, much like many of my favorite Herb Ritts music videos. That means it's also inherently gay, and that means we have a job to do before the premiere of Survivor: Philippines this Wednesday: rank the nine finest hotties in the show's history. I tried to assemble a varied platter here of winners and also-rans, so forgive me if I slighted your fave. I'm sure it wasn't personal.
9. Yul Kwon from Cook Islands
Oh yes. Love this man, love that he won during a particularly racially charged season of Survivor, and I especially love his honest smile and threatening bod. He's so charismatic, he was given a PBS show called America Revealed. If this means a spinoff called Yul Kwon Revealed is forthcoming, I'm in full support.
8. Jud/"Fabio" from Nicaragua
A word about Nicaragua: I went off the rails and started rooting for NaOnka that season.

"Whoever wins wins, but I don't wanna be the pawn."- Kathy Vavrick O'Brien, Survivor: MarquesasSurvivor is a treasure trove of valuable life lessons: People will do anything for money; the human spirit can triumph over the elements; never try to sell beach-front property to a native Kansan. Wednesday night, through the poignant travails of Kat Edorsson, we all learned another lesson about our shared humanity. People know at heart what they need to do. They need to stand up for themselves! To take ownership of their decisions! To vote out Chelsea! But when it comes down to Tribal...

If you're keeping score at home, "Survivor: One World" may have done away with its Men vs Women twist long ago, but this is the fifth time in six weeks that a man has gone home. Colton Cumbie orchestrated the elimination of Bill and Matt (and Monica, the only woman sent home in the last six weeks) and then Colton's body orchestrated his elimination. Since then, and since the abrupt Merge, a female alliance headed by Kim and Chelsea has sent Jonas and Mike packing. This week's booted contestant was Jay Byars, who wasn't the secondary target of the...

Jay Byars was the latest eliminated castaway from "Survivor: One World." He tells Zap2it that he figured the girls would turn on him at some point - but not as soon as they did.
Are you glad you did "Survivor"? Was it everything you expected?
"I think it was completely more than I expected. I think it was a freaking awesome experience. I'm super excited and stoked that i even had the privilege to be part of it."
Were you completely blindsided last night? Did you even have an inkling of what was coming?
"I knew those girls were going to turn on me sometime. I did not think, obviously, it was going to be that soon. So, I mean, unfortunately it was too little, too late right before Tribal. Everything hit the fan right before we were getting ready to go, but nothing could be done at that point.

She may not have the flirting skills of Parvati, the humor of Cirie, or the athletic toughness of Stephenie, but Kim Spradlin is certainly making a case to be considered one of the best female contestants to ever play Survivor. There’s a lot of game left, but her mastery and manipulation has been pretty darn impressive so far. On this week’s edition of the InsideTV Podcast, Jessica Shaw and I dissect Kim’s game and whether she should be considered a future all-star. Then, ousted Jay Byars calls in to offer his take, as well as explaining whether...

Survivor 24,One World voted off Jay Byars in episode 9 tonight. Tonight's show kicked off with Greg (Tarzan) and Troy talking game, and being worried that the women might try and start to gang up on the guys. However, they were glad they got rid of Michael in the last episode. After the break, the crew was split up into two teams to do a self-hosted "Rewards Challenge." The winners won barbecue and a boat ride. Afterwards, they showed more commentary with the winners. Jay was still stressing about possible blind sides that may or may not be in the works. Chelsea suggested trying to get rid of Jay or Troy this time, and they basically continued to keep plotting to get rid of the guys. Jay wanted to go ahead and get rid of Alicia, next, because she's two-faced. Jay said,he was pretending to work with Troy until the end,...

Survivor returns to our screens for its brand new season tonight (February 15) and there are a few twists in store for the new castaways... The two tribes - Salani and Manono - will be split into men versus women and both tribes will have to live together at the same camp, meaning they will have to decide whether to share resources and alliances could be formed between opposing tribe members. Ahead of tonight's premiere, make yourselves familiar with the male Manono Tribe by watching their introduction videos below. Jay Byars South Carolina model Jay says he doesn't take anything for granted after mission trips changed his life. "I hope I'm not so predictable in everything and when the time comes to make a big move or decision I'll be brave enough to step up and take chances."
