The Voice UK might not be back until the New Year, but it's all kicking off already. The spinning chairs have been wiped down with a damp dishcloth, the two new coaches have been practising their button-pressing techniques and the singers are looking in the mirror, rehearsing that bit where they tell us how much this means to them. So what can you expect when The Voice UK returns for its fifth series?
When is The Voice UK back?
Nothing is confirmed yet, but we can make a very educated guess. For the past couple of years the show has launched at the beginning of January and based on that, it seems like we could be good to go on Saturday, January 9. It remains to be seen if we're right, but if we were going to put money on any date, it would be that one.
So it's not being axed then?...

You've got to feel a bit sorry for Jermain Jackman. When he was announced as the winner of The Voice 2014 - to much confetti and fanfare - the overwhelming reaction was one of, well, surprise. He wasn't the Digital Spy favourite (Christina Marie). He wasn't the bookies' favourite (Sally Barker). But he was the winner.
Now that the dust has settled a little, though, could Jermain actually be just the winner that The Voice needs? We've heard plenty of slightly mean-spirited snark about how The Voice is yet to produce a star - Leanne Mitchell and Andrea Begley, the first two champions, have so far failed to set the charts alight.
The Voice's future is secure, at least for now - two more series have been ordered by the BBC - but its credibility could begin to be questioned if it doesn't start spinning out successes soon. This is...

will.i.am has revealed that he believes this series of The Voice UK will not succeed without a superstar.
The Black Eyed Peas star gave his thoughts on the current state of the show from his seat during the show's live semi-final on Saturday night (June 15).
He tweeted: "We have to have a superstar this year......a super star needs to come from this show or this show didn't succeed...we need the people help.
"We need to find and define the next big superstar from this show."
The reality competition has fallen to new lows during its second series, with viewer numbers plummeting by 21.7% earlier this month.
Former contestant Bo Bruce also revealed last week she believes Voice UK acts are doomed to fail after the show due to bad management and promotion by the BBC.

Last week, The Voice UK's series one winner stumbled to a chart position outside the top 100. Meanwhile, the show, for a second year in a row, took a big tumble in the ratings after yet more jigging around in the schedules from the BBC. Despite a third series already being recommissioned, things were looking bleak.
But this week, there was a glimmer of hope for The Voice UK. A Belfast girl called Leah McFall is one of the final eight contestants on this year's show. And whisper it quietly, but she could possibly, maybe, be a star in the making.
She looks likely to achieve the show's first ever Top 10 single with her cover of 'I Will Survive' this weekend, pop production powerhouse will.i.am is in love with her and she oozes cool. So could she save the reality show's bacon?

The Voice UK mentor Danny O'Donoghue has stated that hopefuls on the show need more than a good singing voice to succeed.
The Script frontman explained that their voice is "the tip of the iceberg" as artists usually spend around 5% of their careers performing.
"There are some amazing singers on the show. But although they have a great skill, that's the tip of the iceberg," he is quoted as saying in The Sun.
"It's about how well-rounded they are. We only get to sing for about 5% of our careers.
"The rest of it is how you conduct yourself, your plans."
O'Donoghue stated that acts on the show should not rely on their mentors to have a successful career after the series.
"The misconception is that it's up to me to make my acts famous, but we're not a record company. We don't have loads of money to be throwing around on acts.

Bo Bruce has said that acts appearing on The Voice UK are likely to fail once the show comes to an end.
Last year's finalist stated that the BBC has too many restrictions when it comes to promoting acts in comparison to other channels.
Leanne Mitchell's debut album only reached number 134 in the UK album chart, while her winner's single 'Run To You' peaked at 45 last June.
Bruce told The Sun: "I think it was really hard for Leanne after she won. They just put out a single and didn't really advertise the fact that it was out there and available to buy.
"Normally you would have a huge marketing campaign before a big release. But you can't do that when you have won The Voice."
She continued: "Being part of the BBC, they can't be seen to do that. They have far more restrictions. If you look at The X Factor,...

Bo Bruce has previewed a new track which features in current blockbuster movie Star Trek Into Darkness.
The singer teamed up with Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody and the film's director Jj Abrams for 'The Rage That's In Us All'.
The song plays during a scene featuring Star Trek's iconic character Scotty and is one of six different songs to play during that point in the movie, depending on the country you watch it in.
'The Rage That's In Us All' is featured exclusively in the UK version of Star Trek Into Darkness and was co-written by Abrams and Lightbody, along with Charles Scott.
Star Trek Into Darkness topped the UK box office during its first weekend in cinemas, fending off tough competition from Iron Man 3.

I was the little one on the team, and they always made sure I was all right." Having aristocratic ancestry herself as the daughter of the Earl of Cardigan...

It was reported earlier today that Mitchell had told The Sun that she has performed at parties but has "no big performances planned at present".
However, the singer took to Twitter to deny the claims, saying that she will not "keep defending" herself about her career since winning the BBC singing show.
She said: "Ok, just to clear things up... I haven't actually sang at Any 'birthday parties'..?! I haven't been out 'gigging' as I wanted to 100% focus on writing my album.
"However, I did perform in front of Prince Harry last year, does that count as a 'birthday party'??

Bo Bruce undoubtably made an impression on viewers of 'The Voice' last year.
The waif-like singer, with Danny O'Donaghue coaching her, made it to the finals of the first UK series of the contest, impressing fans with her distinctive sound, simultaneously fragile but rocky, on tracks including 'Without You', 'Charlie Brown' and 'Read All About It'.
Bo Bruce could emerge the real victor of The Voice, with a new single and album on their way
And viewers were also moved as she continued to take part, despite the fading health of her mother. As she was brought to tears in some of her rehearsals, viewers heard Danny comfort her, realising, "This is hard for you, isn't it?" Bo's mother has since died.
