Emily Deschanel, Sam Trammell and Noma Dumezweni lead “ReEntry,” the first film from the production company PlotNaut, helmed by filmmakers Brendan Choisnet and Daniel Nayeri.
The sci-fi romance stars Deschanel as Elenore, a woman grappling the disappearance of her husband (Trammell), after he enlists in a scientific experiment run by Dumezweni’s character. But, a year later he returns, and she learns he’s from a parallel dimension. She soon has to decide whether to pursue the man who is 99% of the husband she married or wait for the return of the man she once knew.
Deschanel is best known for her 12-year run on the hit Fox series “Bones,” as well as the drama “Continue” and most recently Netflix’s “Devil in Ohio.” Likewise, Trammell starred for seven seasons on “True Blood,” as well as “Homeland” and “The Fault in Our Stars” and Dumezweni most recently starred in “The Little Mermaid,...

The FEDs were closing in during Power Book II: Ghost Season 3 Episode 7, and things are getting real.
Now, we've been here, done this before. Every season the authorities look like they're well on their way to putting Tariq or someone in his family away for life, and in a last-minute hail mary, they find a way to blow it all up.
But with so many moving pieces, from Tariq and Brayden to Davis and now Diana, I wonder if they've finally run out of luck.
Tariq always knew there was heat on him coming off Power Book II: Ghost Season 2, but once Noma stuck her claws into him and everyone else, he had no choice but to get back in the game.
Finding out Lauren was alive has certainly had his head spinning because it's made him realize how out of control and out of his depth he really was.

Lies will always catch up to you.
That was the central theme of Power Book II: Ghost Season 3 Episode 6 as Effie and Brayden were finally brought to the carpet to explain their actions regarding Lauren's "death," and to say Tariq was in no mood for their excuses would be the understatement of the year.
But at the end of the day, those three are tied together, for better or worse, until they can do something about the Noma problem.
Tariq was reeling during this hour but doing his best to keep it all hidden behind his tough exterior. He is a St. Patrick, after all.
While he went in fists first when he confronted Brayden, his decision to lull Effie into a sense of calm before taking her to the site where she killed his girlfriend! A bold move if I've ever seen one.
The thing was, both Tariq and...

The fallout from Lorenzo’s murder is about to be insane.
With Lorenzo gone, the Tejada family will have to find a way to move forward and figure out what their family looks like without Lorenzo at the top.
As you’ll see in this exclusive clip from Power Book II: Ghost Season 3 Episode 6, Monet has thoughts about whom she wants to lead the family, and Dru is looking for revenge.
The Tejada children will understandably be reeling from Lorenzo’s murder and looking for someone to blame.
Starting a war isn’t in anyone’s best interest, but it’s hard to see reason when you’re dealing with complicated emotions.
Of course, the kids don’t realize what really happened, and they’ll be working with the Castillos to get revenge, which could make things very, very messy for everyone.
And moving against the Russians could be devastating in the long run.

Dark secrets have been controlling all the action so far in "Power Book II: Ghost" season three, but episode five marks what showrunner Brett Mahoney calls the "true turning point" that's put everyone on notice.
The episode, titled "No More Second Chances," picks up after the shooting death of Detective Kevin Whitman (Jeff Hephner) in Monet's (Mary J. Blige) house, with the feds snooping around on suspicion that her self-defense excuse is really a murder cover-up. There's also the fact that Monet has finally figured out who killed her son Zeke: her husband, Lorenzo (Berto Colón). Then, on the other side of "Power Book II," Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.), his girlfriend, Effie (Alix Lapri), and partner-in-crime, Brayden (Gianni Paolo), get roped into a mess overseas during their business trip to Italy, as the latter gets kidnapped while on a mission for their new drug connect, Noma (Caroline Chikezie).

Tariq has the biggest blind spot I have ever seen in the form of his girlfriend and best friend.
It's getting a little sad to see him hold them in such high regard each hour when they're hiding this massive secret from him, and he's placing all his trust in them.
Tariq even went on one of his famous 'I am Not my father' diatribes during Power Book II: Ghost Season 3 Episode 3, and while we've talked about whether that's true or not to death, I'm not sure Ghost was ever so blindly loyal to anyone. He was far too selfish for that.
Tariq's whole life has been him trying to prove something, but I wonder if he 100% knows what he's trying to prove half the time. Right now, though, he's trying to keep himself and the people he loves alive, that's his singular focus, and his new operation is a...

It's not Power without a copious amount of lies, betrayal, and blackmailing!
And right now, it's all working, which means as the season unfolds, we should be in for a lot of fireworks when someone inevitably gets in over their heads.
Power Book II: Ghost Season 3 Episode 2 was a fantastic comedown from the premiere, setting a lot of moving parts into motion, injecting some new storylines into the mix, and putting us on the right path for a hell of a season.
When Lauren appeared alive at the end of Power Book II: Ghost Season 3 Episode 1, it was totally unclear what happened to her and how she ended up with Jenny Sullivan.
But we got the explanation here, and it wasn't exactly what some people were guessing.

Spoiler Alert: The following story reveals major plot points from the Season 3 premiere of Starz’s Power Book II: Ghost.
Power Book II: Ghost dropped its third season premiere on Friday titled “Your Perception, Your Reality” and as expected, it’s filled with sadness and frustration following the tragic events of last season.
Monet (Mary J. Blige) is really going through it following the murder of her son Zeke (Daniel Bellomy). She’s lost her way and healing can only begin by her avenging his death—an eye for an eye. Being that her husband Lorenzo (Berto Colon) shot down Zeke accidentally in a case of mistaken identity, things are plenty complicated.
In the meantime, Monet is so enveloped in grief that she neither notices the internal struggle going on in the family nor that there’s a new baddie in town named Noma (Caroline Chikezie) who is searching for...

It's been a minute since we've been able to talk about a series in the Power Universe. And it's been a sad, sad time.
Luckily Power Book II: Ghost Season 3 Episode 1 is here to save us from ourselves and get us back into the world we've immersed ourselves in for the past 8-plus years.
And look, the original spinoff will just never go out of style. They've come back cool and confident and entertaining as ever. I'd even venture to say this may be the series' best-ever premiere.
Tariq has come a long way from the kid we met many years ago, coasting around the penthouse and failing miserably to stay out of trouble. He's long since grown up and shed a lot of the immaturity he once had, choosing instead to concentrate on school, so he can get his money and take care of himself and his family.

Fans have watched him attempt to juggle his life as a college student with his work as a drug dealer. Though there have been some close calls, so far, Tariq has been able to keep the two separate.
However, a choice at the beginning of Ghost Season 3 will prove that Tariq has made a major mistake.

If a college student/budding drug kingpin walks like James St. Patrick, talks like James St. Patrick and dresses like James St. Patrick… anyone in his way better watch out. And because Tariq is becoming more reminiscent of his late father every day — right down to those designer suits, as we see in Power Book II: Ghost‘s full Season 3 trailer — um, Monet? Be careful.
The official peek at the new season, which Starz released Thursday, finds Michael Rainey Jr.’s character upgrading his wardrobe a bit, perhaps in order to court the finance bros we see in the preview.
