A full Free Movie of the Day is posted on the JoBlo Movies YouTube channel every day of the week – but on Fridays things get a little freakier and a little more fun. Get your weekend started the right way by indulging in Friday Fright Nights! Every Friday, we’ll be taking a look at another genre movie you can watch in its entirety, free of charge, either on the YouTube channel linked above or in the video embed here.
This movie we have for you this week is director David Del Rio’s horror comedy Road Head, which is part of my favorite sub-genre of horror: the slasher. While the title does come from a sex act that some of the characters unsuccessfully try at a couple different points in the movie, it’s also a double entendre, because there’s also a sword-wielding fellow called The Executioner who...

Stars: Clayton Farris, Damian Joseph Quinn, Elizabeth Grullon, Adam Nemet, Paul T. Taylor, Misty Bones, Clay Acker | Written by Justin Xavier | Directed by David Del Rio
Director David Del Rio and writer Justin Xavier, the duo who gave us the twisted Christmas story Sick for Toys, are back with Road Head, a bizarre, raunchy, and occasionally bloody, horror comedy with a distinct LGBTQ+ element. Can this tale of a road trip from hell bring you satisfaction? Or is this one time you should actually decline road head?
Bryan (Clayton Farris; Foster Boy) and his boyfriend Alex just wanted to go on a road trip to Isola Lake out in the desert. Unfortunately Bryan’s bestie Stephanie (Elizabeth Grullon; Killing Lazarus) got dumped by her boyfriend and decides to play third wheel despite the fact she and Alex don’t get along.
To make matters worse the lake turns out to be dried out.

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the assailant of Aleister Black finally making their identity known, so don’t go any-where… get lost.
Match #1: EC3 def. Adam Cole The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
Once again operating at full strength following the return of Bobby Fish, Undisputed Era opened this week’s Nxt by bragging that they embody the black-and-yellow brand. Adam Cole portrayed Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly’s controversial Nxt Tag Team Title defense against The War Raiders last week as a one-sided drubbing in the Era’s favor (which most onlookers would be hard-pressed to agree with) and then alluded to himself once again challenging Ricochet for the Nxt North American Championship. That last part ruffled the feathers of EC3, who entered the arena and, after declaring that Cole didn’t deserve another title opportunity,...

This week, Freestyle Digital Media is getting into the holiday spirit early with director David Del Rio’s psychological thriller with a yuletide twist, Sick For Toys, which just recently premiered on VOD and various digital platforms. Starring Camille Montgomery, Jon Paul Burkhart, David Gunning, and Justin Xavier, the story follows a troubled young woman named Emilia (Montgomery), whose obsession with Christmas and playthings goes way too far, all with the help of her older brother, Edward (Burkhart), who has been catering to his sister’s whims ever since their parents died.
Daily Dead recently had the chance to catch up with Del Rio for a Q&A with the director, in which he discussed being at the helm of his first feature, collaborating with his cast and crew, and more. We also have a clip from the film for Daily Dead readers to enjoy.
Congrats on your first feature as a director.

The season we’ve all been patiently waiting for is nearly upon us, dear readers: fall! With Labor Day right around the corner, it’s only a matter of time until the days get much shorter, the leaves change colors, and the spooky season kicks off, and this autumn, we have one helluva great lineup of horror and sci-fi (as well as a few genre-adjacent) movies coming out that should keep everyone more than busy.
Since it can be quite an undertaking to keep up with everything hitting both the big and small screens (especially this fall—Wow), this writer has put together a preview of all the cinematic treats genre fans should have on their radars this September, October, and November.
September:
Sick For Toys (Directed by David Del Rio) – On VOD September 4th
