The blockbuster zombie-horror-thriller, “Train to Busan,” will be available for digital purchase from December 13 and on DVD and Blu-Ray from January 17th. The film is a sequel to the popular, “Seoul Station,” and stars some of the biggest Korean actors including: Gong Yoo, Jung Yu-mi, Ma Dong-seok, Choi Woo-sik, and An So-hee to name a few. “Train to Busan” received a score of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes, and was one of the most popular recent films from South Korea this season.
The film takes place in South Korea as we follow several passengers who take a bullet train from Seoul, to Busan. At the time of their trip, the country becomes under siege from a zombie infection, from which even the passengers of the space-constraining train are not immune. The group must now work together to fight off the zombies and to hopefully find a safe haven from this viral outbreak.

Bottom Line : A fast paced zombie thriller with strong performances from the leads that’s well worth a watch. But surprisingly its not the zombies that are the star of this show, that honour goes to Kim Eui-sung and Kim Su-an.
Train to Busan is director Yeon Sang-ho‘s first non animated film (he also wrote and directed the excellent animated films ‘King of Pigs‘ and ‘The Fate‘ ). Its been the runaway hit of the year for Korean cinema; It was the first film this year to reach the 10 million viewers milestone at the Korean box office and has also been storming the box offices across Asia (Hong Kong for example).
Surprisingly this is actually the first film in over 15 years of acting for main star Gong Yoo ( The Suspect, Age of Shadows, Silenced ) to pass the coveted 10 million milestone.
So What’s it all about?

In contrast to the Grand Bell Awards, candidates and winners flooded the Grand Peace Palace’s red carpet, in an obvious reaction to the tactics of the organizers of the aforementioned. Additionally, the mass media also contributed to the fact, with their headlines stressing, during the previous days, the presence of celebrities in the Blue Dragon Awards. Lastly, and as usually, since the particular ones are considered more objective, the awards were spread among a plethora of films.
