On Quantico Season 2 Episode 17, the task force stepped a little further into the world of politics, specifically the House of Representatives.
This is a fun switch. It's a break from what a normal Quantico episode looks like, and it allows Clay to shine a bit more.
We still get to see the Quantico we know through Owen and Alex's operation, but we also branch out into something you would see on a show like Designated Survivor: changing votes.
We would not have been able to do this if we were still doing the two timeline song and dance.
Now that we are really exploring and developing a crisis as it unfolds (and not jumping into the past for more information/questions), Quantico has the room to slow an episode down a bit.
In a turn of events that most people probably saw coming, Felix lied to Clay about which representatives were swing votes.

Transporting a lauded Broadway play to the screen is a mixed bag. Among those that hug the yellow section of Metacritic are “Phantom of the Opera,” “M. Butterfly,” “Evita,” “Nine,” “For Colored Girls,” “The Producers,” “Rent,” “Carnage,” and more. Too often, a script’s theater origins condemn a film adaptation to the curse of being “stagey.” It’s a transition that requires real skill — and Denzel Washington has it.
In his third directorial outing (“The Debaters,” “Antwone Fisher”), Washington skirts the hazards of “opening up” a play by chasing honest emotions. A two-time acting Oscar winner, Washington knocks ’50s Pittsburgh drama “Fences” out of the park, both as director and disgruntled former baseball player Troy Maxson. Viola Davis as Rose Maxson, and Mykelti Williamson as her husband’s brain-damaged brother Gabriel, are also likely supporting Oscar players. (Davis made the call to change her status to supporting, partly to take...

“Tramps” director Adam Leon says the film could fall in the crime genre, but the indie romance features surprisingly little violence and mayhem. “That’s not really how someone who’s successfully going to pull off a crime endeavor works,” Leon said in an interview with TheWrap’s Steve Pond,. He said the typical crazy crime boss-type character we often see heist movies wouldn’t necessarily be a great thief in real life. Ask Leon Russell a straight question — say, about the documentary made about him in the early Seventies that's just now seeing the light of day — and the iconoclastic singer-songwriter's answer will eventually wind its way back to the subject after rambling down the crookedest of backroads. "We had a guy at the studio at the time, a harmonica player," he begins. "And one day he put a mic on his heart and started playing harmonica. He played more and more as his heartbeat got faster and faster, until he finally passed out.

Not quite a year since her death, Tavis Smiley and director Kenny Leon have announced that they have teamed up to develop a stage adaptation of Smiley's new Maya Angelou memoir, "My Journey With Maya," which details their nearly 30-year friendship. Smiley was 21 years old when he first met Angelou, who was 58 at the time, in the mid-1980s. The poet, professor, author, speaker, icon died on May 28, 2014. A search for a writer to adapt the book is underway. No word on casting yet. "I haven't been this excited by a project in a long, long time," Leon said. "I don't think there is another person like her in my lifetime or in the last 100 years of...

The man who reportedly pepper-sprayed Jeremy Kyle in Magaluf at the weekend has given his side of the story.
Romanian bouncer Leon, 40, told The Tab that he sprayed the TV host at the resort because he was "making it look s**t".
Kyle is thought to have been filming outside a bar for an upcoming TV special, following the leaking of a video showing a British female student performing sexual acts on 24 men inside a Magaluf club as part of a drinking game.
Leon said of the incident: "He was walking down the strip with a camera making it look s**t. He wasn't showing the good side of Magaluf.
"I don't like that sort of publicity - it's not good. It's been happening for a while now and it's definitely not the way to promote a place".
Leon continued: "He ran away behind the corner. I don't like the way he portrays the place.

Lourdes Leon, Madonna’s eldest daughter, is graduating high school and wrote about leaving high school and entering her college years in a new Material Girl blog post.
Lourdes Leon Graduates High School
Leon, 17, launched the Material Girl clothing company with her mother when she was just a freshman, and in her most recent blog entry, she comments on how strange it is that the clothes she is working on now will hit shelves when she is a freshman in college.
“I just met with the Material Girl design team. Can’t believe I was just starting high school when we launched Mg and now I am graduating! These looks will hit Macy’s when I am a college freshman,” Leon wrote.
Leon graduated from the New York City performing arts Laguardia High School, where she studied drama, and is rumored to be attending the University of Michigan in the fall.

Ellen DeGeneres had a big question for Emil de Leon -- this week's "Wheel of Fortune" winner, who shocked viewers when he won the bonus round by guessing "New Baby Buggy" with only two letters on the board. So, how did he do it? "It's all in the first letters: R-s-t-l-n-e," he explained. "They showed up, the N and the E. It's pretty obvious the first word was new. Then worked on baby. It just sounds right, right? 'New baby?' The hard part [was 'buggy']. I worked with that B again." The correct answer didn't show up immediately, and de Leon said that the delay was the "longest three seconds I've ever felt." It turns out that the nursing student, who took home $63,099 during Wednesday's show, has been a fan of "Wheel" since he was 3 or 4 years old. "I have been watching 'Wheel of Fortune' since I can remember.

It had taken three days before the supervisor—“call me Marty”—asked Finn for the favour. He knew by the looks on the faces of the other staff—the little upturning of their heads that meant they were listening, but weren’t going to show it—that it wasn’t going to be a good favour.
“It’s nothing, really,” Marty said. “You just need to check the bridge before they close up. Alf’s supposed to do it, but he’s hurt his leg—we can’t expect him to do those stairs every night.” His tone said, they can...

The day after President Obama and his family attended what some are viewing as a controversial Easter sermon at St. John's Church, Fox News' Megyn Kelly kicked off her Monday afternoon show with a look at what Reverend Luis Leon said and why it has conservatives so angry. And she even teased the idea that Rev. Leon could become for the left what Dr. Ben Carson has come to represent on the right.

Wow. We lost two main characters in this show - people who played a major role in the lives of Ziva David and Leon Vance. I did not see that coming.
The variations on the theme of family relationships woven throughout "Shabbat Shalom" were hard to miss. We began with a father who desperately wanted his son to open up to him, only to have the connection made - albeit in a weird way - after they discover a dead body together while fishing.
Dad: Sorry, we shouldn't have stayed.
Son: Are you kidding? Dad this is like the most bad-assed thing we've ever done together. Thanks, dad. | permalink
The body turned out to be a disgraced reporter who was masquerading as a Navy petty officer while in pursuit of a story. In a typical NCIS episode, there are two stories going on: one involving a murder, and another involving...
