- Arthur Conte was born on March 31, 1920 in Salses, Pyrénées-Orientales, France. He was a writer and producer, known for Voyage to Grand Tartarie (1974), Au nom du peuple français: Le procès de Louis XVI (1988) and 7 sur 7 (1981). He died on December 26, 2013 in Paris, Ile-de-France, France.

- He was PDG (C.e.o.) of the ORTF the French public radio and TV organization in 1972-73. He wrote about that period in his book "Les Hommes libres". He is the father of Dominique Bona and Pierre Conte.
