- Made first television appearance as a kid on the local portion of the Jerry Lewis Telethon. A local kids show host named Salty Sam was interviewing ordinary everyday kids at the Shoppingtown Mall, Dewitt NY, and I was one of them.
- Since age 3, desired to be in broadcasting. Earliest defined career objective: to someday host Bowling for Dollars (1972). Eventually, Wentworth realized he was not "TV-pretty" (or even "TV-ugly") and focused his sights on radio. He has served one employer for two decades, broadcasting from the heart of rural Nebraska to over 20 listeners each day.
