ABC has given out a pilot order to a legal drama currently titled “Judgement.”
Per the official logline, the show is “a high-stakes legal soap that redefines the genre by playing out over two timelines. Fifteen years from now, a woman being vetted for a Supreme Court seat recounts her experience at a prominent D.C. law firm in 2023, where the only thing more controversial than the cases was her messy love life, caught between two feuding brothers. Now, with a Supreme Court seat on the line, all of her darkest secrets are at risk of coming out, threatening her nomination, her reputation, and her marriage.”
Joey Falco is the writer and executive producer of the pilot. Melvin Mar and Jake Kasdan will executive produce via The Detective Agency. Jordan Cerf of Mosaic will also executive produce. 20th Television, where The Detective Agency is under an overall deal, will produce.

With the news that The CW has canceled around half of their scripted shows, there's a silver lining for fans of Charmed.
The series, under the leadership of Jeffrey Lieber, Joey Falco and Nicki Renna, has crafted its best season yet, so it's unfortunate that it's being canceled in its prime.
However, the Charmed writers social media account shared Thursday night, hours after the cancellation announcement, that they worked towards closure with the season finale.
"As you can tell by the amount of change happening today, we -- the writers -- were always aware that cancellation was possible," reads the Tweet.
"As such, we wrote toward closure. Meaning, we're not leaving you hanging."
"Moreover, there are some really, really, really cool things happening right up to the final frame."
"So, if you've been with us, and are willing to stay with us, we promise you won't be left in the lurch.

Kruger and Shapiro remained on board as executive producers.
Last fall, Australian actress Lucy Barrett (Co-Ed) joined Melonie Diaz, who plays Mel, and Sarah Jeffery (Maggie) as a lead for the fourth season. She succeeded Madeleine Mantock who played co-lead Macy for the first three seasons.

When the news broke that Madeleine Mantock was exiting Charmed after three seasons, it cast a dark cloud over the series.
I couldn't help but worry that the show would not be as entertaining without Mantock as part of the ensemble.
Thankfully, after watching the first two episodes of Charmed Season 4, all of those fears are gone.
Under new leadership from Jeffrey Lieber, Nicki Renna, and Joey Falco, the series mixes what worked the best on the initial three seasons with some fresh new concepts.
Despite Mantock no longer being a part of the show, Mel, Maggie, and Harry are still grappling with her loss.
TV shows often implement significant time jumps to effectively erase a departing character, but it would have been a disservice to the fans to act as though everyone got over Macy's death with ease.
The truth is, it feels like Macy is still a part of the show,...

Hey, "Grand Hotel" fans. We hope you guys enjoyed tonight's episode 7. Now that it's officially over and done with, it's time to go over a few scenarios that the next, new episode 8 is going to serve up. Thanks to ABC's official press release for episode 8, we do have a few teaser descriptions for it. So, that is certainly what we'll be referencing for this spoilers session. To get things started, there is a title for episode 8. It turns out that the producers decided to name it, "Long Night’s Journey Into Day.” It sounds like episode 8 will feature some pretty interesting and possible dramatic scenes as Danny stumbles upon a huge bombshell! The Mendozas go through a recovery phase and more. We'll go ahead and start off this spoiler session with the Mendozas' situation. It turns out that we're going to see things be pretty mellow with the Mendozas in this episode.
