When Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn heard what “Accused” showrunner Howard Gordon wanted to do for what would become the Season 1 finale, he initially rejected it.
“I said, ‘Well, then you only get 14 episodes,'” Gordon told TheWrap.
But after Thorn saw “Billy’s Story” — an emotional saga starring Keith Carradine about a rockstar father’s complicated relationship with his drug-addicted son — the exec changed his tune and apologized. “That’s what’s great about having partners at whatever platform. You have to have people who you trust, who you can be honest with and and push up against — capitulate when you need to, but also say, ‘Hey, I know there’s a good story here. Please let me do it.'”
It’s not difficult to understand why there was hesitation on Fox’s end. Though “Billy’s Story” starts as a somewhat predictable drama about an aging rockstar...

Oscar winner Keith Carradine (Nashville) stars as an aging musician on Fox’s Accused episode 15, “Billy’s Story.” Directed by Julie Herbert from a script by Bronwyn Garrity, the season one finale will air on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 9pm Et/Pt.

The Writers Guild of America has just announced the nominations for their annual awards for Best Screenplays (by writers who are guild signatories). That’s right, before you get nervous thinking that your favorite may have been left off the list, you must remember that the WGA is the group that is not all-inclusive and leaves out several of the top contenders each year due to them not being part of the guild or not following their very specific rules. For this reason, you won’t see Inside Out, The Hateful Eight, and Ex Machina in the Original Screenplay category or Room, Brooklyn, or Anomalisa in the Adapted screenplay category.

The Writers Guild of America announced some of its nominees for its 2015 awards on Thursday, including television, new media, and radio, and among the TV nominees are series both new and old, and all beloved.
In the comedy series category, freshman Netflix show "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" scored a nomination for best series, as well as an overall best new series nod. "The Last Man on Earth" also landed in that latter category, and was singled out for its pilot episode writing, too.
On the drama side of the equation, lauded "Breaking Bad" spinoff "Better Call Saul" also got best series and best new series nominations, in addition to a an episode writing nod. Newly-minted Emmy winner "Game of Thrones" also scored a best drama citation, as well as an episodic writing nomination.

Recently, CBS revealed the new, official synopsis/spoilers for their upcoming "Under The Dome" episode 12 of season 3. The episode is entitled, "Incandescence," and it turns out that we're going to see some very intense and high drama stuff go down as it's revealed that the entire Dome is about to fall apart, killing everybody, and more! In the new, 12th episode press release: As The Dome's Breakdown Accelerates, The Residents Of Chester's Mill Have 24 Hours To Ensure Their Survival. Press release number 2: When the Dome's calcification process accelerates, Chester's Mill is going to have 24 hours before the barrier's breakdown suffocates everyone inside. While the new deadline puts added pressure on Joe to bring the Dome down, Barbie and Julia are going to race to save his child from The Kinship. Also, Big Jim will try to manage the increasingly volatile Hektor (Eriq La Salle), who is adamant that infected townspeople never escape the Dome.
