ABC’s People Icons tonight tells the incredible story of Stephanie Decker, the mom who lost her legs saving her two kids in two separate tornadoes. Stephanie’s ordeal began on March 2, 2012, as tornadoes devastated the town of Henryville, Indiana. She got back home with her two kids, Dominic, then 8, and Reese, then 5, just as a first tornado was starting to hit hard. Realising the danger, she started to take Dominic and Reese into the basement. At that point, she told People: “I looked up and I saw our trampoline that was staked in the ground go flying across the yard. “Then...read more...

It’s been five years since Stephanie Decker made the life-altering decision to save her kids instead of herself when a tornado ripped through their town of Henry, Indiana. And the devoted mom says she has no regrets about losing both of her legs in the process.
“I don’t even think twice about it,” says Decker, who appears on People Icons: Heroes & Survivors on Tuesday, March 14, at 10 p.m. Et on ABC. “I wouldn’t change it for a million bucks. Things happen for a reason. It was my time to step up.”

The first decade and a half of the 21st century has brought a lot of changes to the landscape of film. The advancement and sophistication of computers has made realistic computer generated effects a mainstay in both big-budget and small-budget films. The internet and streaming technologies have given big Hollywood new competition in films produced independently and by non-traditional means. We went from purchasing films on yards of tape to plastic disks, and now we can simply upload them to the cloud. Advertisements for films have reached a higher, more ruthless level where generating hype through trailers and teasers is crucial for a film’s commercial success. Movie attendance has fluctuated along with the economy, but that hasn...

'Gogglebox' stars Steph and Dom Parker sleep in separate bedrooms. The posh couple believe the key to their long-lasting marriage is giving one another space to get a good night's rest. They said: ''We sleep in different bedrooms. If you want your marriage to last, we heartily recommend it - we've been doing it for 15 years. ''We both have different sleeping patterns, so this is the best way for both of us.'' Despite their boozy behaviour on the show, the pair insist they aren't always drunk. They added:'' Despite what people think, we're not permanently hammered. We don't hide the fact we love a...

It might be funny to watch Gogglebox favourites Steph and Dom Parker get tipsy on the telly, but bosses at The One Show weren't as impressed.
The couple appeared on Monday (September 21) to promote their new book Steph and Dom's Guide To Life, but had a few too many in the green room after the show and were asked to leave.
Steph told The Sun: "We overdid it a bit because we were excited. We were on The One Show and had cocktails afterwards - porn star Martinis are yummy.
"I honestly don't remember how many I had. We just opened the fridge in the green room and went, 'Hello, why should we go anywhere else? It's all here!'
"But then the security man came in and asked us to leave."
Bloody Marvellous so excited to have been part of The One Show - thank you to all the team!

Gogglebox's Steph and Dom Parker have spoken out to deny a rumour that they are swingers - which is the first we've heard of it.
The married couple became embroiled in speculation when their luxury B&B was hired for a sex party by private members' sex club Killing Kittens. The club hosted a private event at the pair's manor house - The Salutation in Sandwich, Kent - for its older members aged 45 and over in May last year.
Speaking to You Magazine, 50-year-old Dom said: "Fundamentally, hand on heart, on my children's lives, we are not swingers.
"I've no desire to get my giblets out in front of anybody except my wife."
On the event - called 'Silver Kittens' - which they confirmed did take place at their manor house, Dom continued: "We genuinely weren't here.
"We get a lot of group bookings, where people take over the whole place,...

Phil Tufnell and Dom Parker are the first two celebrities to be eliminated from The Jump.
The two men failed to make it through to the next challenge after competing in a live jump-off.
The Jump live blog: Return of celebrity winter sports contest as it happened
The show began with the eight male celebrities being split into pairings to compete on the Skeleton track. The person from each pair with the lowest time was then required to take part in a live jump.
The two celebrities who provided the smallest jump then had to leave the competition.
First to face the jump was Mike Tindall, whose Skeleton track time of 46.08 seconds didn't beat Louie Spence's 44.79 seconds.
Tindall was joined on the ledge by cricketer Phil Tufnell, who lost out to Joey Essex on the Skeleton by less than a second.

We're standing in a hotel in Innsbruck, Austria, and it is just over 24 hours until the very first live show of The Jump. Pleasingly, Dom Parker has lived up to his Gogglebox persona by wandering in with a glass of red wine, but we don't blame him for having a drink - he's been through the wars.
Dom was sent to hospital earlier in the week after he was suspected of having a concussion, but he's on the mend now - although his shoulder's still dodgy (as is Jb Gill's, who admitted he's frustrated he can't give 100% at the moment - though he did joke that none of the other Jls boys would have dared to do the show, with poor Marvin being dubbed the least likely to follow in Jb's footsteps).
But they're not the only contestants feeling the pain. "I fall over about 15 times a day," Phil Tufnell winced.

Dom Parker has suffered a suspected concussion during The Jump training.
The Gogglebox star was injured while tackling a ski cross course for the Channel 4 series, The Mirror reports.
The 49-year-old is currently resting while doctors monitor his condition and decide whether or not he can continue training.
The incident occurred yesterday (January 26) while he practised at Innsbruck in Austria.
Last year, both Sir Steve Redgrave and Marcus Brigstocke were forced to pull out of the show while training for the ski cross event.
A spokeswoman for the show said: "Dom hurt his shoulder and later showed signs of suspected concussion so was monitored and is now resting up."
Jodie Kidd has already been drafted in as a replacement for Sally Bercow, who was forced to pull out after fracturing two ribs during training.
Strictly Come Dancing professional Ola Jordan was also sidelined by injury, and has since been replaced by Chloe Madeley.
