Did Benson do the right thing?
On Law & Order: Svu Season 25 Episode 12, she wanted to get closure and justice for Sykes and other families of children who went missing in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Sykes hated her for it, and finding Crystal's body after all these years broke her heart. Still, Benson's work allowed the families to get answers, which can be an important part of healing.
Shannah Sykes is No Amanda Rollins
Maybe it was because Rollins was fresh in my mind after Law & Order: Svu Season 25 Episode 11, but it felt like the Svu writers were trying too hard to make Sykes into Rollins 2.0.
Like Rollins, Sykes has a troubled past and deals with her demons through addictive behavior.
When Benson confronted her about her three-day bender, it reminded me of once when Rollins was gambling and trying to pretend the reason she...

This article contains spoilers for "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes."
The spectacular "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes" (read our review here) goes against the grain of one particular blockbuster trend these days: there are no extra scenes during the credits to set up the next installment of the long-running sci-fi franchise. Yes, the story does have a few dangling narrative threads that can be followed up with another movie, but none of them require any further teeing up. However, that doesn't mean "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes" credits are without a tease for something in the franchise's future.
If you happen to stick around to the very end of the rolling credits for "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes," not only will you have paid respect to the hundreds of people who brought this film to life, especially the visual effects artists delivering...

In an interesting bit of remake news, a 2006 film that was produced by horror icon Wes Craven will be remade for a new horror reimagining. The Breed starred Fast & Furious family member Michelle Rodriguez and Oliver Hudson. Variety reports that director brothers Sean and Bryan Furst will be sitting in the director seats for the new incarnation, which has been described as an “unconventional reimagining of the Wes Craven cult classic.” The brothers will produce the horror film together through their company, Curmudgeon Films.
It has also now being said that Grace Caroline Currey, who is known as Mary in both Shazam and Shazam: Fury of the Gods, as well as starring in 2022’s suspense flick Fall, is set to star in the remake for the Furst brothers. The plot of the movie revolves around Currey’s character Violet, who is “a rebel icon and badass on a mission...

Gone are the days when audiences were swept off their feet by Allie and Noah’s groundbreaking love story in The Notebook or wept their innocent hearts out while Kat read her poem in 10 Things I Hate About You — it’s the age of Sydney Sweeney-starrer Anyone But You. After an eternity of incredulous heroes and sex-centric plots, Anyone But You is a breath of fresh air in the steadily decaying rom-com genre. Although the movie is tailor-made to fit the current reality of inconsequential physical relationships and undefined emotions, it does a wonderful job of blending the best parts

Plot: Generations after the death of the Ape leader Caesar, humans have continued to slip down the evolutionary ladder, with apes taking their place. Noah (Owen Teague) is a young chimpanzee whose peace-loving village is attacked by an ape army led by the evil wannabe monarch, Proximus Caesar (Kevin Durand). Vowing to rescue his kin, he sets off on a journey across the new wasteland of earth, where he encounters a human girl (Freya Allan), who becomes his tentative ally.
Review: It was never going to be easy following up on the pretty damn good Apes trilogy 20th Century Fox put out a little while back. Many forget that director Matt Reeves, who was elevated to the A-list thanks to his work on those films, actually only directed the second and third films of the trilogy, with Rupert Wyatt directing the first film, which wasn’t quite the epic the other two were.

The big day has finally arrived for Fantastico Studio and Cannibal Tales, as Episode 1 of the horror visual novel is now available on Steam. Law & Order: Svu Season 25 Episode 9 Review: A Disturbing Case Pushes Benson Past Her Breaking Point
Benson's mental health crisis has been brewing for a while.
She has been on edge since Maddie Flynn's disappearance and hyperfocused on Maddie's case, and later on reconnecting with a previous victim who is now a cop.
On Law & Order: Svu Season 25 Episode 9, Benson nearly crossed a line she wouldn't have been able to come back from after dealing with a particularly horrific case. Where will she go from here?
It didn't help anything that an overly curious Noah asked about William Lewis, the man who kidnapped and tortured Benson on Law & Order: Svu Season 15 Episode 1.
The brief flashback gave me the creeps, so Benson was likely triggered big time.
The perp she was dealing with seemed like a mini-Lewis in the making, too. He had little empathy or remorse, kidnapped and tormented a fifteen-year-old girl, and helped brutally rape and murder another one.

The final moments of last year’s live action movie Transformers: Rise of the Beasts set the stage for an interesting franchise crossover. The main character of the film, Noah (Anthony Ramos), is invited to join the top secret G.I. Joe team, suggesting that a future movie in the Transformers franchise will bring both iconic properties together for an epic mashup.
But how serious was Paramount about that tease? The studio revealed at CinemaCon this afternoon that they are definitely planning on making that Transformers x G.I. Joe movie!

Chicago P.D. is on an extended spring hiatus as the show takes a break before its race to the season finale.
This is unfortunate timing, as the recent episodes of the show had ramped up fans’ interest, with Intelligence tracking a serial killer and then wrapping up the Torres undercover case.
At the same time, many fans may be upset that it feels like the season just began. The season premiere debuted in January, and the season finale will arrive in May.
Two Hollywood strikes delayed the production of the One Chicago shows. Many cast and crew members took to the picket lines to fight for better benefits.

Ever since Miley Cyrus‘ mom Tish Cyrus tied the knot with “Prison Break” actor Dominic Purcell, there’s been a serious rumor going round the Internet about how Tish stole her daughter Noah Cyrus’ boyfriend who now happens to be Noah’s stepdad.
The rumors began in early February when a source claimed that there’s bad blood between Tish and Noah because Tish went behind her daughter to date and marry her daughter’s boyfriend.
The source alleged that Tish was fully aware that her daughter and the actor had a thing but still went ahead to “pursue” him. And to make matters worse the source claimed that Noah was barred from attending her mom’s wedding.
Although a different source claimed that Noah and Dominic were in an on-and-off relationship but had broken up before Tish came into the picture, it’s still uncertain if the rumors are...

While it’s not the March release that Fantastico Studio was hoping for with Episode 1 of Cannibal Tales, those looking to sink their teeth into the game will be able to do so next month! The developer has announced that Episode 1 will be released on May 7 on Steam.
And no, it’s no coincidence that the game is being released on the birthday of the late Cannibal Holocaust director (and writer for Cannibal Tales) Ruggero Deodato. The team explains in the update that the date was chosen “in celebration and tribute” of Deodato, who would be turning 85 next month.
Fantastico Studio also revealed that there is a console release in the works for Cannibal Tales “this summer”. The overall plan for the game is for the second episode to be released in Winter 2024, and will “conclude beautifully” with the third episode, which will be a “3D survival horror adventure that...

The Chicago P.D. ratings improved in overall viewership and the key demographic with the latest episode.
Intelligence was on the trail of an abducted infant for the March 27 episode, which saw the return of an Svu detective to help the team.
This was also the first new episode after a serial killer murdered Noah. Noah was the young man Hank Voight was trying to look after.
Having the March 20 episode focus on Hank Voight (played by Jason Beghe) was what fans had wanted for a while.
The March 27 episode focused more on Detective Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) and how she interacted with the new detective.
Bojana Novakovic plays Josephine Petrovic on the Chicago P.D. cast. Detective Petrovic has an odd way of investigating cases, but she also added something fresh to the show. It’s unclear if we will see her again in Season 11, but she could return to help...

When Hugh Jackman bid farewell to his iconic role as Wolverine in the 2017 flick Logan, fans were struck by a bittersweet feeling. The movie proved to be an appropriate goodbye to the much-loved character, revealing a more vulnerable and emotional side to the clawed mutant. However, what many fans might not know is that The Wolverine couldn’t have taken place if Fox had adhered to their original plan to have Darren Aronofsky helm the 2013 flick.
The Wolverine, a sequel to X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), was originally slated to be directed by Aronofsky, who is best known for his dark and intense movies like Black Swan and Requiem for a Dream. But, as fate would have it, the director eventually dropped out of the project in order to allow James Mangold to step in and take the reins.

Chicago P.D. is finally circling back to the Gloria Perez case.
This means Officer Dante Torres will be the member of Intelligence that the next new episode focuses on.
As Chicago P.D. fans have noticed, the show shifts between characters now, with singular episodes focusing on a character rather than the team.
This shift in presentation continues with a new episode called Somos Uno, where viewers learn what Torres (played by Benjamin Levy Aguilar) has been up to while undercover.
The Chicago P.D. cast introduced Yara Martinez as Gloria Perez earlier this season.
Perez became an informant for Torres as Intelligence worked to take down a drug ring. Things got messy at the end of that episode when Perez and Torres became intimate during the case.
Chicago P.D. Season 11, Episode 9 synopsis

Tish Cyrus is speaking candidly about “issues” in her marriage to husband Dominic Purcell.
The 56-year-old mom and manager of Miley Cyrus married the Prison Break actor in August 2023. The wedding sparked rumors of a family feud after Tish‘s children Noah and Braison skipped the big day.
In March 2024, reports suggested that the potential feud stems from the fact that Noah was “seeing” Dominic before he started dating her mom. Tish, Noah and Dominic have not directly addressed the rumors.
However, during a recent episode of her Sorry We’re Stoned podcast with daughter Brandi, Tish opened up about how compatible she and Dominic really are and how they manage discord.
Keep reading to find out more…
The episode of the podcast featured an appearance from social media personality Spirit Daughter and was focused heavily on astrology. That is where Tish admitted that she and Dominic were not instantly compatible.

Jo Petrovic is a mirror for Hailey.
The final scene of Chicago Pd Season 11 Episode 8 was the equivalent of the Spiderman Meme.
It's amazing how often one can come face-to-face with another person who sees through the demons.
Jo is a relatively interesting character for the series to introduce, and it seemed as if she came out of nowhere. It was challenging to get a real feel for her, too.
While she didn't have as much presence during the harrowing Chicago Pd Season 11 Episode 7, we got to know her better this time.
And it was with a case that also fell into her purview better.
They also used this hour as another Hailey-centric, as Upton was next up on the roster for an installment that focused almost exclusively on her.
Thus, whether we like it or not, the merry-go-round of character-centric episodes keeps spinning.
Overall, the case was interesting and infuriating.

Call him the great collaborator. In the past year, Noah Kahan has duetted with Kacey Musgraves, Brandi Carlile, and Gracie Abrams, as part of his Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever) series. Now, he’s found the ultimate counterpart: A literal stick. Or as literal as it gets on Sesame Street.
In a teaser for the series’ upcoming 55th season, an adoring stick revealed itself actually to be a fan. “Oh, Noah, Noah,” it fawned, “Thank you, thank you.” Kahan played it cool: “Oh yeah, ‘Season of the Stick.

A lot of brilliant movie ideas never end up making it to the big screen, and it is quite a common thing in the industry. However, it isn’t every day that you hear that a movie that had a name as big as Tom Cruise in the lead cast of the movie did not make it out of production. Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened with Warner Bros’ Methuselah movie.

The Chicago P.D. cast added a new player on its most recent episode, and Bojana Novakovic continues playing Josephine Petrovic in the new installment.
This new episode is called On Paper, and it appears that Detective Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) will work hand-in-hand with Detective Petrovic.
Petrovic was brought in as a profiler to help with an intense case of abductions and torturing. Intelligence also figured out that they were chasing a serial killer.
The unfortunate result of this case was that Hank Voight became very close with a survivor (Noah), even letting the young man stay at his house.
Unfortunately, Noah (played by Bobby Hogan) was murdered at the end of Chicago P.D. Season 11, Episode 7.
Actor Jason Beghe teased that the case will lead to the return of the “old Voight” as he seeks to solve it by any means necessary.

“The show is obviously a love story which I think people expect, but it’s also about loss and life and how you spend your days and your time and the people with whom you do that,” reflects Ryan Vasquez about the new musical “The Notebook,” which just opened on Broadway at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on March 14. Max describes The Pitt as a “a realistic examination of the challenges facing health care workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the front-line heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh.”
Gemmill, who executive produced more than half of ER’s 330 episodes across its 15 seasons, will serve as showrunner on the series, which hails from John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. TV. Wells and Wyle will also be credited as exec producers.

To say The Notebook had a devoted, built-in audience before it sang so much as a note on Broadway would be an understatement this romantic tear-jerker never attempts.
Based on Nicholas Sparks’ 1996 bestseller about a young – then older, then much older – couple who survives a lifetime of tribulations (until they don’t), the musical opening tonight at the Schoenfeld Theatre is the theatrical equivalent of muzak, comforting in its unapologetically manipulative way and unabashed in its disregard for anything approaching the grit of the real world.
The reference to muzak, by the way, isn’t meant to suggest that composer Ingrid Michaelson looks back quite that far for her musical inspirations. She has a lovely way with a melody, even if so many of the songs...

Featuring over 70 episodes and two specials, Netflix‘s Queer Eye has been captivating viewers since it first premiered in 2018.
The show follows five LGBTQ advisors as they attempt to improve someone’s life over the span of a week by using their respective areas of expertise. Food and wine expert Antoni Porowski handles culinary education. Designer Bobby Berk does home renovations. Fashion guru Tan France tackles the wardrobe. Grooming genius Jonathan Van Ness gives the makeover. Culture and lifestyle chief Karamo Brown guides them through the whole journey.
A reboot of the 2003 Bravo reality series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, this more modern Queer Eye doesn’t (always) rely on the novelty of put-together gay men “fixing” slovenly straight guys. Instead it often digs deeper into its subjects’ lives and uses its stars natural empathy to help unpack everyday folks’ issues and ultimately instill confidence. As you might expect,...

The new HBO documentary “Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero” chronicles the Grammy winner as he embarks on his debut concert tour of the same name. The behind-the-scenes film includes the Grammy winner talking about how his family has come to not only accept his queerness, but embrace his sexuality. He’s even taken his dad to a gay bar.
“I thought [coming out] was just going to be like an elephant in the room for a very long time,” Lil Nas X told me Wednesday night at the doc’s Los Angeles premiere. “I never would have thought to do gay stuff with my dad, but he insisted. He was like, ‘No, I want to go with you guys!’ So, yeah, that was the best night ever.”
Lil Nas X’s brother, Tramon Hall, comes out as bisexual in the film. “I didn’t expect him to open up like that...

Just how big a deal is Jon Stewart’s return to The Daily Show desk? John Oliver, the former Daily Show correspondent turned HBO Last Week Tonight host, compared it to NBA legend Michael Jordan’s return to the Chicago Bulls in 1995 after retiring from the game.
“Jordan’s back!” Oliver quipped in an interview with NBC’s Willie Geist.
Oliver was caught as off guard as everyone else with the news, which broke in the middle of the interview with Geist.
“I mean, that’s, that is a surprise,” Oliver said. “That’s a show that needs a host. He certainly is a very, very good one. So yeah, it’ll be exciting to see what he does.”
But he also added that the show “should appoint a permanent host” after Stewart’s run, naming former Peacock host Amber Ruffin and former Daily Show correspondent Roy Wood Jr. as strong contenders.

It was a gloomy Thursday afternoon on Aug. 31, 2017. My wife, Jessica, and I were sitting in a doctor’s office, waiting to speak with a the nurse practitioner who specializes in child development, who would tell us the results of her observation with our two-year-old son, Noah. She’d asked various questions regarding what he does and doesn’t do daily, and had given him different activities to perform in front of her. Jessica and I were formulating theories about what she might say about our son and his development after we’d qualified for early intervention services in our state, receiving therapies for fine motor, communication and others. Our older daughter, Sophia, also went through intervention after not demonstrating the “required word count” after hitting 18 months of age. But once we’d put her in preschool, she never stopped talking and expected a similar outcome with Noah.
And then she walked back in,...
And then she walked back in,...
