Taylor Horne(I)
- Actor
- Production Designer
Taylor Horne is an actor, drag performer, musician, and visual artist. He grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania (Philadelphia suburbs). His father worked construction, and his mother waited tables. Growing up Taylor was always performing, whether in local theater or for his action figures in his room alone. He took singing lessons from a young age into his teen years while doing musical theater.
Taylor grew frustrated with feeling like the only parts he was getting were for Rock Opera roles so at 18 he decided to shift his focus back towards visual arts. In 2012 at the age of 22 while working the graveyard shift at a hostel in Old City - he heard about a production of The Rocky Horror Show that had just lost their Frank N' Furter weeks into the rehearsals. He immediately auditioned and secured his dream role.
This experience set Taylor on a journey of self-discovery with gender and sexuality and would shape the art and roles he set out to do. That January in 2013 he moved to NYC to make it as a performer - but the challenges of pursuing that dream without coming from money and still paying bills once again put his dreams on hold yet again. In 2021 Taylor returned to the stage hosting, doing comedy, and as a singing drag clown called Tillie. It has been a long road but the life experience and the highs and lows of 10 years in NYC and 10 years sober have prepared him now to go after the dream yet again.
