On the morning of Feb. 6, “Drake” was trending on X (formerly known as Twitter); not too unusual for one of the world’s most successful rappers. The reason, though, turned out to be extremely unusual for the pop star and reverberated across the internet for a week – what looked like a video of Drake engaged in a solo sex act was circulating. He hasn’t commented on the video or its veracity explicitly, but he seems to be taking the commotion in stride.

ScHoolboy Q has finally – and cryptically – shared a release date and track list for his long-awaited sixth album. Per a trailer and countdown on his website, the album, named Blue Lips, will drop at midnight on March 1.
The trailer embedded on the site via YouTube is set on what looks like a film or television a studio lot, where golf carts, trucks, tents, and workers align towards a large white screen with the track list written across it in the rapper’s signature handwriting. Titles include “Cooties,” “Love Birds,” and “Pigs Feet.

Doechii isn't trying to convince the world of her star power. As she explains to Popsugar, "I don't usually think about that." The 24-year-old Tampa, Fl, rapper isn't concerned with "setting intentions" with her music, either. That's why, so far, she's seamlessly tapped into different lanes of hip-hop without holding herself to a specific label. Her boom-bap, autobiographical breakthrough hit "Yucky Blucky Fruitcake" sounds nothing like the upbeat, airy rhymes delivered on her 2022 single "Persuasive." The same could be said for the rest of her multifaceted discography. And the fun of that leaves her little time to cater to her fans' every whim and want - she's too busy making the music they need.
"It's up for them to have that," Doechii says, unconcerned with fans' expectations. "However the art is interpreted, that's how it's interpreted. All I know is how I want them to feel."
Doechii's always been "super imaginative" with her art.

ThankGod4Cody didn't anticipate how Sza's era-defining "Ctrl" album would completely change his life in 2017 - but he also didn't foresee waiting five years to get the call to work on her next album, "Sos." The 31-year-old Grammy-nominated producer, born Cody Jordan Fayne, caught a major break with his contributions to "Ctrl" - "Love Galore," Broken Clocks," "The Weekend," and "Wavy (Interlude)" - some of which are the biggest records on Sza's debut album. But it took years for him to find himself back in the studio with the R&b sensation to cook up her next musical masterpiece.
"Never in my life did I expect for the next one to be that long," Fayne tells Popsugar of the years-long wait for "Sos." "I didn't prep for that in the post time of 'Ctrl.' I wasn't pressed to work with people. I'm thinking, yo,...

Don’t mess with Doechii’s creative vision. On Friday, she released the violent, dystopian music video for her song “Crazy,” where she — and a group of empowered women — dance, fight, and flaunt guns completely in the nude.
The C. Prinz-directed video opens, shockingly, with Doechii shooting another woman in the head. The video then transitions into what appears to be an empty warehouse as two women beat a car with a bat and Doechii drops her first verse.

Rashad has been an introspective rapper signed to hip-hop powerhouse Top Dawg Entertainment since 2013; he’s has the immense skill and vulnerability of his labelmate Kendrick Lamar, but none of the party songs. Before embarking on their upcoming Championship tour, which kicks off on May 4 in Vancouver, Kendrick Lamar, Sza, Schoolboy Q and other Top Dawg Entertainment artists are seen undertaking some tough workouts in a hilarious Lyft-sponsored commercial posted by the label.
The promo features all of the touring artists: Lamar, Sza, Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, SiR and Lance Skiiwalker along with Isaiah Rashad.
The video begins with Schoolboy Q swinging golf clubs on the course with Lance Skiiwalker before phoning Lamar who is attempting to teach Jay Rock how to play tennis. Meanwhile, Sza is shown hiking in the middle of nowhere, then zooming around in a golf cart.
Eventually all the artists come together to run a few laps on the track, lift some weights, and play more sports — badly.

The Weeknd did not bring out any guests for his headlining set Friday night at Coachella, which was surprising, given his collaborative spirit… and perhaps more surprising after the expectations set up in the proceeding slot on the main stage by Sza, who brought out Isaiah Rashad and ultimately Kendrick Lamar. But that was all right: Even as a determinedly solo act, Abel Tesfaye contains multitudes.
There was a natural segue between the end of Sza’s set and the beginning of the Weeknd’s, as she finished and he started with Lamar collaborations from the “Black Panther” album.
