Los Angeles, May 28 (Ians) Actor John Stamos was “angry” with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen when they decided not to do ‘Fuller House.’ The 59-year-old actor starred alongside the twin actresses when they shared the role of Michelle Tanner on the classic 1990s sitcom ‘Full House’ but they declined the chance to star in the 2016 spin-off, reports ‘Female First UK’.
He called them, and years later following the death of co-star Bob Saget – who died in 2022 at the age of 65 after suffering blunt head trauma – they arrived at his house with a frozen pork chop to make amends.

Hollywood actor John Stamos was seemingly not a huge fan of the Olsen twins on ‘Full House’. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were cast in the role of Michelle Tanner when they were infants, which made it difficult for Stamos as the girls kept crying, reports ‘Deadline’.
“We’re doing the scene. Joey and I were changing the baby, right? And Danny’s gone and said, ‘Take care of the kids’. ‘Yeah, we got it. We got it’,” Stamos said during an appearance on the Good Guys podcast.
“So, we’re carrying the baby downstairs and we take her in the kitchen and we hose her down. And she was screaming. Both of them. They wanted to be anywhere else but there, and so did I.”
Stamos continued: “They were 11 months old, and god bless them. They kept switching: ‘This one’s not gonna cry’. I couldn’t deal with it.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen joined the cast of Full House when they were less than a year old, but the twins’ behaviour led to star John Stamos demanding they be fired. That’s a little harsh there, Stamos.
While speaking on the Good Guys podcast, John Stamos revealed that the Olsen Twins just wouldn’t stop crying on the set, which drove him crazy. The actor described filming a scene where his character and Dave Coulier’s character had to change Michelle’s diaper. “We’re doing the scene. Joey and I were changing the baby, right? It's been nearly 28 years since "Full House" came to an end, but we're only now finding out that John Stamos reportedly had the Olsen twins fired from the beloved ABC sitcom - well, just temporarily. While appearing on Josh Peck's Good Guys podcast on Monday, the 59-year-old father of one claimed that he had Mary-Kate and Ashley fired after they wouldn't stop crying during one of their first scenes together. Mary-Kate and Ashley, who famously played Michelle Tanner, were 11 months at the time.
"I couldn't deal with it. I said, 'This is not gonna work, guys,' and I screamed it 10 times. I said, 'Get rid of them, I can't work like this,'" Stamos recalled. "So they got rid of them." Stamos said the show replaced the Olsen twins with "two red-headed kids," adding, "I'm sure their parents loved them and thought they were attractive. . . It had nothing to do with [them being] red-headed,...

John Stamos revealed on the “Good Guys” podcast (via Insider) that he had Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen booted from “Full House” when they were 11 months old as their persistent crying on set drove him crazy. The firing only lasted a couple of days, as the replacement babies for the Olsen twins proved even worse to be around. Stamos, who played Jesse Katsopolis on all eight seasons of “Full House,” was filming a scene where his character and Dave Coulier’s Joey change Michelle Tanner’s diaper. The Olsen twins switched off playing Michelle during the show’s run.
“We’re doing the scene. Joey and I were changing the baby, right? And Danny [Bob Saget] is gone and said, ‘Take care of the kids.’ ‘Yeah, we got it. We got it,'” Stamos said. “So, we’re carrying the baby downstairs and we take her in the kitchen and we hose her down.

In the early days of “Full House”, John Stamos got Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen fired, temporarily of course.
The Olsen twins, now 36, both starred as the adorable Michelle Tanner on the beloved sitcom, beginning at 11-months-old when the show began filming. They took turns playing Jesse Katsopolis’ (Stamos) niece up until the age of seven when the finale aired back in May 1995 after an eight-season run.
While appearing on the latest episode of Dear Media’s “Good Guys” podcast, Stamos explained that he unintentionally got the then-toddlers fired.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are an institution. From their debut on Full House, where both twins shared the role of Michelle Tanner (starting when they were only infants), the two sisters grew up never out of the public eye. While popular on the show, they parlayed their success to become a brand, launching a series of successful direct-to-video movies, followed by big-screen outings such as It Takes Two and New York Minute. But, what’s extra impressive about the twins is that, despite growing up under a microscope, the two seem to have always had an excellent sense for business, to the point that both are almost retired at this point, at the run old age of only thirty-six.
Neither Mary-Kate nor Ashley Olsen ever generated much controversy, with even tabloid coverage of the two rarely going beyond teenage hijinx. Their sister, Elizabeth Olsen, is famous for playing Scarlett Witch in the MCU movies,...

Since portraying Michelle Tanner on Full House for eight seasons, the Olsen twins have been American sweethearts. When the ABC sitcom ended in 1995, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen took their talents to the big screen in It Takes Two. However, fans might be shocked to learn that the mansion where the movie was filmed sat vacant for years and was recently destroyed.

Though many fans consider It Takes Two Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s best film, the sisters appeared in several TV movies while on Full House. They include To Grandmother’s House We Go (1992), Double, Double, Toil and Trouble (1993), and How the West Was Fun (1994). But the siblings’ first full-length feature film was 1995’s It Takes Two.

Kelly Rizzo, the widow of “Full House” star and comedian Bob Saget, marked the one-year anniversary of his death by taking to Twitter to ask owner Elon Musk to reinstate a verified check mark on Saget’s account. Saget’s Twitter account still boasts 2.2 million followers. The page has not been active since Saget’s passing last January and lost its verified check mark sometime in the last year.

The family disclosed the cause of death in a statement to Variety, writing: “In the weeks since Bob’s passing, we have been overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love from Bob’s fans, which has been a great comfort to us and for which we are eternally grateful. Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities’ investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us. The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved.”

Have mercy! John Stamos gave an adorable shoutout to Elizabeth Olsen on his Instagram Friday, in honor of the “WandaVision” finale.
Olsen’s two older sisters — a connection that has somehow surprised a good portion of the internet — Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen starred alongside Stamos in “Full House” for all eight seasons of the show, sharing the role of Michelle Tanner. During those eight years, Elizabeth Olsen hung out backstage — a lot.
In an interview with SiriusXM in January, Olsen joked “My earliest memories of that show is mostly after-school care.” According to the actress, she would generally get picked up from school and go straight to set to be with her family. So, in honor of Friday’s “WandaVision” finale, Stamos sent her some love, along with an adorable throwback photo of him hugging a young Olsen.

What does Wanda Maximoff have to do with Michelle Tanner? Nothing, if Elizabeth Olsen has anything to say about it. Full House fans first knew Elizabeth as the little sister to TV darlings Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who famously landed their breakout role as Michelle on the ABC sitcom in 1987. Though her last name might ring some bells for fans of the Tanner family, Elizabeth has been intent on striking out on her own. (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Michelle Tanner (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) after his wife passed away, families all over the world were able to escape their own lives and instead watch the hilarity of the Tanner crew on a weekly...

Something weird this way comes... By October 1993, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, then 7, were the youngest self-made millionaires, having started their careers at the ripe old age of eight months old when they were cast as Michelle Tanner on Full House. And they quickly started an empire, even launching their own company Dualstar, which would go on to produce all of their straight-to-vhs movies, including, of course, Double, Double Toil and Trouble. The TV movie premiered on ABC on October 30, 1993, and has gone on to become a somewhat overlooked Halloween film, aside from the Olsen twins' loyal followers who grew up obsessed with the sisters' every song and movie. But it's a low-key campy delight,...

When you're family, you're family. And though Bob Saget and John Stamos may not actually be brothers outside of Fuller House, there's still plenty of love between them. Throughout the years, they haven't just stayed in touch, they've stayed in each other's lives, hanging out and poking fun at each other in public. They've basically just been the best TV family anyone could ask for. And now they're continuing that trend with some adorable funny comments on each other's Instagrams. When Bob, 62, was promoting a comedy event he's doing in Portland over the coming weekend, he reposted the comedy club's Instagram — which meant he was sharing another picture of his headshot, which is his profile pic on Insta. "Portland!!!" he captioned the shot. And while John, 55, didn't clue fans in to whether or not he'd be showing up to give his support, he did have a little something else to say.

Happy Birthday, Uncle Jesse! On Sunday, Aug. 19, John Stamos got so many heartwarming birthday shout-outs from his Fuller House co-stars. Jodie Sweetin, Candace Cameron Bure, Bob Saget, Andrea Barber, and Lori Loughlin each mentioned how special he is to them via Instagram for the actor's 55th birthday. Lori — who plays John's on-screen wife, Becky Katsopolis, in Fuller House — posted a sweet video of herself and John singing "Love Is an Open Door" from Disney's hit movie Frozen. "Happy Birthday, @JohnStamos. It’s been 30 years of laughter, fun, and finishing each other's... sandwiches. Here's to 30 more. Have a beautiful day with [your wife, Caitlin] and your pride and joy, Billy!! Love you buddy.

Even before they were pulling all-nighters at Butter during their NYU days, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were the ultimate party girls. In fact, they even had a wildly popular VHS series about it: You're Invited to Mary-Kate and Ashley's Blah Blah Blah Party. In this week's episode of Mg & J Talk Mk & A, we look back at all of those shindigs, because yeah, we RSVPed then, but now? It's if up to me, we're going to have to see...my Google calendar, because Tbh, I think I'm slammed every weekend until early September. Like seriously, looking back, we're not 100% sure if we would've gone to all of these gigs, such as... Mary-Kate and Ashley's Birthday Party (Photo Credit: Dualstar Entertainment) Like, ugh, are we expected to give a gift? Mary-Kate and Ashley spend like a half an hour debating what the theme of this party should be before defaulting on Six Flags,...

There's something disconcerting about stumbling upon a Full House rerun and being not-quite-sold when Michelle Tanner delivers a thumbs-up and a "You got it, dude." A childhood shattered, you ask yourself: are Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen even good actresses? I have to watch vintage clips for work so for me the answer is an obvious "No," with an extra side of "Omg, no." But in this week's episode of Mg & J Talk Mk & A, we go back and forth about whether the Olsen Twins were the true stars of Full House. The core of my argument? Well Icymi, Mary-Kate and Ashley had a baby wrangler for the early years of their career, and as such, their stint on Full House is basically being fed lines and coaxed into reactions off-screen. And honestly, the delayed reactions grow more and more evident as you (and they) get older. I mean, the twins...

Get your Starbucks and cigarettes ready, because you're about to get a lesson in Olsenology. In Mj and A Talk Mk & A, two experts tackIe everything Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. And with our first video, we tackle, uh, Our First Video, the Olsens twins' first collection of thinly-strung-together sing-a-longs and true kick-off to their franchise. Yes, that's right: though the girls first shot into the spotlight on Full House (and we'll talk Michelle Tanner in the very near future) the beginning of Mary-Kate and Ashey as a brand starts with Our First Video. And what's controversial about that is in Our First Video, it's retroactively revealed that the Olsens built their industry upon a bed of lies. If you need proof, look no further than the song "Identical Twins." (Photo Credit: Dualstar) I've talked about this extensively in just about every other Olsen post I've written, but "Identical Twins...

They look a lot alike, but no they're not exactly alike. That's what the Olsen twins have been telling us for the past three decades — ever since they switched on and off playing Michelle Tanner on Full House — that there are major differences between Mary-Kate and Ashley. And yet as the sisters celebrate turning 32 years old today, they leave behind a long legacy of people asking which Olsen twin is which. So in honor of their 32nd birthday, we revisited all the ways media professionals got Mary-Kate and Ashley mixed up. Watch our video above to see the Olsen twins get asked time and time again who is who. If you think about it, that's just years of bad journalism. Because even though Mary-Kate and Ashley boasted about being identical twins in their early years — like deception was so hard there was even a freaking song about it in Our...

Throughout the '90s, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were America's most popular set of twins. But over the past decade, fans have started to wonder what happened to them. The twins have increasingly become more reclusive, only coming out of hiding for the occasional walk down the red carpet or to support their fashion brand, The Row. One of those times was this past month when the famous sisters showed up to the 2018 Met Gala. Immediately, fans had a lot of questions. For one, people wanted to know why their faces looked different, and two, they were curious on why the former child stars had been so private lately. 2018 Met Gala (Getty Images) Ever since the twins retired from acting when they were 18, their world has been a bit of a mystery — which is why we decided to poke through their private bubble and answer the questions that have followed...

You'd think that with their career kicking off at just nine months old, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's parents had high hopes for their talented little tykes. But in their early years, nobody was more mystified by their success than father David "Dave" Olsen. "They utilize their personalities pretty well," he told Washington Post back in 1991. "They're just kind of funny. They were almost like chimpanzees when they were little. You just dress them up and they're fun. I guess they're just photogenic." "Photogenic" seems like an underwhelming label for one's children, yet it's also not an inaccurate observation. Nobody could deny that the cameras loved the Olsen twins. And though Papa Dave's initial observations have more shock-factor in the comparisons — "chimpanzees" is definitely jarring —there's something ironic about his initial doubts. For years, the sisters denied being ruled by stage parents. But it is interesting that Dave took the reigns...

Have mercy! John Stamos just made a little girl's dream come true — and we can't help but swoon. When the Full House alum saw a viral video of a young fan crying because she wanted to meet Uncle Jesse so badly, he decided to do something about it. "This made my world! I need to FaceTime with this young lady," he wrote on Instagram. So he did! Check out the video above to see the adorable pics! When mom Rachel Houston posted the video of her little girl tearily asking to have Uncle Jesse over, it quickly went viral, eventually reaching the Uncle Jesse actor himself. "I want Uncle Jesse," her toddler daughter, Iris, can be heard saying between her tears. Once the actor saw the sweet video, the very next day he was FaceTiming with her. "Well, I had an illuminating 15 minute, 43 second FaceTime chat with my new friend,...

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen won America's heart as little Michelle Tanner on Full House, and without that, the twins would hardly be a household name today. But that isn't credit to the girls' charisma (lol) or comedic timing — it was baby wrangler Adria Later pulling the strings of the doll-like duo. As Full House lore goes, John Stamos wanted to get rid of the disobedient baby Olsens from the get-go. (Photo Credit: Getty Images) Apparently in those early episodes, the Olsens, as most babies do, cried a lot. And yeah, John Stamos was not about it. "I said, 'Get rid of these kids,' and they brought on a couple of unattractive red-headed kids," he revealed at a Grandfathered panel. "We tried that for a while and that didn't work. So I said, 'Ok, get the Olsen twins back.' And that's the story." Perhaps the girls were saved by not being,...
