Shocking news: Seth MacFarlane's "Ted 2" is taking fire from a not-insignificant number of critics who have taken issue with the film's gleefully un-p.C. humor. The charges: sexism, homophobia, transphobia and racism. But especially racism. The comedy sequel, out in theaters today, revolves around the foul-mouthed teddy's quest to be deemed a person in a court of law -- a struggle that in the film draws parallels with the plight of black slaves. It's a point that MacFarlane makes explicit, as in the following scene described (and subsequently criticized) by New York Times movie critic Manohla Dargis: "Mr. MacFarlane aligns Ted’s struggle with enslaved black Americans so that, while watching a scene in “Roots” in which Kunta Kinte is whipped,...

Mark Wahlberg and his favourite foul-mouthed teddy are back in this month’s Ted 2.
This time around, Ted and Tami-Lynn have plans to expand their non-traditional family by having a baby. Somehow, the most complicated part of this human-teddy bear reunion is the fact that Ted needs to prove in a court of law that he is in fact a person. Amanda Seyfried stars as his lawyer, who is comically named Sam L. Jackson.
Seth MacFarlane is back as the voice of the titular Ted, along with Giovanni Ribisi, Morgan Freeman, and Jessica Barth. We’ve got some new clips from the movie that show that John and Ted’s thunder buddy relationship is as strong as ever.
Check out the new clips below, and catch Ted 2 in Cineplex theatres June 26th!

Mark Wahlberg and his foul-mouthed friend are back and raunchier than ever in the first trailer for “Ted 2,” released by Universal Pictures on Thursday.
The sequel follows Ted, the plush, perverted bear voiced by Seth MacFarlane, and his attempts to become ever more human. He takes a human bride, but when it comes to procreation, well, there’s a catch.
The trailer starts with Ted asking his pal John (Wahlberg) for a sperm donation to help him father children with a human bride, which naturally leads to a gross-out scene at a sperm bank that leaves Mark covered in human protein.
