Charlie Boucher
- Writer
In 1996 Charlie graduated from Rose Bruford College with a theatre degree in writing. Despite some alarmed looks from her family and some unspoken but heavily implied doubts that she would ever put this degree to any practical use, she has managed to work fairly regularly as a professional writer.
Her short film "My Dead Buddy", directed by Richard Clark, won the 1997 Lloyds Bank Channel Four Film Challenge. Following this Charlie worked on a few TV programs that never left Development Hell, wrote and performed in a musical on the London fringe, wrote a corporate film script for Hammersmith and Fulham Council, and has had two plays broadcast on Radio 4.
In 2013 Charlie published her first novel; "Hiding the Smile".
