Seda Egridere is a Turkish born actress, director and producer. During high school, she moved to Evansville, Wisconsin and acted in several stage productions as well as appearing in TV commercials and music videos both in her native country and internationally. To pursue professional acting, Seda moved to Los Angeles and got accepted into the renowned acting school, The Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute following in the footsteps of many successful actors such as Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Scarlett Johansson.
In 2010, Seda had her feature film debut in Alina as the titular character. Her co-star was the famous Turkish-American actor Tamer Karadagli. Consulting director for the film was Bobby Roth whose work includes Prison Break (2005), Lost (2004), Revenge (2011) and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013). The film was released on the first streaming platform in Turkey, created for the film itself.
After Alina, Seda appeared in a guest role in the award winning Hicaz (2011), the directorial debut of Erdal Rahmi Hanay. In 2014, she appeared in the lead role for the feature film Inside Out and started working on her directorial debut Seasons of War (2023), a film about the struggles of a multi-ethnic couple in Sarajevo during the siege of the city in early 90s.
After a long break from directing and producing, in 2023, Seda started working on two documentaries. Journey to Ardino details the hardships her own family suffered under the Bulgarian regime from 1950s to 1990s, focusing on the name and religion change that was imposed on the ethnic Turkish minority population in Bulgaria over five decades. Charlie and the Green Ribbon explores the love pet parents have for their pets and the loss and grief that comes with the death of a pet.
Seda holds Bachelor Degrees in Psychology and English Literature as well as an MD with a residency in neurology. She has been an an avid coder for 20+years. Seda also owns multiple businesses as well as chairing a charity for Childhood Trauma Survivors.
