With You’s final season set to be released anytime soon this year, Netflix is putting an end to one of its most thrilling stories ever made.
Following Joe Goldberg’s horrifying deeds while he stalks his numerous love interests to death, the show’s finale hasn’t received an exact release date yet, but some brand new photos coming straight from the production set have seemingly confirmed one of the most beloved characters’ return while also starting fans’ viral theory.
You’s latest season left Joe on an even more sinister note than ever before showing that he’s felt guilt-free about all the murders he committed and then masterfully hid from going public.
While Joe’s current love interest, art gallery director Katherine "Kate" Galvin-Lockwood, seemingly has no clue about what (or rather who) she’s dealing with, season 5 may also feature some other characters that miraculously escaped...

Mortal Kombat director Simon McQuoid is back at the helm for the sequel Mortal Kombat 2, which recently wrapped production after a bumpy ride through the year of the strikes. This film will be bringing popular video game character Johnny Cage to the screen, with Karl Urban of Dredd, Star Trek, and The Boys taking on the role. Despite Urban’s established awesomeness, he was an unexpected choice for Johnny Cage, and there are some fans who have let it be known that they would have chosen someone else to play the part. We’ll have to wait and see how it turned out, but one thing we know right now is that Urban had a great time working on the movie, calling it “most action packed fun I’ve ever had on a film!”

Karl Urban marked the end of filming on Simon McQuoid‘s upcoming Mortal Kombat 2 on his Instagram, calling it “the most action packed fun I’ve ever had” on a film. Urban, who plays Johnny Cage in the follow-up to the 2021 film, also took the opportunity to show himself sans beard, which he’ll no doubt be growing back for The Boys, which will be returning for Season 4 later this year.
We’ve not seen a picture yet of Urban as everyone’s favourite action movie star, though MK2 producer Todd Garner had given us a peek of what to expect a few weeks back. Garner had taken to X last week to announce that filming had wrapped for the film, which according to Garner, won’t have a trailer out just yet.

Mortal Kombat director Simon McQuoid is back at the helm for the sequel Mortal Kombat 2, which started filming at the end of June last year… then had to shut down production when the Screen Actors Guild strike hit a couple weeks later. That strike came to an end in November, and filming resumed on Mortal Kombat 2 very soon after. Now filming has wrapped, and we know this because Max Huang, who plays Kung Lao in these movies, shared pictures from the wrap party! Mortal Kombat director Simon McQuoid is back at the helm for the sequel Mortal Kombat 2, which started filming at the end of June… then had to shut down production when the Screen Actors Guild strike hit a couple weeks later. That strike came to an end last week, and it was rumored that Mortal Kombat 2 would go back into production in early 2024. When producer Todd Garner saw that rumor, he tweeted, “This is not true. We are filming before then…” Way before then, as it turns out. Garner and cast member Karl Urban have both confirmed that Mortal Kombat 2 is already filming again!
Urban confirmed by sharing a picture that shows him hanging out with some of his castmates. You can check it out at the bottom of this article.

It’s been two years since the release of the live action Mortal Kombat reboot, and a sequel is on the way soon. Filming on Mortal Kombat 2 actually kicked off earlier this summer, you may recall, but it didn’t last long due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes going on at the time. But have no fear, because production on the movie sequel gets back underway real soon.
Responding to a report this week that suggested Mortal Kombat 2 will begin filming in early 2024, producer Todd Garner notes on Twitter that it’s actually kicking off even sooner.
“This is not true. We are filming before then,” Garner teases.
He writes in a follow-up tweet, “I promise I will keep the Mk Kommunity posted as soon as I have info on start date, etc. Everyone else is just speculating… or posting for clicks.”

A couple weeks ago, Mortal Kombat director Simon McQuoid rounded out the cast of the sequel – which is apparently simply titled Mortal Kombat II. Last weekend, we saw a picture of several cast members in a restaurant together. And now Ludi Lin (who plays Liu Kang in these new films) took to Instagram to reveal that filming has officially started! He shared pictures of a clapperboard and his salad, and those can be seen at the bottom of this article.
The screenplay for Mortal Kombat II has been written by Jeremy Slater, who was the lead writer on the Marvel / Disney+ series Moon Knight. Last year, Slater said that working on the project had been “really fun so far. … I’m working really closely with the director and the studios, and the game guys, and I think—I can’t say anything about the actual story, but I think they...

Producer James Wan revealed last night on Ig that filming is officially underway on Mortal Kombat 2, which has Simon McQuoid returning to the director’s seat from a screenplay by Jeremy Slater (“The Exorcist,” “Moon Knight”).
Martyn Ford (“The Sandman”), Desmond Chiam (“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”), Ana Thu Nguyen (Suka) and Damon Herriman (House of Wax, The Nightingale) signed on a few weeks ago to play Shao Kahn, Edenian King Jerrod, Queen Sindel, and Netherrealm demon Quan Chi respectively.
It’s interesting to note that Herriman previously voiced the role of Kabal in the 2021 film.
Newcomers to the sequel also include Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, Tati Gabrielle as Jade and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana.
Plot details remain scarce for the sequel, though the new cast additions continue to signal a bigger, bloodier affair packed with fatalities.

Mortal Kombat 2 recently started filming in Australia and producer Todd Garner shared a photo of the cast enjoying a meal. If you take a look at the photo, you’ll see Karl Urban sporting some frosted tips and a more clean-shaven face to play Johnny Cage.

Johnny Cage is an action movie star and martial artist who first appeared in the original Mortal Kombat game released in 1992. The character didn’t appear in the recent Mortal Kombat movie, but a post-credit scene teased that he would be on his way. It was announced earlier this year that Karl Urban was in talks to play Johnny Cage. I’m excited to see the actor in costume for the first time, but I have no doubt that he’s going to knock the role out of the park.

There's quite a few people out there who still have unfinished business with Joe Goldberg, and one of them is Ellie from season two of "You." On June 17, Netflix released an early teaser video for "You" season five during the streamer's annual Tudum fan event in Brazil. In the video, Penn Badgley hints the show's final season could feature some surprising guest stars - and one of them might just be Jenna Ortega of "Wednesday" fame.
"Hola, Brazil!" Badgley says at the start of the video. "I've heard you're on the edge of your seats waiting and theorizing about the epic conclusion to 'You.' More importantly, you're considering what, or should I say who, Joe will come up against as he finally returns to New York. Though I can't say who just yet, we all know there are many loose ends from Joe's past. The question is, 'Who are you?...

Netflix unveiled a short teaser during the Tudum Global Fan Event that included some of those loose ends – season one’s Dr. Nicky (John Stamos), season two’s Ellie (Jenna Ortega), and season three’s The Conrads (Shalita Grant and Travis Van Winkle) – but didn’t reveal exactly which of Joe’s victims will show up in the final season.
“We’re proud to see how You has captivated audiences around the world, becoming an instant sensation on Netflix with a resounding cultural impact that has grown season over season,” said Peter Friedlander, Vice President of Scripted Series, Netflix, US and Canada. “We’re excited — and a bit terrified — to see how it all ends for Joe Goldberg, but one thing is for...

Mortal Kombat director Simon McQuoid is returning to the helm for the sequel that we’ll refer to as Mortal Kombat 2 until someone tells us otherwise. Filming on this follow-up is expected to begin soon (unless the writers strike causes a delay), and over the last month and a half McQuoid has been steadily building up his cast. The Boys star Karl Urban has been cast to play Johnny Cage; Adeline Rudolph (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) is set to play Princess Kitana; and Tati Gabrielle (You) is taking on the role of Jade, the friend and bodyguard of Princess Kitana. Now Deadline reports that four more actors have joined the cast, filling the roles of Outworld emperor Shao Kahn, Kahn’s wife Queen Sindel, Netherrealm demon Quan Chi, and Jerrod, who was the King of Edenia (and married to Sindel) until Edenia’s warriors lost in the Mortal Kombat tournament.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actress Adeline Rudolph is going from Riverdale to Outworld for New Line‘s Mortal Kombat 2. Rudolph is the second Chilling Adventures cast member to sign on for the Mortal Kombat sequel after Tati Gabrielle announced she’s in talks to play Jade in the follow-up to director Simon McQuoid’s 2021 smash. McQuoid directs the sequel, featuring Karl Urban as the fast-talking Hollywood misfit fighter Johnny Cage.

Big screen sequel Mortal Kombat 2 is on the way, and THR reports this afternoon that Adeline Rudolph (“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”) has been cast as Kitana.
THR notes, “Rudolph will play Kitana, a character first introduced in Mortal Kombat II, the video game that thrust the franchise into the 1990s pop culture mainstream and made it what it is today. Kitana, known for her cutthroat steel fans, became one of the video game series’ signature characters. Kitana has a close bond with Jade.”
Jade, we learned last week, is being played in Mortal Kombat 2 by Tati Gabrielle, who co-starred alongside Adeline Rudolph in “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.”
Karl Urban (“The Boys”) will also star in Mortal Kombat 2 as Johnny Cage.
Simon McQuoid is reportedly back to direct Mortal Kombat 2. Previously reported, Jeremy Slater (“The Exorcist”, “Moon Knight”) is writing the upcoming sequel.
Stay tuned for more...

Adeline Rudolph, who made her debut as part of Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, has joined Tati Gabrielle, her co-star on the Netflix series, in New Line’s spine-severing sequel to 2021’s Mortal Kombat.
Simon McQuoid, who directed the previous movie based on the video game franchise, is back behind the console for the new feature, which sees Karl Urban leading the ensemble and diverse cast.
Written by Jeremy Slater, the sequel continues the story of a group of ragtag fighters, versed in the ways of martial arts, who defend our reality, which is known as Earthrealm, against the Outworld. The first movie, released during the pandemic in both theaters and on HBO Max, remains one of the streamer’s biggest hits to date.
